I have thought the same thing for almost a year and none of the bigger RUclips channels will really talk about it! That's why you find all of Link's old gear and the depths, it's old Hyrule which was buried after millions of years
This is just my theory but what if BOTW and TOTK sit at the end of the adult timeline, and a new hyrule formed over the great sea, and over time the flooded hyrule drained and formed the depths. Eventually the residents of the spirit Track's new Hyrule migrate back to old Hyrule, and this explains how the founding contradicts skyward swords
That is an interesting way to explain how the new Hyrule could have been formed. I still feel like BOTW is a fixed point in the timeline that all 3 timelines merge, there are elements of each timeline seen in this Hyrule.

It's surprising no one else has talked about that. Especially because it does make the most sense, at least in my opinion.
