Dude, congrats for your vision of teaching. You put in simple words what some great teacher are unable to teach after 20 lessons. Please ignore those "I'm bored with your video" because you are really helping a lot of people who want to dance like everyone else and are punished with interminable classes doing the same sh***t step. Your job is great, thank you !

Cool video. I have been dancing salsa for several years and am confident on the dance floor now, but I think the biggest problem for new male dancers of salsa is that they are afraid to start in the freestyle dance section of an evening. The tips in this video are just what is needed to get a new dancer to get started in freestyle. Like it.

Way to go this is a great video to start off with. Like anything else you start off by playing around and experimenting then it will come naturally. Plus just as instructed you can look good enough to have fun in the dance floor as a beginner and that’s the important thing! Nice instructional work. 🙂

It isn't just "lift the left hand." There is a little bit of direction from the hand. "Speak to the hand!"~Jim Carry.
Tiny criticism aside, very good! Very great! I went to lessons for years and no one told me about hand positions to signal what you intend the woman to do. Magic wand? Clever! I like it. And you both look so nice.
Someone told me, "drive me! Like I am a car!" Sweet little 72 year-old salsa dancer.
    So...I drove her.

GREAT video! I have been doing salsa for a few years and some of the things you discussed I never understood how easy it was to add these movements into ones dance. I think I am going dancing tonight to test the new skills you gave me. LOL Love it, my brother. Love it! I have subscribed and will be checking out more of your awesome videos!
Just my thoughts as fellow dance instructor. I actually teach another form of dance called Detroit-style ballroom and Chicago style steppin'. Salsa is my 3rd Love this week. LOL Again, Love the tutorial!

Thank you for your encouragement. We'll have to check those other dances out - we're currently setting up a dance school somewhat close to Chicage (6 hours away)

I am not sure about why it is the woman's job to make you look good? You are still the leader, you are calling the turns. Perhaps it is more important to have a better connection so you can signal more clearly?

Guys get too nervous about basic timing that they forget to have fun. This video is made to remind guys to have fun and not worry if they have perfect timing or perfect connection. I prefer to teach a guy 100 moves, then slowly refine their style with years of lessons as opposed to only giving them 3 steps to master in their first year. Who wants 3 steps in the first year of dancing? Our method will make you stick with salsa for sure as it is fast, fun, and easy from the beginning.

marshall886 hahahha...same way a man impregnate his wife but praises goes to the woman .everyone forget that the man did a lot of work(who cares).have that basic pure marriage concept in mind with dancing and it will be fine.you give the command and work hard, the leader must be submissive and take your commands, add up some beauty(her movements, gesture, body language etc)to make it nice but mostly at the end she is praise as a good dancer until a bad dancer dances with her.hahah
