    The curiosity head tilt theory from Lamb can fit pretty well when you look at all her voice lines. Lamb is always inquisitive, curious, she wonders how and why things work and feel, while she's also so emotionless and serene. Seeing Trynd not only refuse but lash back out at "a peaceful death" could make her curious since "Why would one be angry at going in peace?"

      I think Tryndamere going for a swing at Lamb is not only unusual as Necrit puts it but extremely rare and possibly only something someone infused with blood magic does. Mby this means that Tryndamere can attempt to defeat death. This is also reinforced because after that attack Tryndameres eyes glow red with the blood magic.
      In that case he is curious as to why he was able to take a swing at a peaceful death. When you fight, you fight the wolf.
      When I say defeat death I mean that mby Tryndamere can't die from a peaceful death (the lamb) for some time or mby that Tryndamere can defeat his own peaceful death and will only be able to die from combat i.e the wolf. If that is the case however I don't think Tryndamere would be able to realize this and only defends himself instead. This also draw interesting comparisons to Olaf and his undying rage.

      It's wild to me that people aren't making the connection here. It's not that they're having some simple, humanistic response to a peaceful death or anything, it's that they're genuinely perplexed; they are trying to kill a human, of which they have aided countless times in finding their end, and they literally cannot kill him. It's not that he's resisting, lamb is used to just deferring the kill to wolf in that case, it's that they're incapable of killing him due to Aatrox's influence granting him semi-immortality. Neither the wolf nor the lamb can bring him to his end, which is perplexing to Kindred.

    "All my reasons cut like knives, keep replaying in my mind, all the times ive had to fight" Yasuo's regrets of all the mistakes he's made along the way and giving up on his purpose, which leads him to his end in this possible future scene.

    • @Argonist

      Well... Zaun and Piltover are both regions that haven't had their representations for kindred specified. It's possible they use Shurima's interpretation of Kindred (that being the gazelle and the hyena), but since there's no mention of a Piltover Kindred (and the fact that Piltover and Zaun are both regions lead by progress and innovation above all else), it's quite likely that the Kindred simply do not claim the souls from there (similar to Mordekaiser's case).
      After all, spirits in Runeterra need people to remember them to even exist, so it's pretty fair to assume that they can only act on people who know about their existence.

  • @gazelle_diamond9768
    @gazelle_diamond9768 8 месяцев назад +28

    I agree that Lamb's head tilt was most likely a sign of curiosity, however for a different reason.
    I don't think lamb was curious how it was possible that Tryndamere was still alive and able to fight them, literal death, off. After all, Kindred at the very least have met Tryndamere before. Furthermore, they KNOW practically everyone on Runeterra ("We know your name." "We have always known it."), so I'm sure they are fully aware of HOW Tryndamere is able to survive.
    I believe that Lamb's curiosity stems more from the "Why?" question. Remember, Lamb is able to understand emotions, but not feel them. So I think she is simply wondering what kind of emotion, what feeling could possibly drive a mortal to even defy death. What is it, that Tryndamere values so much about living that he simply refuses to die? And I don't think Lamb even means this in a mocking or demeaning way, but that she is genuinely curious about it, wanting to understand it.

  • @TheLaserlord

    • @Arti_The_Great

      @@comictitan4509 I think this makes a lot of sense. If you take how they operate, they most likely try to keep the death in reality by basically mimicking what is around the one dying. With that in mind it would seem that perhaps wolf got frustrated that Trynda wasnt dying and chose to force the death itself by physically interacting with Trynda instead of representing his enemies. If thats the case then it could also be the reason for Kindred tilting her head.

    The implications of him fighting Kindred are kind of cool. When death comes to someone Lamb fires an arrow to see if they are willing before letting wolf take over if they aren't, the two don't fight in tandem as we know in the lore. Meaning if someone rejects the arrow they are subject to the wolf's fury, they aren't given a way to end it peacefully. Each time lamb fired the arrow we can assume it was because one of the soldiers was supposed to deal a fatal blow to Tryndamere, giving him the option of a peaceful death over a violent one, each time Tryndamere rejected it. Tryndamere should've died three times. This theory probably has holes, but I can say that Kindred usually doesn't fight in tandem, but the case might've been unique because it's Tryndamere.

    I think the Lamb's head tilt is more like "Can he see me??"
    It happens after Trynd attacked her, and usually people can't fight back against death, and most likely they can't even see Kindred.
    Trynd having his undying power is the exception.
    Not only he can not die, but he can actually see Kindred and attack her (while in reality he is fighting the warriors around him).
    I think that while in his rage and has red eyes, he can see the death realm

      Oooh that would make sense within the context of the cinematic as well, since before the Trynd fight we only see Lamb’s arrow and hints of her silhouette. Maybe it’s usually only her arrows that can be “seen.” If Wolf mimics physical attacks with his strikes, him getting fended off wouldn’t be anything new for them, but someone actually going for Lamb directly would be surprising

    Watching the cinematic, I noticed something interesting, though the importance of it is debatable. So far, no one (at least to my knowledge) has mentioned the mark that appears on Tryndamere's sword when the snowflake touches his blade. You've already pointed out that he's an iceborn and his blade is made of eternal ice. However, the symbolism here might be even more intriguing, especially now that we know it's Ashes Hawkshot, who was shot into the air moments before. The snowflake forms a symbol very similar to the Avarosa symbol. This could already be a subtle hint that Ashe is on his way, or that Tryndamere is regaining strength because Ashe is sending him a sign.

    • @Blackn3t
      @Blackn3t 8 месяцев назад +8

      While that would be really cool and the ice shape indeed looks like some kind of a symbol (a 4-pointed star shape with 4 "tentacles")... it's nowhere near resembling the Avarosan symbol. The closest match I could find was the Demacian Illuminator Crest and even that one is a pretty big stretch (+ it makes no sense to appear there).

    • @glenngehrs7913
      @glenngehrs7913 8 месяцев назад +2

    Idk I think explanation of Trynda's situation is very obvious. He did died and Kindred came to collect his soul, as they're omnipresent and they appear automatically for those who are dying.
    If he would've just fought why would they come? They're already too busy for coming and watching how a random dude fights.
    At 3 minutes of the video we can see that he's lying, completely alone, he doesn't move or breathe. When he's getting up we already can see Lamb and the shadows envelope the space around. Assuming that this is how their ritual begins, they're awakening their prey outside of time and space and making them chose. He chose Wolf and fought him. While doing that he activated Undying Rage and his body started to heal, which made Kindred leave because there was no point for them to be here and he returned in real time and space where we can see other soldier lying and running at him.
    It would perfectly explain how his immortality works. He actually dies but every time fights Kindred outside of time, activates his immortality and regeneration and returns.
    His LoR ability makes it even more realistic, as he level ups after dying.

  • @talhaozer4469

    I think that head tilt of the lamb is because of a different reason. When kindred appears before somenone, that persons time is up(I'm not deeply connected to the lore so if there is any one else escaped the kindred itself repeatedly except the darkins and the cats please let me know). Meaning either the lamb will claim their life or the wolf. Their life will be claimed no matter what. But here we see a person who fights both wolfs claws and lambs arrows. Of course anybody who refuses the lamb would be in the same situation but Tryndamere also fights back. Yes as the necrit stated in his eyes he is fightin with the wolf but actually he is fighting with his enemies. After Tryndamere spins towards the lamb, the lamb dodges. Her bow is broken but after the dodge it reappears. And the wolf also disappears during the spin and after it reappears but the lamb dodges. So I think Tryndamere starts to understand what is Kindred(Since I believe this is not their first duel, they may have another stand off during Aatrox's invasion or maybe many more times.). And the lamb starts to realise he is special. Not like special but special special. Unlike darkins Tryndamere is mortal, so he can die. That's why they are fighting in the first place and thats why kindred didn't do anything in Aatrox vs Kayle + Morgana scene. She knows she can not claim the darkins so it's just there watching not interfeering. But in Tryndamere's case, Kindred knows he is mortal and can claim his life, but she also can't because of the blood magic(undying rage). So I believe Tryndamere's life can not be claimed in combat (not in a regular one at least). But as she is Kindred she always appears before him everytime to uphold her duty to claim his life but always she can not. And we know lamb is rather merciful, since she claims lifes without pain. So in the end that head tilt is rather both sign of sympathy and nervousness from kindred. Sympathy because the things Tryndamere endures everytime he refuses both lamb and the wolf. And nervousness because yet again she couldn't claim his life. Kindred always claims mortals life but not this one.

    What I also find interesting is the fact that Kindred "dodged" Tryndameres attack, the one that almost hits the neck. I don't know if "lore wise" Kindred can be slain or beaten (still kind of new to the lore), but the fact that they dodge his attack is fascinating. If they cannot be beaten or slain, or even injured then they would not even bother to dodge, after all what would be the point. If they can be slain, it brings about a whole new aspect, since Tryndamere in theory fights death all the time with his ultimate, he might be one of the few beings ever to come close to defeating/slaying death. Neat stuff. An easy explanation of course is its a riot cinematic and they wanted a fight, not a "im gonna stand here and let you slash at me until your arms give out and we can finally claim you"

    I'm not sure how I feel about the interpretation that old man Yasuo is for certain accepting death in his scene. Mostly because it feels like strange storytelling for the old ronin who thought he had walked away from the sword to take up a blade again to protect a village from bandits only to give up almost immediately with dozens of bandits still within bowshot of the village. I like to think the reason we see aspects of both the Wolf and Lamb looming over him is because he has yet to make his decision, after all, earlier in the scene he also closes his eyes before parrying an arrow at the last moment. And the labelling of the arrow that hits the screen as Hawkshot implies to me that that particular arrow, while symbolic in Yasuo's scene, is actually part of the scene it transitions us into.

Lamb may have realized in that encounter that, "wait, he doesnt see the embodiment of my offering for his death in the soldiers he fights... no.. does he see me?" *head tilt*
    And its in the way tryndamere fights, he isnt looking through them, he is looking at them. He is striking at them.

    I still maintain that Tryndamere merely managed to stay alive for long enough for Ashe to save his hide rather than him actually "fighting off" or "defeating" Kindred. Nobody in the lore is strictly speaking "immortal", even if someone like Mordekaiser or Kindred themselves comes very close. Tryndamere is a mortal. I wanna throw my 5 cents. I feel the purpose of this video is “surrendering to ‘death’”. Aatrox dropped the sword (and knowing he only wants to die o destroy everything), Yasuo didn’t pull the wind wall. So two cases of just accepting what has come to them. But then Tryndamere strikes like an oddball. In my opinion, Kindred head tilt might be a tip off on how Tryndamere is feeling. Maybe Tryndamere wants to embrace it and is tired or afraid of this Undying Rage curse. So when Kindred is facing him, she is curious what is going on since she probably feels he wants to let go. Hence why she keeps double checking with her shots. She is just confused cause maybe, since it is happening in Tryndamere’s head, she can feel his true desire.
    Anyway, thanks for the video

    12:00 Also, actually the moment when Tryndamere swings on Kindred and destroys her bow and amlmost scratches her. She may look surprised not because she was surprised that Tryndamere doesn't die, as we discussed. As she represents the peaceful death, she may be surprised that Tryndamere doesn't want to accept the peaceful death and wants to face a difficult one. Because it would not make sense for Tryndamere to attack Kindred in that moment as he was fighting the wolf and Kindred was standing and doing nothing. Tryndamere intentionally swings through the wolf and trying to reach Kindred, wolf was not even his target in that moment, so this way he is kind of rejecting a peaceful death.
    2) One more of the possible explanations also why Kindred is surprised in that moment is that. Logically, Kindred attacks only when person is ready to accept peaceful death. Wolf attacks when person resists to peaceful death. In this case, they are attacking both at the same time. This can represent that Tryndamere as a human would like to accept peaceful death, but because of the Undying Rage, he cannot do it and needs to fight. That is why she surprised, cause one moment his eyes are blue and he kind of looks like a human who would accept peaceful death, couple seconds later he is a red eye monster which swings like crazy trying to attack her.

      My guess would be surprise because its probably the first time she almost got touched... Just as u said he ignored wolf and went for the lamb, not only would that be unexpected but also new to them... As far as I remember in all the lore I've read of Kindred, they're always metaphorical and something else is what kills the victim in the real world, the victim only sees Kindred claiming them... that forest where those goons were killed by the fire, wolf's death, the old women with the heartattack, lamb's arrow... but someone attacking death itself, now thats new, and only possible as Trynd is alr supposed to be dead but Undying Rage keeps him alive

    I don't know if it's been brought up yet, but I have a new theory. In your past video you claimed that the fight and interactions with Kindred are only in the mind of the person engaging with them. That would be a rather obvious answer since random Kindred arrow marks on dead people or Wolf bite/claw marks would be odd if they showed up on every person who ever died or every Noxian. However, there is a different detail with Tryndamere. I believe that if the engagement between Kindred and the one who is about to die does not "go well", that the result is different. In the cinematic, Wolf bites/claws Tryndamere's shoulder-guard, leaving a very obvious mark. There is no weapon among the warriors he's fighting that could inflict that, nor the body of a wolf/dog can be seen nearby when the camera pans out. In fact, the appearance of that mark is so odd that even Ashe looks it rather puzzled and even glances around their surroundings, as if looking for the source of it, but cannot find it. I feel that when someone's abilities or "destiny" directly conflict with Kindred's purpose as "Death", that some of their interaction begins to bleed into the physical world. It's these incredibly rare and minor details that would actually give some amount of life to their legend and lore rather than being an entity that is never seen, never heard, and no proof of them exists.

    As I see it Yasuo did not give up nor did he accept; They made the scene, to close his eyes the same way, as he casted the wind wall the first time on purpose, so it would be up for interpretation. (That's why we did not se him die.) Both Lamb and Wolf are represented here because of the possibilities for both outcome.
    And rejection would fit with the message more "Still here" I think.
    Or at least the rejection of the vision. Hence why we don't see him decide.

    Okay but Yasuo just used his empowered Q on the bossman, if the cinematics are showing off abilities why couldn't he just ULT the guy and dodge the arrows lol

    Steps to appreciating the Still Here cinematic:
    Step 1: Watch the Still Here cinematic
    Step 2: Repeat Step 1 several more times for good measure
    Step 3: Watch reaction videos
    Step 4: Watch Necrit analysis videos
    Step 5: Just keep repeating Step 1-

    There is foreshadowing that Kindred (the lamb) will be the one to finally get Tryndamere in the end. As the cinematic ends with Tryndamere once more choosing to resist, overpowering the wolf and not giving up, yet Kindred doesn't leave, the lamb only transforms, as Ashe, Tryndamere's love and wife literally steps into the spot of Kindred. This could be a cinematic way to foreshadow how Ashe will be his lamb, and he will choose to die one day, at peace, maybe with her or for her. When all battles are won and there is no more need to fight with undying rage!

    One point I haven't seen anyone mention so far is that the bandits that started attacking Yasuo in the beginning recognized him immediately as soon as they saw his scar. Before Yasuo tilts his head up and shows the scar, the bandits are seen joking around and doesn't take this old man that just walked out seriously. But as soon as Yasuo tilts his head and shows the scar (and no more!) the bandits immediately tense up and attack.
    There is no reason for them to go into action that fast and that seriously unless they saw something right then, and the only thing that was revealed from the head tilt was Yasuo's scar. Remember, they didn't walk up to Yasuo like he was an old man, threatening him or "toying" with him as they seemingly joke about at first. They rush him without coordinating and try to kill him before Yasuo gets to attack them back. This fails of course, because he is who they fear he is.
    And if this animation is Yasuo returning to his ways after leaving it behind for a long time, then the bandits have no way of knowing who he is based on previous experience - they can't have met him before. They are too young to have seen or faced him before, as Yasuo realistically shouldn't have been fighting for many years.
    What's cool with this is that means that stories of Yasuo must be passed down in the populace, specifically mentioning his scar as an identifying feature and that he is a force to be reckoned with.

    I also think that kindred was puzzled as trynd actually lashing out at her is not a normal thing. It implies that somehow tynd can actually perceive her as a real entity and that's strange. Same with wolf actually having to jump in the way of tynd, people would normally fight wolf not attack lamb.

    Also to continue with what you were saying, Aatrox who would want death has the image of Lamb in the fire not the wolf.

    Am I the only one noticing that each time Trynda attacks, it counts up to 4 hits/kills on the guys in the background and Ashe come in and kill 2, which is a result of the 6 enemies on the ground at the end.
    Trynda hit 6-7 times overall, but some of them were parries, 4 of them were attacks. kinda fun detail that the wolf and kindred he attacked, was a killing blow to the raiders.

    There was a theory that trynda never really wanted to oppose death, which is why lamb shot at him, but then his blood magic worked up and refused death and so wolf came at him, then he was back to consciouscness and accepted death so lamb shot at him, then his blodo magic...

  • @sunchamp
    @sunchamp 8 месяцев назад +1

    You are kind of contradicting yourself! My interpretation of the tilt is also that Kindred was curious because I think this is their first meeting! But you said earlier that they have met before so that would mean that they are familiar with Tryndamere therefore in this case the tilt would be about something else.

    I think the cinematic's Morgana and Kayle part is from Canticle Of The Winged Sisters story - VII (The Battle of Zeffira) and VIII (What Cannot be Undone) because as of my understanding there is a time jump after VIII, so they don't split instantly after that. And they line up quite well (Before that it only talks about them existing, so this can be an old story, just as the cinematic and after that talks about them sort of working together then splitting up)

    Another interesting take is that towards the end of Tryndamere's fight with Kindred, prior to Ashe's volley, you can see that he was eventually going to submit to Lamb as his reaper.
    It just so happened that Death (Lamb) was a split second away from winning. You can see this when Ashe's volleys were shot (which couldve been Lamb's), and Tryndamere did not flinch to defend himself (an act of accepting his death). Crazy stuff Rito.

    I also think that Lamb put down her bow, while casting the last arrow, is on purpose aswell. Tryn is still fighting those soliders while seeing kindred, and at the moment ashe casts her volley, the lamb cancles her shot, cause she knows that ashes arrows will kill the last source through which Tryn could actually die in that moment.

    One thing to note, in the Spirit Blossom video when Yone and Yasuo met again defeating the demon. Yasuo told Yone to have his revenge for killing him. Yone instead replied, "You may deserve death. But not by my hand." This also might be a hint that Yone knows that Kindred is the one that is going to claim his death. Just an interesting hunch.

    • @keku52

      No, Kindred always gets the kills regardless of who does it. What Yone wanted was for Yasuo to literally die on his own.
