Hi, do you know if the speed trend vector is purely inertial ie coming from the adiru or does it have a baro input as well?. Thinking about whether it would be affected by unreliable airspeed.

What’s the difference between AOA & alpha floor?
Is the protection available from liftoff till landing even if A/T inop?

Angle-of-Attack is an attitude by the aircraft's airfoil compared to the incoming airflow. When this angle is possible the aircraft is generating lift. But if exceeding a specific value (critical AoA) the laminar/smooth airflow over the airfoil, generating the low pressure/lift, will start to get spoiled. This will lead to to loss of lift and make an aircraft drop. We call this Stalling.
AlphaFloor is a protection for low speed. To prevent stalling at low speed/high AoA the AlphaFloor uses the Auto Thrust to put and hold TO/GA power on the engines. Alpha Floor is available in Normal Law with or without the Auto Thrust being ON. The AlphaFloor protection is available from lift-off to 100RA during approach. AlphaFloor is not available during TCAS events, Engine-out conditions or when slats/flaps are extended.

what a good and clear explaination 😊
