Hi there, I have made a video on voluntary company deregistration, I hope it answers your question. ruclips.net/video/xOC9rk8Qr6k/видео.htmlsi=5LRtzh8vQFHLJm7f
Thank you. This channel is helpful is the best, I always come here for anything regarding CICP. My question is, can I register my NGO using a company? Thanks. I will also visit your website as I need your service to register my NGO.
Hi RSA TV, No you can't use your Pty as a NGO, the reason for this is that Pty's are companies for profit while NGO are for welfare or community based upliftment projects. Pty's will also never get Tax Exemption Status from SARS. I hope this answers your question.
Wonderful content which has no ambiguity. Please, could you advise how I can go about getting the letter from CIPC as my company has been deregistered ( I have filed a nil return as there was no proof I could send onto them. Thank you!
Hi there, CIPC will deregister your company if the annual returns have not been submitted to them. Should you want more information, I have made a video on this topic ruclips.net/video/CLbCJ3NDRww/видео.htmlsi=-MzQHgUF9Nzu0vnA If you company is in final deregistration then you will need to restore it. If you would like assistance with restorations please use the following link. www.swiftreg.co.za/swiftreg/products/company-restoration.aspx If your company is still in the deregistration process you can submit your returns but there will be penalties. If you would like assit ance with this process please use the following link www.swiftreg.co.za/swiftreg/products/annual-return.aspx I hope this helps you.
@@swiftreg thank you for the detailed response. I'm however still left with the answer of HOW to procure the letter from CIPC. As mentioned earlier, the company HAS been deregistered with no desire to have it restored. Without the Letter from CIPC confirming this, I will have to continually submit a nil return to SARS. How do I contact CIPC to get this confirmation letter of deregistration (Is there a dedicated email address/ department dealing with this). Thank you, I hope I've given clear details.
Okay, I understand your question. CIPC should have emailed you a final deregistration notice. If that did not happen then you can lodge a ticket on their e-service platform. They should also published it in the government gazette, but I am not sure how to retrieve that that publication.
@@swiftreg many thanks! I will try and log into their Ex-service portal. This is quite a vital step to enable one to have finality. I'm most appreciative of your response and hopefully will be able to lodge the request 😊
Hi Tebqzik It is confusing as the two entities are almost identical. CIPC are registered with CIPC (usually takes 1 week) and governed by the companies Act while the NPOs are registered with the Department of Social Development which is free but takes more than two months. You also have to write your own constitution. We prefer the NPC as is has more credibility with donors.
Thank you for the information - I enjoy your content!
Our pleasure!
Thank you for the Information 🥰🥰
You’re welcome 😊
This was so valuable. Thank you so much
You're so welcome!
Thank you this is useful. But please help how to go about deregistering the NPC that has never operated.

Thank you for watching the video, I appreciate your comment
Thank you for sharing this. If I may, how does one go about registering for an NPO tax number?
I would recommend you contact SARS directly, sorry I could not be of more assistance.

Thanks , But i Want Too Know whats the Difference between NPC and NPO

Is it possible to register both NPC and NPO using the same name with the same members?
Hi there, Yes it is possible, but what is the point of that unless you intend to mislead.
