I’m debating going into investment banking post military. The workload seems to be similar, but I won’t be in charge of over 200 people anymore. My plan is to be completely honest will all my answers. I’m genuinely passionate about finance and investmenting. I spend most my free time reading books from the best fund managers in the world and study for my cfa exam and I actually enjoy it. I definitely wouldn’t do this for the money, rather the experience, knowledge, networking and getting to know the industry.
Thank you for all the information you have presented, I've just spent a great deal of time watching most of your content, keep up the great work! Well besides the long work hours, my interest really sparked when my friend discussed the work duties of his Uncle, which at the time was a VP or Managing director at the time, but now he has risen to CEO of that company which was pretty neat. Really interesting stuff though. I am a current finance major at the University of Houston and plan on taking a Private Equity and Investment banking class hopefully in the next 2 semesters.
If you are from finance background then what would you say if you are applying for an internship and don’t have any experience in the field of investment banking?
Hi, The thing you mention at around 11:00. When will you make a video about that topic? Can't see it in any of your recent videos. Thanks for great content! /A
Great video - but I don’t understand how u said investment bankers do not provide advice to CEO’s but yet one thing bankers mention is how they provide strategic advice for their clients to grow as well as using financial models to help them do this. Please could you explain . Thanks!
I’m above the age for an interview but Investment Banking is interesting to me is because it’s Dynamic and Intense. I’m a huge fan of money but Investment Banking has the keys to the kingdom of Finance.
I have certain questions regarding the experiences and qualifications to be added on the CV. You mentioned in the video that you have provided your social handles in the description which I'm unable to find. I would be grateful if you can be of any help. Thank you.
Nope, WoW is not investment banking at all! its broker / old school trading... you might not want to lead with that... your giving the impression you dont know much about the industry today..
My IB spark was the Investment Banking course during my exchange in Singapore (SMU). A senior Investment Banker gave the class every Friday morning at 08:15. Had the best time listening to his IB stories and his view on working hard. After this, I started looking at M&A internships in my home country. How does this story come across?
I do not have a university degree, but I am currently working on AAT Level 4. I will be moving onto ACCA afterwards. In your opinion, is it worth me obtaining a degree alongside this or would the ACCA be enough on its own?
When I was it high school the financial crisis was taken place and it was all over the news. At that point I learned the amount of capital a small amount of people have. I want access to it. That is my honest reason
This video saved my life with a Goldman Sachs interview.
Thank you 😍
Did you get the job?
I don’t get why these video don’t have a lot more views. The content is great.
