Was watching this video, and yes, I had the same problem, but I came across the samsung Flow download app for Tab A9+ and PC. You are not able to use dex while in flow mode. I use flow so I can use my tablet as a iriun webcam, I've both screens and my obs open on my PC while I'm recording my videos, absolutely brilliant. Hope this helps.😊

With samsung tablet s6 lite it doesn't work. Tried with usb-c compatible monitor. Also tried a usb-c to hdmi (a similar one as seen on your video)

You actually have to research your tablets before you get them.
Turns out the Samsung Tab versions before S7 and the ones that are Lite, FE or even the Tab A series cannot use HDMI because of their incompatible USB-C ports. So make sure that if you get a Samsung tablet, you have researched if it'll work with HDMI. Or else you'll have to compromise with Wi-Fi-based connections via apps like SuperDisplay.
It's what put me off from buying the Tab S6 Lite and the FE versions - *none* of them support HDMI except for the original and the Plus/Ultra versions. In fact, I haven't been able to get myself any of the tabs at all :')
Im using a galaxt tab s5e but it can only mirror tablet view. When I use dex while on hdmi, it would show dex on hdmi but tablet view on tabler screen. The only way to control the dex on hdmi is by making my tablet screen the mouse of the dex on hdmi. I want whats on the video where I can open dex on my tablet and mirror it to hdmi while retaining dex on the tablet screen. How do I do that?

will this work on a samsung tab A7 lite? I tried on a hube but will nort show tablt screen on my monitor thru HDMI? I am going to try another hub.
I think it's only S series Samsung's. Doesn't work on my tab a8.
I did this for my son. Is Samsung phone is his laptop / desktop for everything he does, even in school.
It does not work with Samsung Tab A model SM-T510 as it is not compatible with dex.

The tablet screen should be kept ON always ? Or we can turn it off and work on the bigger monitor ?
You can configure to use only monitor, and switch off the tablet screen

Will this work with a Lenovo M10 tablet?
I haven't tested connecting a Lenovo tablet to a monitor, but if you try let me know how you go. Your Lenovo won't have Dex because that's only on Samsung devices. But you might be able to mirror your tablet to your monitor and then setup a keyboard and mouse..

This only works for some samsung tablets and/or monitors. Not a real solution.
Haa anyone gotten this to work with a tab A
Hey, the USB-C on the Tab A series doesn't support HDMI. Neither does the FE and Lite versions of the S series tablets. I have an A8 and it doesn't work either. You would have to get either the S7 or a later model.
If you really want a second screen with your tablet, you can check out SuperDisplay or apps just like that. Though the lag may be quite bad.

i tried 3 different adapters...and not of them worked...damn disappointing. i count never ever get the monitor to connect

@@SamCambetis I finally got it working.. iH had to order a new HDMI from the Samsung website.
