Honestly i wouldn't be surprised that one of the franchise will cause problems for the 2nd game to not come back (ash, claptrap, brock) Im scared that ash is going to be the main problem since he's from a huge movie franchise Claptrap is also going to be a problem for controversy reasons (if they keep the og voice lines since his previous VA got in some massive controversy with the company) Brock i got no clue if its going to be ez or hard to get the green light for him
@sonicletrol4501I feel like Gearbox would 100% be down as long as they replace the voicelines with Claptrap's current VA along with Valve. However I'm not so sure about how they'll managed to get a okay from Warner Bros and the people who own Evil Dead
@3spoons366 David Eddings voiced the character from the first Borderlands through The Pre-Sequel and was also a Gearbox employee Eddings did not return for Borderlands 3 following a public falling-out with Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford. Eddings claimed he was not paid for his performance previously and was offered "sub-standard rates" for the third game, leading to a dispute where he alleged he was "rage fired"
William Kasten is like a genie but instead of rubbing a lamp and making 3 wishes you find him morphing into your buisness offices and dissipating leaving behind fully voice acted max dialogue and a half-eaten bag of pistachios. Now that I think about it that’s not very genie-like.
@MakusinMeringueSam: ”Katzen? I remember him. He’s like a genie, if instead of three wishes, he gave you a half eaten bag of pistachios-Shells intact-a makeshift bed underneath the desk in your office cubicle, and an incomplete resume hand-written in italicized Courier New.” Max: “And all my dialogue for this game!” Ash: “What does any of that have to do with Genies?” Sam: “Huh. Not all that much, come to think of it.”
@TheWisme My personal pick is a bit of an oddball one but it’s the Joke explainer 7000 from Silvagunner. If they ever do that conceptualised all female poker night I think she’d bounce off the others at the table really well and just be a really good online culture rep like strongbad while being a pick legitimately nobody is expecting.
Fun fact about Brock and ash’s connection, Ash says that Brock is an old family name in the 2015 Evil Dead show, it’s revealed that Ash’s dad is named Brock. I have no idea if this a coincidence, or if they thought of that connection while writing the show
@Lesbomarx I would argue that it took me... 7 minutes to find and obtain this on internet archive. I'd also argue that if it isn't for sale anywhere then it becomes free-ware by default. I actually totally missed these games back in the day, so thank god for them black flag sailors.
@Cure_Hana "crackdown on games with adult themes" yeah, no, they aren't even cracking down on games with the occasional sex scene or something. They got forced by Collective Shout to take down all porn games.
I swear Poker Night is a mood, I remember playing it late at night just to chill. Thank you so much for making me remember such a special, quirky game.
Considering balatro pretty much validated strongbad’s flush house, it wouldn’t surprise me if royal butterfly gets referenced at some point if it isn’t made into a real hand.
The trouble with indie characters is that almost any ones you might get that have any pull don't have a voice yet. And the characters really need to talk for this sort of thing to work. Text popping up is a lot less natural.
Something to mention is that Ash is specifically mentioned in-game as from the "Army of Darkness" franchise. Army of Darkness is not owned by MGM, but Universal. This is why it's treated as its own separate franchise, why it is seemingly ignored in later installments except for subtle easter eggs, and potentially why it got to poker night in the first place since the license was likely much cheaper.
The only disappointing part of this video is the clip used for Steve's party bazooka wasn't the Brock Samson version purely because of Brock's reaction.
@clydenorthrup5484 It wasn't even pummeling. Samson stands up calmly and walks straight towards Steve. Steve runs off and Samson calmly changes course to follow until both are offscreen. No noise of struggle. No screams. Just your imagination filling in the blanks far better than the devs ever could.
There was something really cool about the jarring art styles of the four bombastic characters in the first game that the sequel simply doesn't get, in my opinion.
everyone's talking a potential poker night 3, but i think the concept of "dudes i recognise playing cards" is too good to not be tied to the series. Get different card games, different IPs. Throw the concept to Mattel, get Barbie, Skeletor, Barney The Dinosaur and You all playing Uno or something
Claptrap being a big threat is funny considering in borderlands lore, his most proud achievements are everyday things we do without noting or noticing them at all, such as opening a door
Okay, but when are we gonna hold an actual poker tournament? You, me, and any other Poker Night content creator who aren't cowards. I'll take on all of you, any time, any place! Great video, worth the wait in every regard. And I am honored to have offered my voice to such a project, I would love to come back on the next video on Poker Night 3- oh... right
To be honest I entirely forgot of the existence of Gotham City Impostors, a game i havent played since the 360 was the most recent game console. I miss it so much, and remember how bad i was at it.
21:39 Oh my heart could *not* take a full Monika in a Poker Night game. At least Freddy Krueger hates me. Imagine making your obsessed serial killer cry because she's out of chips in the hand you won. Horror game of the decade.
When I heard Nick Herman's voiceover I immediately went "Wait... that's Casperr!! :D" Man, watching this video is nostalgic. I had such a good time with Poker Night. I miss it.
Funny enough my first ever exposure to this game was on IOS- and I indeed still have the fully-functioning app on my iPhone 11 today.. many years later! Didn't know it was so rare... certainly won't ever delete it now. Great video.
Minor correction: The Expanse isn't an IP that Telltale have created, it's originally a series of novels adapted into a TV series. I don't know if you already knew that, it's just the way you phrased it made it sound like they had created it themselves.
I miss this game and hate myself for not buying it before it was unlisted, developers weren't afraid of featuring eachother's characters in their games (or even tv series etc) and it was the most prominent in TF2 with all the cosmetics it offered for preordering certain (good) games. Despite being so small and simple its really enjoyable to just spend time with the cast because they're convincing enough that they're actually there, so to say. I wish there was more games like this, fun & relaxing gameplay with unlockable content in other games by just playing on top of it? Unheard of these days.
Cool to see Grayfruit mentioned as a thank you. His PN content is one of my constant rewatches. To be fair I probably never know of this game if it weren't for him, and it's one of the first things I watched of his channel.
honestly, it doesn't even have to be poker. all I truly want is to be able to go back to The Inventory and play any game with my favorite animated icons
I played this game an unreasonable amount and I never ever saw that sam and max song scene. is it exclusive to the sam and max themed background or something?
yeah, it's exclusive to the full sam and max set - all of the other "location specific" dialogue can be found on the wiki: theinventory.fandom.com/wiki/Location_Specific_Dialogue
@meikkon_ wack! I think I had a tendency to keep it set to the default background so I never knew that was a mechanic. I started watching this video a couple days ago and then went back to finish it only to find you shouted me out! cheers for that, and this video was amazing!
If skunkape does make a poker night 3 or for whatever reason can't get Brock or Ash back in poker night 2 I hope or some other 3rd reason, I hope they add some characters from dispatch like Robert Robertson, sonar, flambe or invisigal to tie it all together
@Ghostlytoastly_06idk about him, but to me? Monika, Robert as the other guy said, Mark Grayson cuz why not, and idk, what about the devil from the cuphead show using the voice actor for the cartoonish guy.
the poker night games have always been some of my favorite games i originally found out about them through tf2 and i played the first game for the items and loved and got the second game and later got texas holdem , I wish they were back on steam
Honestly to this day I still prefer Poker Night 1. However, a lot of Poker Night 2 I overlooked as you included in the video. Gonna install it again after this! It’s been a decade-I can’t believe it…
Never knew Brock was based on Sid Vicious and it makes so much sense. Apart from his eloquence and way with words. This isn't my joke but... "Sid treats words like a blender treats vegetables."
Here’s a random fact regarding Max’s Poker Night voice actor, Dave Boat. He had also voiced a character from the Call of Duty Zombies franchise. Specifically Samuel J. Stuhlinger. The one who had Richtofen’s voice in his head in Black Ops 2 and 4.
My first game was very funny because in the first hand I had a strong suit of cards, and Ash and Brock kept raising to see who blinked first. Both went all in with awful hands, and that's how I got my weirdest 60k to start with
Never knew about the Psychonauts connection to Portal. Thinking about it, Ford Krueller from thise games would have been a great pick for a Poker Night 3, though they'd probably have to establish some lore to establish him not using his Psychic Powers to cheat.
I can imagine the Psychonauts' special elimination be using the sneezing powder on the character, making them sneeze their brain out before their body wanders off around the Inventory.
He be great as the barkeep. Just going about his work in the background, like one of his many roles at camp. Occasionally you'd see some kind of little in-joke interaction between him and one of the bar patrons.
I honestly find it so strange that we haven't see more Poker Night-likes out and about. I've played one with anthro animals on a boat that's clearly a send up to Poker Night but the context is that they were a gang who pulled off a heist at some point in the past and they chat about it while playing cards but there should be way more character driven card games like this around.
I think a poker night with some of the popular characters on the Internet could be cool just so they don't have to go for big, expensive, ips. Maybe cain from digital cirus as a dealer could be fun Or the host of toonami would be pretty cool. Any one else got interesting ideas?
You mean to tell me that Sal was Killer fucking Bean? Can't believe I had to find that out through a tertiary tidbit of knowledge in a different video game's fan documentary.
34:40 When you bring up unused lines for glados pertaining to 5 challenges, this may have had to do with the (I believe now discontinued) cosmetics for the Portal 2 Co Op robots. Just like TF2 you could equip hats and skins to Atlas and P-Body that you could buy from the Mann Co store, and in PN2's case perhaps unlocked items from the game. The reason I suggest this is because of the skins you could unlock for Borderlands 2 and items for TF2. They might have intended to go further for Valve's newest title at the time.
20:43 Actually Brock did appear in another game, a schockwave (imagine flash but more primitive) game called Rough Justice. There's also a lost flash game, so like technically your wrong.
I'm a huge fan of Sam & Max, but I'm young~ish so I got introduced through the skunkape remasters. I even played the vr game (I liked it, but it was definitely different from what I think people expected). It is funny watching people cope about how "season 4 is just around the corner" when the original game company died before even considering it, and I'm pretty sure that it's going to take years for skunkape to make, if they even plan on making one, which is unlikely.
Well, this settles. I'll watch the first video now before I start this one. Everyone else, I bid you adieu and farewell! Enjoy the video! Edit: okay i'm back, how is everybody feeling? That first video was a wild ride! Like most of everybody else, I also come from TF2 and only knew Heavy, with slight knowledge of Max and the Newgrounds character. I vividly remember seeing a screenshot of that game and never thought much of it. I couldn't believe this whole series was a telltale endeavor! Tycho being a representative of PAX as well?? This is some deep hidden lore I have never seen before in my 13+ years in the gaming community. Honestly some great documentation right here. Can't wait to delve into this one. See ya'll on the other side :O
Extremely glad you talked about the soundtrack, I came for the conversations and stayed for the great music by Jared. This video was excellent and I'm glad I'm watching it as early as I can! I love the Poker Night series, specially this game. Really hope some developers picks up the idea. This great piece might help to share some awareness, too!
so funny enough, I met Bruce Campbell at the rose city comicon in Portland... 2013 I wanna say it was? Asked him about Poker Night 2 (or just said I liked his inclusion in it, not knowing he didn't voice Ash in it) and he told me it wasn't him. Said he didn't get a big enough paycheck offer to take it.
Nostalgia is when you like something just because it's from the past, and not because you actually appreciate the story on its own merits. I'd encourage you to give Portal more credit, as it's a genuinely fantastic narrative.
The soundtrack really is fantastic, I'm glad you devoted enough time to really appreciate it in the video. With regards to Ash I never understood the mountain of hate Danny Webber got, I thought he did a pretty solid impression of Bruce's voice and mannerisms, and almost sounds dead on when he's really confidently projecting himself.
Gosh, what a nostalgic video, great job partner. For I do remember playing Poker Night At The Inventory 2 a lot when I would be on road trips that or just out in public on my phone, suck a shake that when I had gotten some sort of update that it just delisted it from my library and just made it unavailable to download anymore, but I will never forget what it brought to me. As of today it’s actually still fun to hop on my laptop and play the games 1 and 2 whenever I got free time. As it’s nice to just sit and play and occasionally hear the banter of one character to another as it was just… nice. With it either being Brock and Claptrap bickering to how claptrap needs a bodyguard, that or how Heavy would say “I will make hat of you little bunny” to Max was just a barrel of laughs. That and the unlocks, I’ll never get rid nor delete the cosmetics I have in TF2 from 1 and 2, that or even my borderlands 2 unlocks. This really just makes me wish that we would get another Poker Night At The Inventory 3 featuring a lot of characters and other things, but that is only a wish and a thought, 2 things that may never come true. But it’s best to live with what we got now, two prices less pieces of nostalgic media of a classic game of video game poker. ♥️ ♣️ ♦️ ♠️
Came back here after finding out Poker Night 1 will be back on Steam in March.
Hopefully we can get this one back too.
Honestly i wouldn't be surprised that one of the franchise will cause problems for the 2nd game to not come back (ash, claptrap, brock)
Im scared that ash is going to be the main problem since he's from a huge movie franchise
Claptrap is also going to be a problem for controversy reasons (if they keep the og voice lines since his previous VA got in some massive controversy with the company)
Brock i got no clue if its going to be ez or hard to get the green light for him
Same here!
@sonicletrol4501I feel like Gearbox would 100% be down as long as they replace the voicelines with Claptrap's current VA along with Valve. However I'm not so sure about how they'll managed to get a okay from Warner Bros and the people who own Evil Dead
@sonicletrol4501whats the controversy with claptraps voice actor?
@3spoons366 David Eddings voiced the character from the first Borderlands through The Pre-Sequel and was also a Gearbox employee
Eddings did not return for Borderlands 3 following a public falling-out with Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford.
Now that I think about it that’s not very genie-like.
this officially wins comment of the year for me
This comment felt like reading a conversation in a Sam and Max game.
@AdahnFlorenceNeeds more... Sam-isms and metaphors.
I love how you can read this in either Sam's or Max's voice and it still would fit them really well
@MakusinMeringueSam: ”Katzen? I remember him. He’s like a genie, if instead of three wishes, he gave you a half eaten bag of pistachios-Shells intact-a makeshift bed underneath the desk in your office cubicle, and an incomplete resume hand-written in italicized Courier New.”
Max: “And all my dialogue for this game!”
Ash: “What does any of that have to do with Genies?”
Sam: “Huh. Not all that much, come to think of it.”
The fact there is a small chance of a poker night 3 brings a smile to my face.
I’d be happy with a rerelease/remaster of the second that one is gonna be hell to get the rights for everyone save Sam and Max
@remiliascarletmybeloved I know anything evil dead related will be hell to get but venture bros might be worse depending what happens with warner.
@remiliascarletmybeloved it will be easy to get portal but they will have suck Randy Pitchford off to get borderlands.
I've only got one idea of a character that would be good for it, and that would be Jax from the ADC
@TheWisme My personal pick is a bit of an oddball one but it’s the Joke explainer 7000 from Silvagunner.
If they ever do that conceptualised all female poker night I think she’d bounce off the others at the table really well and just be a really good online culture rep like strongbad while being a pick legitimately nobody is expecting.
i cant explain why but kim kitsuragi from disco elysium would be PERFECT for poker night 3
Because he's Sam.
A cool and collected character that can get quirky and babysits a far more crazy partner.
i've never wanted something more oh my god
"Detective, no, you should not go all in just because some voice in your head told you so"
The most anticipated sequel since... well, y'know.
NINETY MINUTES???
Since WW2?
@somebody5213woah
but i dont know though
since sliced bread 2
Fun fact about Brock and ash’s connection, Ash says that Brock is an old family name
in the 2015 Evil Dead show, it’s revealed that Ash’s dad is named Brock.
I have no idea if this a coincidence, or if they thought of that connection while writing the show
Either way it’s funny because one: it could be a coincidence, and b: they decided to make a connection to a poker game with a lack of seriousness.
are you trying to tell me not everyone has played poker night 2
@MaxEverywhereSystemwell it’s not like it’s easy to do any more
@Lesbomarx I would argue that it took me... 7 minutes to find and obtain this on internet archive. I'd also argue that if it isn't for sale anywhere then it becomes free-ware by default.
I actually totally missed these games back in the day, so thank god for them black flag sailors.
Fun fact, the TWD character Doug is based on Doug Tabacco, an employee at TellTale, making his cameo in PN2 doubly relevant to the company
that is a fun fact indeed, nice catch!
38:56 "so indirectly, you have ash williams to thank for tf2 hats" yessirrrrr
Can't wait for Poker Night 2 return and hopefully, the 3rd game
If there's no chance for one of the rights to be resecured for a character or so, would a replacement do?
Steam wouldn't allow a third sequal, you know why.
@hccdgvvfccdgn993I'm sorry but I don't know, could you explain why?
@Cure_Hana "crackdown on games with adult themes" yeah, no, they aren't even cracking down on games with the occasional sex scene or something. They got forced by Collective Shout to take down all porn games.
@Cure_Hana its a "valve cant count to three" joke, yall
I swear Poker Night is a mood, I remember playing it late at night just to chill. Thank you so much for making me remember such a special, quirky game.
Considering balatro pretty much validated strongbad’s flush house, it wouldn’t surprise me if royal butterfly gets referenced at some point if it isn’t made into a real hand.
35:29 seeing a personality core that is clearly Wheatley not talk in Stephen Merchant's voice is so cursed
Poker night 2 is one of the best crossovers over and i wish that we can get a spiritual successor (maybe with indie characters).
The trouble with indie characters is that almost any ones you might get that have any pull don't have a voice yet. And the characters really need to talk for this sort of thing to work. Text popping up is a lot less natural.
NO INDIE CHARACTERS.
@maplecinna3979 i mean, they were able to get a voice for tycho that worked well. i think it very much depends on what games they would take from
digital horror and analog horror characters interacting together. That would be cool!!! :D idk lol
STOP @chipkid
I find it incredibly funny that bruce campbell does not give a SHIT about videogames yet evil dead has been so influential to them.
He voiced his character in a evil dead video game and dead by daylight so I don’t see why this one woulda been any different
@dav@davemardrov777probably because there wasn't much money in it
@davemardrov777 Maybe because he was producing the Evil Dead remake at that time. He's always been busy.
@davemardrov777 Apparently Bruce Campbell wasn't even told about the game's existence.
@LiaManilaI have to imagine his agent or whoever handles these collaborations didn't see it as a worthwhile time investment or something
"UGH!
. . .
Excuse me."
. . . . .
"Heyo-?"
*pummeling noises*
@clydenorthrup5484 It wasn't even pummeling. Samson stands up calmly and walks straight towards Steve. Steve runs off and Samson calmly changes course to follow until both are offscreen.
No noise of struggle.
No screams.
Just your imagination filling in the blanks far better than the devs ever could.
@PlebNCNo you can hear Brock beating up Steve
"an old wives tale, like representative democracy"
This aged well for the year 2024
CLAPTRAP KNOWS BALL??! THE MF PULLED GLADOS
Claptrap: “Me, my minion and the bad bitch I pulled by being pathetic
does it not get boring being a npc that repeats everything they read online?
There was something really cool about the jarring art styles of the four bombastic characters in the first game that the sequel simply doesn't get, in my opinion.
I think you're right - the only one who really pops out in 2 is sam
It’s the simplicity in the character designs.
Disagree but imagine how cool it’d be if ash was live action
Very happy to be a part of this. Stellar video on one of my favorites from the studio.
Great video, I love the Poker Night series so much. Such strange and special little games.
sonic & knuckles doilus video
Yoooo
Yeah, I really wish there were more titles in the series, as I really enjoy the banter and the relaxed poker gameplay
Hi Cyber.
Imagine this being the next topic of the podcast
everyone's talking a potential poker night 3, but i think the concept of "dudes i recognise playing cards" is too good to not be tied to the series. Get different card games, different IPs. Throw the concept to Mattel, get Barbie, Skeletor, Barney The Dinosaur and You all playing Uno or something
My guy, its called "Poker night at the inventory". Why the hell would we play Uno?
@mrduck1490 I literally state in my comment that I'm talking about the concept of just playing card games not specifically poker
Claptrap being a big threat is funny considering in borderlands lore, his most proud achievements are everyday things we do without noting or noticing them at all, such as opening a door
Sam and Max is one of my favorite Telltale games, I just love the surreal and cartoonish atmosphere it has.
Okay, but when are we gonna hold an actual poker tournament? You, me, and any other Poker Night content creator who aren't cowards. I'll take on all of you, any time, any place!
Great video, worth the wait in every regard. And I am honored to have offered my voice to such a project, I would love to come back on the next video on Poker Night 3- oh... right
With poker night 1 getting rereleased, there is a hope in the future
Fun fact, Bruce Cambell played the main character in a ps1 konami game, I believe it was double helix
TWO DAYS.
skunkape games better bring this one too
To be honest
I entirely forgot of the existence of Gotham City Impostors, a game i havent played since the 360 was the most recent game console. I miss it so much, and remember how bad i was at it.
21:39 Oh my heart could *not* take a full Monika in a Poker Night game. At least Freddy Krueger hates me. Imagine making your obsessed serial killer cry because she's out of chips in the hand you won.
Horror game of the decade.
the scariest game of all: cute woman.
WE’RE SO BACK. POKER NIGHT IS BACK!!
Guess whats out in 2 hours from now? Poker Night At The Inventory remaster lets go bb
12:20 that guy that brock flings out of the door is a bandit from walking dead s1.
he says that at 59:53
How is Killer Bean of all things connected to this. This is crazy
Hey, nice timing. I just finished my rewatch of Grayfruit's Poker Night streams, so I'm glad to see this so soon. Well done on both videos.
I like the theory that you play as Gordon Freeman in the first and as Shell in the second one for no particular reason
When I heard Nick Herman's voiceover I immediately went "Wait... that's Casperr!! :D"
Man, watching this video is nostalgic. I had such a good time with Poker Night. I miss it.
Funny enough my first ever exposure to this game was on IOS- and I indeed still have the fully-functioning app on my iPhone 11 today.. many years later! Didn't know it was so rare... certainly won't ever delete it now.
Great video.
Low key one of my favorite game series
I had no idea about the OST being recover of the character's universe. They are completely unrecognisable with the different instruments and pacing
Minor correction: The Expanse isn't an IP that Telltale have created, it's originally a series of novels adapted into a TV series. I don't know if you already knew that, it's just the way you phrased it made it sound like they had created it themselves.

8:37 ts the voice of that one tf2 youtuber
honestly, it doesn't even have to be poker. all I truly want is to be able to go back to The Inventory and play any game with my favorite animated icons
watched part 1 while eating a hot dog
planning to do the same thing again
The day has come! Thanks for letting me be a part of this.
1:12:00 funny how a saxophone can make a depressing and mournful song sounds jazzy
I started watching this video a couple days ago and then went back to finish it only to find you shouted me out! cheers for that, and this video was amazing!
the TTHM stream gave the vid another algo run so I thought a special thanks was in order 🙏
Spongebob
Another banger from Meikkon.
Thank you for letting me be a part of this!
25:37 “tragic jester”
36:42 golden freddy sound origin!?
For me it sounds like tinky winky from slendytubbies
If skunkape does make a poker night 3 or for whatever reason can't get Brock or Ash back in poker night 2 I hope or some other 3rd reason, I hope they add some characters from dispatch like Robert Robertson, sonar, flambe or invisigal to tie it all together

@dankestmeme3261 I would like to know who you would want for the roster. I'm genuinely curious, who would you like to see in poker night?
@Ghostlytoastly_06idk about him, but to me? Monika, Robert as the other guy said, Mark Grayson cuz why not, and idk, what about the devil from the cuphead show using the voice actor for the cartoonish guy.
@oxob3333 interesting choices

I cant believe they didn’t do a reskin of the Force of Nature as a Boomstick
hell yeah, glad i showed up to the party early
poker night 2 makes poker so much more fun than it usually is. it has me hookedd
I guess balatro probably sucked your soul out of your body then
@0:10 “what is this music”
@0:25 “wait a minute”
@0:45 “ *RAP SNITCHES, TELLIN ALL THEY BIDNESS* ”
thank you, so much, for the actual captions. its such a shame that much bigger youtubers with plenty of budget cant do the same
They made claptrap and glados non-canon because they knew they couldn't get in the way of one of the most toxic yuris of all time
1 Hour now
I’m sad that we’ll never get a poker night with a Left 4 Dead character like Nick or Bill.
Never knew Brock was based on Sid Vicious and it makes so much sense.
Apart from his eloquence and way with words. This isn't my joke but... "Sid treats words like a blender treats vegetables."

He had also voiced a character from the Call of Duty Zombies franchise. Specifically Samuel J. Stuhlinger. The one who had Richtofen’s voice in his head in Black Ops 2 and 4.
Wait, that's not William Kasten? He sounds exactly like him.
Phenomenal characters to bring together and have interact with each other. They’re all great.
My first game was very funny because in the first hand I had a strong suit of cards, and Ash and Brock kept raising to see who blinked first.
Both went all in with awful hands, and that's how I got my weirdest 60k to start with
I'd honestly love a spiritual successor to poker night but with characters from indie games. That would be a lot of fun.
Finally, you have no idea how much I've been waiting for this.
I absolutely love how you go into the history of the devs themselves.
Love that Omaha is such an unheard of variant to non-poker players that no one can understand the rules
The three x’s at 1:17:43 is meant to show the proof of the moonshine, not necessarily meant to be stylized for moxxie’s bar
As a Venture Bro's superfan, I hope we see the 2nd game given it's redux too
I think a poker night with some of the popular characters on the Internet could be cool just so they don't have to go for big, expensive, ips.
Maybe cain from digital cirus as a dealer could be fun
Or the host of toonami would be pretty cool.
Any one else got interesting ideas?
If I had to choose anyone for this series, it'd be Miss Pauling from TF2
You mean to tell me that Sal was Killer fucking Bean? Can't believe I had to find that out through a tertiary tidbit of knowledge in a different video game's fan documentary.
I JUST finished watching your last poker night episode and saw you uploaded it as soon as that video finished.
We need you back now, my poker ain’t a real night without you❤.
21:43 IS THAT FRIEZA
There's also a lost flash game, so like technically your wrong.
yeah I have heard this before! would be cool to find it again but probably a frivolous endeavour. didn't know it was called rough justice though.
Ash sounds like john mulaney lol
Extremely glad you talked about the soundtrack, I came for the conversations and stayed for the great music by Jared.
This video was excellent and I'm glad I'm watching it as early as I can! I love the Poker Night series, specially this game. Really hope some developers picks up the idea. This great piece might help to share some awareness, too!
HOLY SHIT!!!!!! The music during the AI analysis is Fifth Floor Goodbye from Gunpoint!!! I love that track!!!
it just fits so well - jazzy techno crosslink vibe. pretty much no other track fit quite as nicely in that section
WOOOOOOO GUNPOINT
I'm a massive fan of your previous video, glad to see your return!
I cant wait till poker night at the inventory relases! In the end, learning poker is good. Ill be happy for my decision one day.
so funny enough, I met Bruce Campbell at the rose city comicon in Portland... 2013 I wanna say it was? Asked him about Poker Night 2 (or just said I liked his inclusion in it, not knowing he didn't voice Ash in it) and he told me it wasn't him. Said he didn't get a big enough paycheck offer to take it.
Sal taking inspiration from Warburton's voice plays into the 'I heard that voice before' sketch all too well.
NO WAYY I JUST FOUND THE FIRST VIDEO LAST NIGHT WTF
I love portal so much, the whole universe is so nostalgic to me
Nostalgia is when you like something just because it's from the past, and not because you actually appreciate the story on its own merits. I'd encourage you to give Portal more credit, as it's a genuinely fantastic narrative.
@HOTD108_that’s not what nostalgia is. Why not double check the next time you’re correcting someone!!!
@HOTD108_Nostalgia and genuine appreciation are not mutually exclusive.
37:01 The Texan Chainsaw Massacre says hello
The soundtrack really is fantastic, I'm glad you devoted enough time to really appreciate it in the video. With regards to Ash I never understood the mountain of hate Danny Webber got, I thought he did a pretty solid impression of Bruce's voice and mannerisms, and almost sounds dead on when he's really confidently projecting himself.
Your video on the first game was great and I'm happy I was able to re-discover your channel with this one on the second game.
Honestly I i was always sad that we didnt get a TF2 rep this time around, but I see what they were going for with the 4 forms of media thing
