Fine hair looks better in braids, coarse or thick hair just looks messy after a few minutes. If it makes you feel better pretty much all these braids will unfurl in no time at all, there's nothing to hold them together.
Did the first braid in my daughter's hair because she's got the thickest, gorgeous hair! It took three broken hair bands to get the pony in but once we got her hair up, the twist braid looked so nice!!

No, it's the same technique as making rope: you need to twist the individual strands in a certain direction then twist them together in the opposite direction and it will hold nicely
@@blu_astra The technique for rope is with 3 strands not 2. I know how you keep a braid together but as soon as you let go of 2 pieces they unwind. I've tried it several times. Notice the video didn't show how to end it?
@@ukmedicfrcs I do this braid on myself on the daily it is really ad simple as twisting the single strands in the opposite direction in which you twist them together. You can use the same technique (it is called rope braid) for a three-strand braid if you want to exactly mimic a rope

Two strands can be called a braid it depends on the area that you are from I do a two strand side braid often. In the hair world a number of terms are used for the same thing. I agree this lady did a wonderful job. I think you were kinda a jerk for trying to correct her to make yourself look like you know what you are talking about.

The essence of a braid is three strands, two strands cannot be braided but they can be twisted. I think she did excellent job- and was in no way being disrespectful towards her, nice try. One of the largest problems with this culture is they cannot stand to have anyone tell them anything in advice, kind words, or gestures- but they wonder why mental health, suicide and loneliness is in the rise.
I've tried one on my daughter. It came out... just gorgeous! Well, she does have plennnnnnty of very long, thick hair 😍. Which is, for sure, essential for good result. On my second daughter, result wasn't the same... 🤪. Her hair is just too thin and not as plenty as her sister. Anyhow, I love your tutos. Thank you very much.
