Excellent video presentation of a fine boat. I enjoy the way your knowledge of boating comes to the fore as you test the boat on the water. I feel as I’m on the boat as well!

I’m waiting for my SR41 in December here in Southern California. I believe on the same delivery, this SR36 is showing up too. The difference is about 100K, both well appointed. The only disappointment I have is that the navigation instruments are quite anemic. I’m spending another 14K to get radar, two 10” touch screen plotters and a few more bits. The wife and I fell in love with this boat immediately. Problem is good luck getting one. We were luck to have shown up with money in hand when ours just fell out of sale due to the person before us having problems with financing. We can’t wait!!!

Thorough, thoughtful review. And I especially appreciated the references, during the sea trial, of fuel burn vs. cruising and top speeds. I've watched several of Alex's reviews now and very much enjoy them. (Also...I try not to miss the dry humor he occasionally slides into his commentary).

I like how you check out all areas, weather its the helm seat, the steering wheel, the pros and cons. You take your time with thoughtful comments. She a nice boat probably a good first boat for someone or a family having a day out at sea..

Thanks for all the input. It's been a manic few months since I joined the MBY crew as Jack's replacement but I'll be getting myself on here and responding to you guys much more frequently from now on. Keep the comments coming and I'll do what I can to tailor future videos in line with your needs.

Enjoyable and superbly thorough tour and test, thanks 👍
Great looking boat and really like the stainless rear stanchions instead of GRP.
Space down below seems small for a 40’er especially without patio does upstairs. Small compromise!

Nice family boat with the spacious interia as well as exteria. Thoug for us the side door exit in the cockpit for me would be a great benefit/feature to help my wife during the breathing / docking since children can not help (to young). Thank you for video. Best Regards

Southampton water on slack water of course its not going have much motion . Should've run it out around the needles and down to St Catherine's point and back.

Noddy might not have designed the outside but I suspect he made a good effort at the inside. I would not like to be the navigator.

I believe that anything over 40' is getting too heavy to easily be up on plane. You can do it. Look at a Pershing 90, they get up on plane but it's just an insult to physics. This boat skips over the waves and seems at peace with physics.

Why do we have to wait until 27 minutes into the video to know that the boat has two sleeping cabins? Why not spend the first five minutes on the boat's highlights before you start opening up all the little lockers that no one cares about, unless they're already interested in the boat.

Personally, I won't miss Jack. He always sounded irritated and so breathless I thought he was about to collapse! Now Alex is holding his own (camera) he's a much better presenter. The only issue is the disjointed edit - outside... inside... outside... inside...outside.

I don't like this boat at all ! Poor layout, side slide windows are ugly, so are the exposed hinges when the table is open. 💩🤮
