Played it in january after finishing Azure and had an absolute blast with it over 39h. Now I'm jumping into the Ys series and finished Ys II just today!
I just beat the main game, and one thing that surprises me is the fact that I can't find an online summary of the plot. Sometimes I like to read the plot after beating the game to make sure I got what was going on, but the plot itself was so simple that I didn't really need it. I'm just used to mainline Trails games being convoluted to the point where I missed important plot details, so a less complicated plot is a breath of fresh air.
Great review CommRio! It's a shame the sales in the west wasn't that well received. I been wanted to play this game ever since Mr. Kondo went out his way to help bring the Crossbell games over here, and the fact that it might have some connections to the Trails series. I wanted to get it day one, as well as Zero, Azure, and Reverie that I preorder them all on Amazon, but around August I was hit by some financial problems, so much so that I had to cancel my preorder. I was so depressed on the 19th of September. 😓 But maybe around November if I have the money, I will definitely pick this up.
Hopefully you'll get into the more secure financial position and be able to give the game a try. I think you're certainly going to enjoy it when that day comes.
very excited for this, since i've already spent a bit too much on some other stuff (GBVS Rising and my Kuro preorder) i'll have to settle for asking for it as a christmas gift, but it looks like a blast
Didn't play Nayuta, And I'm not planning to do it. It's a falcom game, And I can't bring myself to play those anymore. Might listen to the music, Even though It's melancholicand sad. Reminds me of a better era for Falcom music. But as always, I appreciate your review.
As a small note, part of the reason you probably couldn't complete the museum is because quite a few are locked behind NG+. Which adds another season for each area, many new quests(like a lot of the after story NPCs relate to NG+ quests) and uncap arts lvl(which is absolutely broken because then can get several charges on your "nuke" arts which are 1 time use in normal NG)
Sadly, Nayuta didn't "click" for me It seems it's made solely for the gameplay-first type of RPG fans, unlike the LoH Trails games that are very story-forward
I just started Nayuta and so far I am loving it! It is great to see this hidden gem finally get the localization it deserved!
Absolutely, I wasn't sure it was ever gonna happen but this game was worth giving everyone an opportunity to play.

A great sequence of games!
My semester ended and i can finally start playing last year's backlog! Gonna start with this one, genuinely looks like a fun game
Congrats on completing the semester and enjoy going through the backlog!
Love your videos. Just bought this game on Amazon. Can't wait to put it in my backlog lol
I hope you enjoy it when you do finally get to it
Just started it, loving it so far. It feels like a more chilled-out Ys with more of that Trails intrigue.
Yeah it's got some of the Napishtim era vibes from Ys that I really enjoy.

@@CommRio Thank you, and yeah hopefully. That's great to hear, I'm looking forward to it. 😁
@@CommRio I was able to buy the game off Amazon. Now I'm just waiting for it to be shipped. Thanks again for this review.

Makes sense and you'll have plenty to look forward to
I plan on playing it as a pace breaker once I finish CS2, Yakuza 0 and Yakuza 1 before continuing with things like Tokyo Xanadu and Cold Steel III
Yeah that's a lot of long RPG's and Nayuta will fit in great in between
Didn't play Nayuta, And I'm not planning to do it.

Nayuta's soundtrack is kickin so I do think you'll get something from that even if you never play the game.
very very close to the platinum , it was a fantastic game ! it's a short game but going for platinum will bring you to 70-80 hrs , very grindy.
Certainly, the completionist route is not a short one

Yep I figured as I was going through the game and confirmed once I proceeded to the afterstory
Sadly, Nayuta didn't "click" for me

That's fair it's definitely a lot less story centric as the Trails games
