I created a Studio One template for beat making, recording and mixing all in the same session. All the routing is already done. In Studio One, I can hide what I don’t want to see, so it’s treated like a beat making only session. If later on I decide I may want to record vocals, I unhide the necessary tracks. This has been useful for me because I when I have artists come to the studio and I play the beat, they are ready to work immediately. This has been a blessing for me.
I'm doing everything in one session even if my cpu hates me for it 😂 FL users can create multiple arrangements in one session. Avoids loading sessions back and forth if changes are needed in that 2 track.

Love to get y’all opinion on this, Apple M3 Max chip 14‑core CPU, 30‑core GPU, 36gb ram, 1Tb storage $3100 OR Apple M1 Max chip 10coreCpu/32 coreGpu, 64Gb Ram, 2Tb storage $2700 Coming from 2020 apple intel Air (Daw: Logic)
Tho I haven’t upgraded mine yet. But go M3. Its faster and logic updates gonna be on latest MacOS. I’m sure not any soon you’ll get newer one so better go for top tier. Don’t worry about storage later if you need storage just get Hard drive it’ll be much cheaper.
Appreciate yah opinion! Yeah I’m kinda leaning towards the m3 for that reason as well. It’s really the ram that I’m worried about cause If I’m gonna pay all that money I rather it be future proof and I’m not sure if 36gb is enough
I think the ram is a bigger deal. I dont think the 15% uplift of the CPU from the M2 to the M3 would net you as much gains as the difference between the 332 and 64gb ram especally when it comes to how many track and plugins you have going on in a project at once. Why not even split the difference and go with the M2 with 64gb ram and 1tb of storage. Also its not like using an external storage device these days really slows anything down.
Just saying! I’m surprised that Dev did not bring up you can highlight a clip and duplicate it really easy with Cmd-D. Also if you wanted you can also duplicate the clip backwards with Cmd-Opt-D, if you accidentally started later in the song you can just do it backwards from where you highlighted the clip. (Which I’m pretty other daws don’t have). Oh yeah I forgot to mention you can also use Cmd-R to bring up a dialogue box which you can tell protocols how many times you want it to repeat, from the highlighted clip. If yaLl didn’t noticed I’m pro tools gang till I die. I kinda cheat on pro tools with the Mpc though to make beats.

lvove how you shouted mixbus tv Dev!!!
That's a different way to group Cortney.. I like that actually.. Ya'll jokas funny.. Im still waiting for ya'll to compare the Daws to the consoles.. I say Logic is Neve.. Boom..
Done seen Atlanta make millions of two tracks. The hustle always wins over anything.
The God particle has a weird sound on my mixes that I’m not really a fan of. My friends think I’m buggin but I agree
they gang my boiii devin
With all due respect, as GREAT as this conversation is... eff all that... Whats in Courtney's cup? #CupCheck for the Ableton Annihilator!!! 😂😂😂😂
LMFAO
That brook shirt 🔥45°Gang #PTGang
I wanna see the speed match vs between you three. I NEED TO SEE THAT!!! 😂😂😂
Wow....I don't like the clutter either. I record in a different session.
Hahahahahah. 😂 Courtney Know us well. I’m recently working on some of songs And in those each project the Number Vocal Recoding takes Crossed 200. Hella funny he know that.🤣
Oh and another thing is I’m surprised you don’t know that even Charlie puth use Virtual Tape Machine from Slate.
The way he says he arranges his tracks is what they taught us at full sail no 🧢
Gullfoss is the sauce. That’s crazzyyy
What if Fl Studio made Soundgoodizer an outboard gear
why would you have that, thats the good with soundgoodizer cause its the digital sound, its not an analog emulation?
Thank to the new Ozone update it’s cool now
You guys need a logic user now too
What about rewire with Ableton and fl is they had that feature in logic it would be a rap. My life would be made a lot easier because I hate exporting stems.
I had that same god particle problem the other day haha I had to put it to 35
What happened to the contest. Who won ?
the 12 minute intro delay goes crazy lmaoooo
35:06 Courtney sounded real sassy lol
Logic user here, i just got done mixing a 158 channel mix in Logic every other engineer i spoke to that uses logic didnt seem shocked at all, haha Courtney is so correct! 😂😂🤣🤣
Ohh u go above!!
Use whatever you have at your disposal, underground artists don't always have the luxury of being picky. 2 Track it, til someone backs it... P.S. Some major artists prefer 2 tracks ex. Meek Mill & I'm a big fan of how high quality his mixes sound.
Metro Boomin says he doesn’t send out stems cuz he doesn’t want anyone changing the sound of his beats. You can’t tell by listening though 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah I agree w dude who use FL. I use FL too I dint like making a beat and then recording under it. I always do 2 tracks. But that's how I came up jus puttin pauses in the beat, Lo pass etc. Yeah. I'd take it to an engineer if it's gonna go further than that.
And the copy and pasting hooks man ion have time to move all that track out beat w the vocals he'll nah I feel like I'll leave a track behind or somn 😅
I mean otherwise youre going to sit there and mess with all effects lanes and possibly throw timing off i you have to edit anything in the moment?
Get this man in front of smack /URL dev 😂 , quick note I fw the podcast but whyyyy did yall stop showing ya laptops or screens that shit was DIFFERENT when y’all was explaining shit 🤯
Always love the HMD content! The thanks for the tips and conversation. @offkiprod
Love to get y’all opinion on this,
Apple M3 Max chip 14‑core CPU, 30‑core GPU, 36gb ram, 1Tb storage $3100
OR
Apple M1 Max chip 10coreCpu/32 coreGpu, 64Gb Ram, 2Tb storage
$2700
Coming from 2020 apple intel Air
(Daw: Logic)
The he just glossed over “I be sharing.” Lmao
I mix kinda like Devon I make it easy to mix !!!!
Not gone lie as a PT user and educator I too don’t understand why we want sidechain in stereo.
Don’t need it, but I don’t understand why we can’t.
Why the audio off?
😂 me too
He said oooooooooooooooh!!! Maaaaaaan don’t nobody care care dat FL Studio can do that. Nah this is facts FL Studio just recently successfully started and able to record audio meaning vocals. Humble yall selves pleeeaaassse! 🤷🏻♂️
Introducing the pod gets later every video, soon we'll be getting the intro in the next episode
*13 minutes late* before the intro finally came in lmfao 😆😆😆😆😆

Yo is it me or i never really heard music from Kortney. I gotta see what he about. Yall should all just make a track together on video. That would be mind blowing. Like use all daws to make a record
