I’ve fostered hundreds of kittens of all ages and this video provides very good, very accurate information. Having mom is best, but if not, the first couple of weeks are very busy with feedings every 2-3 hours. Once they ween, they are so much fun. As difficult as it was to see them adopted, each one made for a wonderful experience. I encourage anyone who has the time and funds to foster kittens.
Oh, fostering for me is very dangerous!!! lol. There's no way I can give them up after all those weeks of bonding!! Tried it a couple of times and ended up adopting them myself!! I will always have great respect for those who are able to do this!😻
I had 6 kittens in 2018.It was the best time of my life. 4 of them still live with their parents in my home. Father cat was extremely nice with them. Very patient and affectionate. When they were a little bit bigger and were running around, he just laid in the middle of the room and when they jumped over him, he just grabbed them with both paws and pressed them to his chest.
When my babies go to new homes, they take with them.... Their toys, bowl, plate, and some kitty food both wet and dry. And some things that smell like home. And knowing that they have been well loved from their hooman mumma. You get so much joy, helping these little furry and purry bundles of joy.
Cuteness overload with a side of great information! I couldn't foster kittens because I'd get to attached and I couldn't handle giving them up for adoption!
I won't be able to foster a litter of kittens, because of my lifestyle. However, my cat Tiger-J was adopted by me when he was a little kitten 🐈. Very informative video.
I can't. I'm a bleeding heart for all cats. My sister talked me into taking in a 9 wk old kitten when her owner picked another kitten. She's my very 1st kitten. Then after a month the same owner gave us the other kitten. They're bother girls now 2 years old. Then we found an abandoned kitten just born. Nursed it and was planning on giving him to a shelter but he was too cute to give up. So now I have Ghost(2), Pepper Jack(2) & Moomoo(1)🥰 respectively.
Yep, 100% agree!! I tried it twice, ended up keeping all 5 of them!! Once we bond with each other, it's a done deal!! I admire anyone that's able to foster, but it will never be me!!😸
Insightful ! Bro for some weeks now my cat is meowing sitting near the main door 5-6 times daily for a couple of minutes, he has suddenly changed his behavior after his fight with an outsider cat 2 months back which resulted in some little scratches to both the cats and on my father's hands when he tried to stop both of them from fighting & the same thing happened with me today 😅 when i opened the door after he was screaming continuously not knowing that he smelled the cat who was outside the same one with whom he had fought the previous time fortunately today the outsider cat ran away quickly..so i have made up my mind not to open the door here onwards ! Could you share some wisdom on what is happening & why is it happening ? Also what steps should i take to prevent any such mishaps taking place in near future ?? as i don't want anybody to get hurt or injured from such accidental fights.
@antjejaeger7844 no a mother cat can't produce milk after she's been neutered because she needs hormones to produce milk and kittens can't cause her to produce since being neutered
No I don't. I'm on my second formerly feral kitty. Clip eared trap spay release. 5 years now. She found home. 6 months before petting. She now wants to be by me all the time.
You know how you have to get up in the middle of the night to feed kittens well you do as well if you have a cat that just got spayed you need to wake up in the middle of the night to feed and let them have water too 😌
So, do you think you have what it takes to foster kittens? 😻

You are a strong person for being able to foster kittens. Thank you from the heart ❤️❤️❤️

LOL, "she thinks she's the queen of the household"? She IS the queen of your household! ;-) Thanks for a great video. I look forward to fostering!

And if they seem a little distressed, new kitty parents are welcome to call me and I'll talk to the kitty's.
Yes all my babies know what a phone is.

❤❤❤ No way i can ever foster any kittens! They become mine for the rest of their lives.
I can fully understand.

Unfortunately, I could never foster kittens. I could never let them leave. ❤❤
I love cats
Kitty are cute
I am a foster fail. Can't do it. I admire people who do foster. My fail gave me Marmie and her daughters.
Fostering isn't for everyone, and that's okay! ❤
Same here!!! Tried it twice, ended up keeping all 5 of them!! lol😸
We fostered a litter of kittens once. We failed dismally as we kept one of them. 😀
why do you violate unwritten the 45 second rule of youtube?
I have a question: can a neutered cat, that once has given birth and was a very good mother, still produce milk, when foster kittens are around?
@antjejaeger7844 no a mother cat can't produce milk after she's been neutered because she needs hormones to produce milk and kittens can't cause her to produce since being neutered

I told my vet that my cat had fleas. He said "That's impossible". I said "Why?". He said "Cats have kittens. Fleas have fleas".

I have enough problems taking my friend's three back home, after i cat sit for her...fostering...nahhhhh... 🐈 🐈 🐈
I would become too attached if I were to foster any animal. 🥺
I wouldn't be able to give them back. I'd end up with hundreds of kitties!!!!!!
I would end up with a house full of kittens cause I can't give them up.
How can people who have full-time jobs even foster kittens??
