    Videos like this are so important for so many people. Girls without mums to teach them, dads striving to be involved fathers to their girls, women with girls of their own who need their hair styled, men who have long hair who haven't been taught, people wanting to reinvent their look, people fighting to practice better self care, people who have had accidents/strokes and have forgotten certain motor tasks.
    Thank you for being so informative.

    You are a wonderful teacher. You not only show people how to do what you’re teaching them but you’re very good at breaking it down showing them exactly where their fingers need to be exactly where the hair needs to be and exactly where the majority of their hands need to be in order to understand how to make these braids work. I’ve had people show me and show me and show me and never understood how to do an infinity braid until watching you do this! It's the same exact way... nothing different! If you have to see what you're doing use two mirrors, one infront and one behind you.

    • @mydogeatspuke
      @mydogeatspuke 2 года назад +10

      @@Unfiltered_from_The_Bronx it's not exactly the same doing it on your own hair though, because you aren't facing the back of your own head. Even with mirrors to see what you're doing, you're not looking at the back of your own head, but a reflected reflection of it. Plus it's much harder to get clean sections on your own head, especially when reaching around the back instead of holding everything in front of your eyes.

      I used to be able to do a French braid on my own hair, but it took a lot of practice and fails before I could get it looking decent. I didn't have a way to use two mirrors, so I had to do it blindly. It about killed my arms every single time, too! Lol
      That was when I was a determined teenager. Now, I think it would still kill my arms, but I desperately want to try out the Dutch infinity braid. I'll just have to try it on my daughter's hair when she visits again. 😊

      Your videos are very clear. In fact, they're clear enough a blind person can get some idea ... litterally. I can see some of what you're doing, but your descriptions seem very helpful, though I've yet to put them to the test! I have very long, thick, somewhat wavy hair. You can do it if you install a second mirror, on an angle slightly above your main mirror so you can see. Many people are visual thinkers and can just visualise but the second mirror is worth it if you love doing your own hair. I cut my own short hairstyles for years, including using clippers on the back of my head, just with the use of a mirror on a bathroom cabinet and an articulated mirror.

    Love Your Work🎉
    I'm a native american woman who usually can not get anyone to braid my hair. ("White" women allege they don't work with "textured" hair; "Black" women allege that because I am not Black they "don't feel comfortable" braiding my hair 😅).
    So, I learned to braid my own hair (with basic techniques taught by my mom, of course 🩷). I've created a lot of techniques that are now uber popular in the Black community (like knotless braid extensions and the technique for extra long braid extensions ☺️ + a few other things).
    I love learning different cultures & your videos are A1 in teaching the various techniques I admire on women I've seen in public. Thank you 🍀🍀🩵💦
    (I'm sure you'll start seeing more "Black" women wearing these styles once I start wearing them. They don't like me or braiding my hair but will imitate any & everything I do 😅😹😩😹🩵☺️🐬💦🍀🍀🍀🍀🦉)

    That dutch infinity braid is everything! Actually i cant pic my fav all so beautiful. Id like to see how the front looks or how to start the braid so it looks just as pretty from the front. Great tutorial. I need a guinea pig to practice on. I don't think my sons hair is long enough lol.

    This video is so much easier than most. I had absolutely no idea how to do any hair styles until this came along and taught me how to do everything. My cat was blocking the screen most of the time yet I still managed to understand
