Believe me, I own a black one. As time and usage progress, the sound quality enhances. Despite its compact size, the bass is phenomenal. I have been utilizing it for three years with no complications, except that the grips beneath the speaker have worn out.
I love this speaker. I’ve had it since 2021 and recently the grips on the bottom started peeling off. So I got a Bose smart speaker instead for a different kind of build quality and it doesn’t sound as good as the charge 5. Plus the Bose cost me a left arm. JBL all day!

I've read plenty of negative reviews on the battery life alone. How are yours in that department? I wanna get it, but that might be a problem if it's true that it dies fairly quickly
Dude charge is my favorite overall!!! I always buy 2 since the charge 2 came out! This thing is super durable dropped it 2 yimes off of a fork lift and not 1 scratch!!!

This speaker is a joke for its price. The soundcore boom 2 destroys this speaker in every possible way except build quality. You're paying for the JBL name and the build quality.@@JaCrispy1904

I use the LG PL5… my favorite portable mid sized speaker rn ngl but I might give this one a go 🤷🏾♂️

I'm afraid you already went wrong if you wasted your money on this way over priced Trash!!!! Wking X10, is better in every way. It's two times cheaper, 70 watts compared to 20 watts, far more Bass, 45 hour play time, portable charger, AUX port and speaker phone. JBL, don't make any speaker that sounds better 👀

How the battery life at full blast?
I would buy one if there was a 3.5 mm aux port but since there isn't I ended up getting the extreme 3 lmao. I love the extreme 3 I'm certain environments you actually can't hear the sound artifacts at max though with where I live the speaker never gets extremely loud unless at camps

Best 250 bucks i ever spent i swear, if your debating it,dont ,just buy it i promise its one of the best overall Bluetooth speakes out there, almost as loud as the xtreme, obviously not as crazy but even just 2 of these will keep a party bumping no problem, use it for movies,music,youtube, everything, absolute beast of a product

Having stereo speaker in one device is useless, stereo speakers need to be separated with two speakers to feel it

@@numerouno7874Wrong, tracks are downmixed to mono on mono speakers, that lead to treble cancelation. Moreover there’s no soundstage on mono speakers. The only thing you can’t hear on small stereo speakers is stereo separation, but soundstage and stereo mixing is still very well hearable no matter the size.
@@ThibautMahringer yeah i know that, but in most cases for these small speakers, having them on stereo will compromise the loudness of these speakers which make them not fun to hear compared to mono speakers because of split channel that consumes more energy compared to one in mono(consumes less), unless you add more battery to it which makes it more expensive.
Thats why you rarely see little stereo speakers that are really good to hear, something will always be compromised, in most cases the bass because it consumes so much energy and will have less playing time.
I have this and charge 3, the sound coming from charge 3 is better and has a multi point device connection vs this has to be connected and disconnected individually,also charge 3 has mic so u can activate siri or answer calls.

It’s definitely overpriced, but it sounds very good for the size and is amongst the only good sounding speakers at it's size
I have Hi fi- gravity, 45 w max power, really good sound,woofer is great and have crystal clear sound, and quite loud also..

Anyone experiencing changing problems
Not even close to 20 hours my died after 7 hours after a full charge. Then the speaker will shut off even if it’s plugged in. I’m disappointed
