I’ve also done that! My very first foster kittens I got them at 1.5 weeks, bottle fed them, raised them, and named them (there’s where the problem started. NEVER let me name things) I ended up keeping both Harry Purrter and Ron Whiskers. I love them both so much
I just did that too! Found a kitten on the side of a busy road, he is getting huge yet is still a kitten playing all over the house! I named him Two-Tone

I live in North Carolina too and I have rescued seven kittens that live in my apartment complex. I’m fostering four little ones right now and they’re almost ready for a home. I love seeing others rescuing cats/kittens it makes me know that there are still nice, caring people in this world!💗

For everyone in the comments saying "I want to foster when I grow up" as long as you're responsible, you know how and you have the time you can convince a parent to sign up to foster at a shelter, they'll provide the resources. I have three feral kittens that I have been fostering for a couple of weeks now. I'm only fourteen so my mom has to do all the technical parts, but we usually don't have trouble finding homes for the fosters we get. My mom has a lot of friends online that love cats so they're always adopted out pretty fast. With this littler we're hoping to give one to my cousin and the other two to my grandma, they've both been looking for kittens to adopt for a few years now and they're the perfect fit. We usually get our foster kittens from one of my mom's friends who works with a lot of feral cats in out area. She traps and spays the mama cats and we socialize the babies. It works out perfectly. Our last two foster kittens were adopted together and they're very happy.
Yeah stray cat just showed up with three kittens this morning. She was an outside cat, wanted her to survive Winter, I'm homeless myself, now I have to figure out how to get her an 3 kittens, a temporary home, then adopted, they have just opened their eyes. An now I'm stressing out.

I just became a foster home for my local humane society because I found a pregnant cat outside but I didn't want to keep the kittens it was so easy and they provide everything for me but this channel was a huge help and gave me a lot of confidence in the first few weeks I absolutely love this channel and tell everyone about it

Hi, I've raised a cat named Samwise Gamgee with the help of your videos. We found him abandonded with 2 weeks in a house my parents were going to sell. He was under a pile of wood in a room where the floor was going to collapse. We boddle fed him and now he lives with my two other cats Jinx and River. SO glad you posted this. The stray at my work had a litter of 5. Once they got older, 3 were adopted within a few days; I began fostering the other 2. My little boy got adopted tonight but I am still searching for a forever home for my little girl. Been using word of mouth for the past week. Thanks for the great ideas.

Omg I would love to adopt peppermint! Though I don't foster, I really appreciate this video!! I find it really hard to look at kitties online and get a better sense of who they are because the descriptions don't talk about their traits! I've also asked some foster parents more about certain cats but they just say that all the kittens are good and affectionate, which isn't enough to understand who the kitten is. Thank you!

The kitten we just rescued is 6 weeks old according to our vet but she's about half the size of your 6 week old. I think he was looking at her teeth which I think started falling out early either from malnutrition or an injury from a wild animal she she also has a wound in her mouth. We've had our baby girl for two weeks now and she's growing and learning thanks to the help from your videos. I'm not sure if we'll be putting her up for adoption or not. The apartments in our area won't let us have more than one cat and we already have another. We're just falling in love with her and I don't want to give her up.
I’m really looking forward to that future video you mentioned about vetting adopters! I’ve always wanted to open a cat sanctuary (or a cat cafe) that caters to senior cats, but your work with neonatal kittens has inspired me-perhaps I would cater to the very old and the very young 😉 (basically I want to take on the populations that would have the most trouble getting out of shelters alive-if neonates are most likely to be killed, and seniors are least likely to be adopted, it makes sense!)

The Scragglemuffin tears at my heart, so adorable. Sadly, I am a one-and-only-one cat momma of a cat who does not play well with others and refuses to share his person's love with any other cat. I'll bet you get hundreds if not thousand of inquiries about this cute little girl.

The kitten we just rescued is 6 weeks old according to our vet but she's about half the size of your 6 week old. I think he was looking at her teeth which I think started falling out early either from malnutrition or an injury from a wild animal she she also has a wound in her mouth. We've had our baby girl for two weeks now and she's growing and learning thanks to the help from your videos. I'm not sure if we'll be putting her up for adoption or not. The apartments in our area won't let us have more than one cat and we already have another. We're just falling in love with her and I don't want to give her up.

I’m really looking forward to that future video you mentioned about vetting adopters! I’ve always wanted to open a cat sanctuary (or a cat cafe) that caters to senior cats, but your work with neonatal kittens has inspired me-perhaps I would cater to the very old and the very young 😉 (basically I want to take on the populations that would have the most trouble getting out of shelters alive-if neonates are most likely to be killed, and seniors are least likely to be adopted, it makes sense!)

The Scragglemuffin tears at my heart, so adorable. Sadly, I am a one-and-only-one cat momma of a cat who does not play well with others and refuses to share his person's love with any other cat. I'll bet you get hundreds if not thousand of inquiries about this cute little girl.
