Ted made a pretty abd decision and admits it when he was 18-20yrs old. He dodged the draft. He is like 60 now and does more for Vets than most idiots who bash him online about dodging the draft. A good guy and a cool musician.
Your video inspired me to crank up my CRATE and plug 'n' my LesPaul, then my Fender! I see you haven't been on in awhile, need your thoughts on the recent bill that passed through congress regaurding the government being able to hold americans without charge, indefinately, without trial.
Ted, please accept my appology for declining to hunt with you in 1990... I know it's old history, but considering I allowed the small differences we have to over shadow the large majority we have in common is something I now regret... I thank you for speaking out for the values that made America the great country it is... Respectfully Yours, Pappy...
finding a job isnt so easy, its hard to find someone hiring considering every business is cutting down. welcome to middle america bro, this country is hurting. i heard an add for food stamps on the radio the other day, which means someone thinks we r doing so bad that we should use tax payers money to advertise food stamps on the radio
I agree with ted on most things. But I believe he is wrong to an extent about Americans wgo don't want to work. I have worked since I was 14 years old. The problem with the job market is greed. The big corporations sent their manufacturing jobs across the borders for their bottom line. The auto industry was collapsed due to the greed of the workers striking for 30+ years wanting more. Driving the price of an automobile to the point that the average working class person can't afford to buy a new vehicle. Yet when it came down to the time for the trickle down. They kinked the hose. The rest of the people earned just enough to pay their house payment and heating costs. Greed and lazy scamming workers taking all they could and then some. An example is a guy who owned a local bar where I lived was heard bragging about being on the clock at his gm job while hanging out at his bar. His buddies and him would take turns skipping work while the others would punch them in and out for the day. GREED.
There were plenty of good reasons for not going to Vietnam, that's right, but you really shouldn't be all like "Ohh i really wanted to be in Vietnam and fight for my country" when you were a draft evader. And please explain why it was a war for profit, i didn't know that. I thought it was about helping the Vietnamese in the south against a communist invasion from the North.
Shaking my head...really¿¡ After listening to his comments on msnbc concerning the President and women in position. Do every Texan think as he does? Surely Not! What about you women in the Republican Party? :-/
He's kinda of a hypocrit. He says he missed out on Vietnam. He evaded the draft. He could have gone to Vietnam, but the ohh so big patriot Uncle Ted was too scared of going there. And now he tries to save it by saying "Ohh yeah man, i would have died for Murica in Vietnam if I could, because im such a patriot". A splendid rock musician, but a goddamn hypocrit.
THEODORE Belongs in the rock n roll hall of fame!
