- Edit When clearing the rifle after removing the inner magazine tube always cycle the action and examine the chamber, feed path and magazine well for any ammunition present, before working on any firearm. A walk through of the Henry Lever Action 22lr disassembly and reassembly. I’m no professional on firearms other than my own experience over the years with various firearms. If you see something I’ve done wrong or named wrong please comment so I can learn from you too, thank you and I hope you enjoy the video and or find it helpful.
The explanation on how to replace the bolt and lever cover at 10:15 was a thing of beauty! Every other video has an "awkward moment" when trying to reassemble with the bolt in the cover. Thanks for this video!
Thank you Brother. it took me a while to figure out this method as I too saw many other “how to” videos on it and never could do it easily or consistently. thanks for watching and the comment, hope this helps you during your firearm cleaning and maintenance.
I found you because you're the only one who knows how to put the bolt and cover back on. Thank you!
wow thank you for the comment Brother. I am glad my little channel here is helping others, be safe, have fun and cause no harm friend.
Very well explained. Thank you very much. Have a beautiful and blessed week.
Thank you Brother on viewing and for leaving a comment. Gotta love the Henry rifles 👍.
Thank you for showing the best way to get the bolt & cover back on!! You rock.
Glad to help
After watching several videos thanks for the proper demonstration
Wow thank you for the compliment.
Great video! I like the trick to getting the bolt back in! Just purchased a Henry classic! You're video made me a subscrber!
Hey thanks for that Brother. Most of my videos are merely the easiest way I have found to clean, disassembly and reassemble firearms. This one in particular I had a tough time with, couldn’t find a consistent or easy video on how to put in the bolt and receiver cover so after messing around stumbled onto this way and I have received a lot of positive feedback. Thanks for watching and subscribing, happy pew pew on.
Thanks for the video, I always had problems putting the cover and bolt back together before. Watched your video, now no problems👍👍👍
Glad I was able to help you out with the issue you were having, cheers.
Thanks for a great video!! God bless
Thanks for watching!
Best maintenance and breakdown video iv seen 👏👏👏
wow thanks Brother.
Very easy to follow video. Thank you.
Thank you for the words 👍
Clear and accurate! Thanks, John.
thank you Brother, I try to make my videos easy to follow so one day my Son can watch them and learn “how to” once he inherits them.
Need to make sure the chamber is also clear not just the tube magazine.
yes I have noticed it’s not a true clearing of the firearm. it has been pointed out to me and I have edited the description to reflect just that. good catch just the same on safety 👍 my future videos now have a prerecorded video added at the beginning on firearm clearing. Thank you for watching and for the comment.
Where did you get that screw driver. I am in Australia cannot find anything that looks like it. Great explanation. Thank you.
Tbh I inherited it so not sure where it originated from.
Wouldn’t you also cycle the action after removing the magazine tube to make sure the chamber is empty?
Excellent video overall.
yes absolutely upon re watching this video I did not safe check the firearm properly on camera. I assure you I do ensure my firearms are safe before engaging in any repair/ cleaning… good call though thank you for the comment 👍👍
You talking about putting the buttstock back on backwards I did that my very first time taking it apart and I forced to butt stock on the wrong way and I broke the ear off the top cover that goes over the receiver and I had to buy a new hole cover from Henry
ouch, I’m glad mine didn’t go that way. thanks for the comment 👍
Great video but you forgot to clean it. 😂😂 just kidding.
Funny thing is just had it out to the range a day ago and afterwards I cleaned it but now I have a bore snake rather than a rod and patches… way better lol
Isn't there a screw on the top and the bottom of the stock?
on the Henry I have there is only the one butt stock screw and the fore stock has none. mine is a newer model, maybe you have an older model? thanks for you comment.
