- In this video, I'm reacting to the movie "Goodfellas" for the first time. I'm a big movie fan and I was really looking forward to watching this movie, but I was really disappointed. I thought the movie was terrible and I didn't enjoy it at all. If you're looking for a good movie to watch, I would suggest you watch something else.
A young man grows up in the mob and works very hard to advance himself through the ranks. He enjoys his life of money and luxury, but is oblivious to the horror that he causes. A drug addiction and a few mistakes ultimately unravel his climb to the top. Based on the book "Wiseguy" by Nicholas Pileggi.

Of course you can, but those enemies rarely let you know enough about them, that makes it worth it to the law enforcement agencies.
Fun Fact: in Goodfellas, director Martin Scorsese brought his parents Catherine and Charles to play both the mother of Joe Pesci's character and as the cook from the prison scene.
Dude, what a blast, and I must say, you're the only person I'd watch a re-watching video, hands down. Everyone else, I prefer first time. With you, it doesn't matter. I hear this is a hard movie to edit down, so double kudos to you! * I believe you are the only reactor who knows that's Scorsse's mom! I've seen all the "Goodfellas" and "Casino" reactions, you're the only one! My grandmother was EXACTLY like her. Any hour, she'd whip up a meal and if you didn't have at least three helpings, she's start apologizing and beating herself up, convinced that you didn't like what she had cooked for you, lol. *** Damn right, she'd do Sammy Davis Jr.! *** I've seen this movie ten million times, I never noticed she was giving the guy head at the prison, lol. *** You're totally right about that big long shot, unbelievable. Michael Imperioli gets shot in the foot in this movie, and in The Sopranos they did a homage to the scene where Michael Imperioli as Chistopher shoots a guy in the foot. So one of the best TV shows ever referenced one of the best movies ever.

@@PopcornReactions Honestly its highly recommended the Original trilogy made in the 70's and 80's titled A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, years later from 1999 to 2005 were the Prequel trilogy which have been titled Episode 1 The Phantom Menace, Episode 2 Attack of the Clones, Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith, we eventually reached the Sequel Trilogy from 2015 to 2019 Episode 7The Force Awakens, Episode 8The Last Jedi, Episode 9 The Rise of Skywalker, there's additional movies Rogue One n Solo a Star Wars story. Many fans have feeling opinions much of a negative stigma towards some films more than others, I advice checking the original entry A New hope, Empire, Return of Jedi, the prequels then the sequels for you to form your own opinion, good luck.

Definitely look up Henry Hill on Howard Stern back in the day, apparently Howard was the only person he confessed to everything, he usually showed up so drunk, it's really sad but in reality he chose that lifestyle

Great reactions throughout this classic film. Like you, I find the scene of Henry and Karen going through the kitchen entrance of the Copacabana in one long take such an astonishing piece of cinematography. I used to work summers at a lake resort outside of Buffalo, NY. Lake Chautauqua. Old money. Big, old hotel. I was a waiter and I would always enter through the kitchen.
Scorsese captured the feel of that atmosphere.

@@PopcornReactions not really kinda irrelevant prequel too The Sopranos it’s got ray In it from this film who played Henry hill but he’s much older and plays 2 roles in the film. The sopranos is definitely worth watching but The many saints of Newark was a bit of a let down

The book is better. Paulie in the book discovers his son is an FBI informant, he gives the order to have him removed. They throw him off a roof of an apartment block.

This movie probably should’ve won Best Picture for 1990. I’m glad Scorsese finally won with “The Departed” in 2006, but we all know he was long overdue. If you don’t like Joe Pesci, then you don’t like American cinema, plain and simple.
