This song still brings tears to my eyes listening a decade after I had the honor of performing it. The build up leading to the organ is probably the single most epic thing I've ever been a part of. Looking at the raw emotion of my director as he guided us through the song is something I'll never forget. The energy on that stage was something so incredibly unique
"A battle of heart and mind. A battle between goals and inner demons. A battle between good and evil. We all struggle with something. But you must remember to have faith in what you believe, and the Angel in YOUR Architecture will appear and show you the way, in any battle, in any situation."
yeah the videos still have the same level of analysis but I've come so far in how i present and edit the videos! and I'm still terrible compared to real pro video folks
We are playing this in our varsity band for our spring concert. It's nice to hear other people's views on this piece as well! I'm in love with this piece!
This piece is amazing. Gonna be playing some percussion in it for intercollegiate band and this really have me a good idea of the score. You did an amazing job on this!
I just thought of a great composition for you to do.... it’s perfect...... not too long but not too short.... Bells Across the Atlantic by Adam Gorb! It’s a beautiful piece and would be perfect for you to do.... at least, in my opinion.
yeah, you've caught one of the things I forgot! a lot going on and even with proofing things several times stuff sneaks by unnoticed! hope you enjoyed the video otherwise
I plan on doing a Hazo piece soon! This one is good but it's part of a suite so I'll see if I wanna chose this one. But if the channel keeps going who's to say I can do multiple Hazo pieces.
Wow, you've taken on beasts before, but this is one in particular is no joke. Cheers for taking it on man.
i have even bigger beasts on the chopping block so keep a loojk out for new videos

19:15 It sounds like something from Symphony No. 4 by David Maslanka.
Old 100th is a core theme in Maslanka 4 and is present towards the end of this piece as well.
Such a beautiful piece!

I think Bernstein did something similar with the tritone in the bass in the end to Somewhere.
pretty much the same as this, obviously WSS came first

No one talks about how hard the clarinet part is on the build up before the main theme. Like at 5:37
4:12 Start of piece
Would love to see Auguries of Innocence
That composition is one of my absolute favorites!!!! Great choice!!
@@roheryn43 the Steven Bryant?
Anthony O'Toole no.... William Pitts
@@roheryn43 oh i thought it was the first movement of the bryant piece
Anthony O'Toole of which Bryant piece are you messaging about? Maybe it might be one I haven’t heard of....
Doesn’t the phrase in the second staff continue after measure 103?
