Great video as always. I wish there was a tank equivalent to Paladin in generals. Something between the main battle tank they have and the larger artillery one. Although I understand the route they took. They have provided many more options in every unit type.
Thanks mate, appreciate the support.
Yeah seems the only real tank is the Hunter, the rest are more specialized armored vehicles, like the scrambler and the shield maiden, but not many other core battle tanks.
Seems the Dynasty has at least he boar and voltaic tank.
But also the lore seems to be in the favour of having many more other specialized tech units instead of the current modern age battle tanks.
@@MrBeefy anytime. I get excited every time you upload content on tempest rising. Other RTS that I follow as well.
Regarding the units, I know they mentioned there will be special units in campaign like what we had as mercenaries in Star Craft 2 campaign. I love this and I'm looking forward to it a lot.
Also I'm almost certain there will at least one expansion pack. Hopefully they'll include more armor plus a super unit equivalent of MARV.
@@mehryar. yeah wish i can pump out some more Tempest Rising content! but waiting for hopefully a pvp demo or the launch date or even 3rd faction, then we can really pump out some more content!
Really excited for this one.
and yeah, i think Tempest Rising is really going to tap into the C&C Fan base, so if they do this proper, they can have a solid title lined up for the next couple of years, if they keep the updates and content coming.
Really feel they have a winner here. Something that that hardcore Fans have been craving for very very long...
@@MrBeefy I fully agree with you here man. I'm just sitting back with my fingers crossed waiting for the game. they've been quiet about release date which gives me hope. It means they're working on the game making sure it's clean and relatively bug free which is great news for me.
Thanks for video my friend ❤
My pleasure! Hope you enjoyed it
Only thing missing is super weapons. Hopefully, they are just keeping those in the tank for release.
There are some special faction abilities like air strikes etc' but no sign of super weapons as yet... I doubt they will have big nukes and that.
It appear the Trebuchet is the Apoc / Mammoth tank in Tempest rising , big enough to not to be crushed by Dynasty tempest sphere while can deploy arty mode , also have 2 barrels too . The description does not seems to suggest it can't engage unit at very close range while in mobile mode .
Man the mammoth tank of C&C hits hard on nostalgia levels. That was a beast of a tank.
There quite a few units that resembles other c&c units. So this could well be one of those...
I do think this unit can still fire out of deployed mode for closer targets. And when deployed it gets the damage and range boost
It appears to be a hybrid of a mammoth tank from C&C and a siege tank from StarCraft
@@jaredbickmore2474 Very True, having the looks of the mammoth / apoc tank from C&C, but the deploy-able artillery style from a siege tank ( or in this case siege artillery!!!)
They have cool stuffs but their seems somehow lacking in vehicle s department compared to Dynasty. Well, they are 'specialists/commandos" faction and maybe that's why.
Yeah specially in armored "Tanks" sector.
They seem more tech specialize vehichles in their arsenal.
Well if you have "Hijackers" as one of your units. lacking in Vehicles is your enemies problem, not yours cause you will just steal theirs.
Riot Infantry: throws EMP grenade
Hijacker: hippity hoppity your vehicle is now GDF property
It becomes hilarious when paired with the Unit Trailers for Tempest units where the announcer specifically tells you to "Keep away from GDF Riot Troopers and their EMP Grenades" pretty much tells you how much of a menace GDF Riot Troopers are to vehicles.
I also find it hilarious that it's the "Institution" GDF, has access to such an underhanded unit (Hijacker) usually the ones who have those units are terrorists or rebels (GLA, Brotherhood of Nod, and Cartel) the only times the Good Guys ever had such units are Allies in Red Alert 3, and Foehn Revolt in Mental Omega (then again Foehn Revolt is a rebellion against a tyrant with Mind Control).
@@Quadrolithium lol the Riot pod, will be one of my first tech route choices lol.
I can see how frustrating it will be to play against hahaha.
But tbh i think the faction i will play first and most should be the Dynasty, i love their look and feel.
Is there a naval unit like an aircraft carrier, a destroyer, or a submarine?
Unfortunately no signs of Naval units as yet :(
Not in any of the first 2 factions, so maybe later in new DLC but don't think it will be for launch any naval units.
@@MrBeefy Do you think it will be in a DLC? I hope so, because if there are no naval units, this game will be just like anything else. I mean, the gameplay experience and the story is okay.
@@bigsmile5476 I do hope they go the route in a DLC or future update to implement it indeed, that will definitely make it stand out and be different.
Naval battles are always epic in RTS games, specially from AOE.
I think they are trying to ape the tiberian series more than red alert. Which means no naval sadly
@@Kyle7565 Yeah, but C&C The First Decade and C&C3 Tiberum Wars have naval units you can't control, but they're there for support, so if they make a naval unit like this in Tempest Rising, that would be cool.
Where are superpowers?
There is no "Super Powers" per say... But rather Support powers. That are used to enahnce army and also each faction has one devastating damaging air strike power.
GDF has:
Support beacon
Riot drop
Spy Drones
Comms jammer
Tempest Air strike
Dynasty has:
Infarmary
Mine drop
Call in the Guard
Lockdown
Tempest Missile
@@MrBeefy that's not good enough, we need massive super power plus support power like zero hour
@@nofateify yeah i think they did mention they not doing any major super powers like nukes or ion canon etc.
Would also love to see those big late / end game destructive weapons being used.
