I had a tundra with the big v8 as my mobile hunting rig. Lived out of the back of it. Was really nice. My wife had a 2011 4runner. I always liked the 4 runner. We sold both of our vehicles when we moved to Qatar for work. We should be back in 2 yrs and I've really been thinking of going with the 4 runner and downsizing from the big v8 that only averaged around 12-13mpg. Love the idea of being able to sleep in the cab of the 4runner as opposed to sleeping in the camper shell. I spent probably 80 nights in that camper shell in 2 yrs so I got a pretty good idea of what I need/like for my next build. I'm excited to be able to start with a clean slate when I return to the US as far as which vehicle I get
Hey Carl - I own most all of my saddle gear from you guys. I have a '95 4-Runner(I'm the original owner - that's probably rare these days) I'm currently going thru - same color as your 2000 - the clear coat and paint have faded bad - will be getting a paint job once she's tuned back up and running. I've got an '03 Cruiser 100 series I use mainly and my '05 Tundra that is my other go-to. All 3 for hunting and outfitting kayak and ebike excursions. I use my ebike for hunting as well. Would love to see you guys do an in-depth series on using an ebike for public land or WMAs. It's a great way to haul gear and deer where you can get back in several miles in certain places. I have mine rigged with a custom rack/hitch that will haul my deer cart w/up to 300lbs. Love your rig there! - keep her running good and she won't let you down. ~ You can go out in anything, but if you want to come back - better have a Toyota!
Nice setup I have almost the same I’ve done to my 2002 that I’ve owned from day 1 After 20 years stock I went to ADS shocks 4xinnovations bumpers, Sherpa rack and gulwings Those maybe a nice add on one side for your needs Check out velox off-road
I love it. That's a really awesome ride. I met you at Crab Orchard NWR, IL in the fall of 2020. I was hiking through a Cow Pasture with a climber on my back for a few miles. After talking to you, I've been a Tethrd Saddle hunter ever since. My only question with this rig is where do you put the deer? I have a hitch based cargo rack on mine, but that's where your e-bike goes.
3rd Gen=Best Gen.
I love my 3rd gen 4runner. Originally build it for hunting/work.
Now it's my daily. Super reliable, very capable.
Beautiful build!
Very nice, I've got a 3rd gen as well, very similar setup

Sweet as they get! Forgot to talk about the weathertech floor mats and it looks like the strongman gas struts for the rear gate possibly?

I have a giant body bag style, zip up tarp that I can put the deer in the back with.
Every 4Runner just went up 10k. Lol
Not gonna lie, kinda jealous
