I remember when I first went bottle digging, there was a kid's program called ' Why Don't You ' and a boy on there was talking about looking for these dumps and collecting bottles, so I did and found quite a few dump's ! That was back in the 70's, I didn't dig deep like you guys do but found some really old bottles and some of those large brown n cream flagons. Happy day's, brings back some good memories so thx Tom and friend's .
That metal piece you found looks like it might belong to an old vehicle 🚗 or machine of some sort not a lamp that I have seen but you can never tell really can ya! Nice dig Mr. Tom I just watched your newest video on 1- 2022 and I’m so thankful to the Lord for healing your fingers so well. I still haven’t heard or read or watched what happened to you but it sure looked like a terrible accident. Stay well and still watching your videos. I was thinking if you went back to your old digs and picked up off the ground any plain but colored glass I would buy them and I’m sure I’m not the only one I love the plains that have the crude and drippy lips that are green or turquoise or sky blue or brown or amber just a thought to give your viewers something to buy and to put some money in your pocket I’m sure the medical bills and being off work hasn’t helped. Prayers still going up to the Lord for you and your family. All love all the time. Stay safe.
Tom another quality video and what with Shane by your side how can you go wrong! What a great couple of guys to go bottle digging with! Keep it up guys its great entertainment!
Interesting finds. A rather fascinating dump. Although I also found the rifle shooting in the background interesting as well. It doesn’t quite fit with the impression here in Alaska that we’d hear shooting from a range over there. Some of those are kind cool!
What a fantastic dump tom ! Amazing mix of ages . Some amazing older items in an already interesting 40's tip . Plus a few oddities . That Boots the chemist bottle early on looked to have Iodine in it . I have one of the round crock pots with the handle . Found it at my local 1932 . I though they did in fact have lids , but I should imagine they normaly get thrown out because the lids get broken . My one has had a hole punched in the bottom , so maybe it was reused as a Flower Pot . Amazing big salt glazed jars . I'd be in heaven digging those up .
Tom, you had a great day! Love the flask, it's awesome! Lovely poison bottles and gorgeous crocks! I'd love to come and play in your and Shane's spoils piles! :-) Great job at a very good tip!
Holy poison bottles! Love seeing them come out. I have many of them myself. I would have been in heaven diggin them. Keep the videos coming. Looks like a huge area you guys have found.
Very enjoyable dig Tom, not bad poison count, and some keeper embossed, and fancy stonewares Definitely can't complain. Now we both leave this dig happy and I didn't even have to use a shovel ha ha 👍👍👍
Another great vid! Obviously you know more about this than me but could the early chuck outs not just be maybe an older couple died and no one wanted their stuff, or sometimes people just had old things they used for various purpose and eventually got rid of them. I would imagine old bottles were always kept and re-used for home brews etc. Those crocks are a score!
Tom. Do you have a bottle collection? You said you didnt care about bottles. I found you as i was looking for something interesting and you certainly are. So thanks, I'm still interested 🌴Florida 🙋
i love digging bottles and collecting them look through some of my other videos this is one of my local collection ruclips.net/video/uRMjsJHFu4g/видео.html
I cant see myself ever doing the digging lol but i cant help but watch your videos mate 2 Questions What poison was in the Poison bottles and what was it used for ?? and what is an early chuck out ??
Phil poison was given the name because it was anything that was not supposed to be consumed. Some were medicines, some were poisons, most were cleaning chemicals and medicine though. Fancy shaped bottle with ridges and spikes were a good sign that you had the wrong bottle, remember there was no electricity and not much lighting to spare so it would be pitch black in the house most of the time. So it was a good identifier for the visually impaired also.
A early chuck out is a bottle thats survived for say 40-50 years in a seller or something before it finally got thrown away in the rubbish and so ends up substantially older than the tip. Ie 1940s tip with a 1890s stone jar in it
a few days ago i found a perfume bottle embossed with erasmic london Paris , and it had a cork in it, do you have any idea what its worth and when its from? thank you!
In the trenches with a battle raging in the distance , entertaining dig thanks heaps
Oh I just love this dig! The old pottery jars are awesome! Not to mention the old spectacles . I think they look awesome on ya !

The unknown find is an old carbide lamp, used in early mines.
Tom. Please put the “crappy” bottles back in the hole for people like me to dig up and find!
Some of the Sharman bottles with the rabbit trade mark have 1d deposit embossed on them.
At 10.33 it's a fire extinguisher.
Ace video
Reginald Christie glasses 🤓
WAIT! What was that stoneware jar with the narrow neck and the bits coming out the sides?? Wonderful!
It was a broken chicken feeded / drinker
bottlediggertom what a weird shape! I never would have figured that one out. Thx!
Poisons are so common over there! They had corks even in the 1940s?
Yes even in the 40s
But remember this tip is a bit strange we are getting earlier bottles mixed in with the 40s gear
@@bottlediggertom that's awesome! I remember. Old throw-aways are great. :)

Hi when you dig these big holes and glass you don't want do you fill the holes in and place the glass not needed.
your not passing on old beer cans are you?
a few days ago i found a perfume bottle embossed with erasmic london Paris , and it had a cork in it, do you have any idea what its worth and when its from? thank you!

Have you ever found a pocket watch
A couple now but they have just crumbled away when handled
That sucks I found one it’s not complete but the face is great I have a couple videos of it not to be selfish but maybe you could check it out

I'm sure your wife will be delighted that you clean your finds on your pants. Why not carry a toothbrush and cloth 🙂
