For someone who is just now learning Salsa, I have to say this is the best video I've seen so far. It gives you a large variety of moves that aren't super complicated and if you get through all of this and retain just half of it you will have no problems getting on the dance floor and doing Salsa confidently. Thanks to you for making this!

As a critic I must say your salsa tutorials and the teaching methods you adopt are perfect for the average beginner. Your directives and video are clean and crisp keep it up.
Still the best in 2019! I took a salsa class at the local Junior College. I learned more watching this for 2 hours than I did a whole semester in the class!
because teachers control the pace, i now this from other dances, if they would teach you , why would you go to the classes anymore? you go to a semester and you only find 2 3 things that are interesting anymore , unless you are a total beginner and then everything is new for you.
I consider myself an intermediate dancer and I had my hesitations watching an hour long salsa tutorial. Wow was I wrong! Thank you so much for making this. Your instructions, attention to detail and clarity made this really easy to follow. Before I knew it an hour had easily passed and I learned some great new moves! Thank you again for making this, definitely one of the better tutorials on the interweb! Saludos!
Just wonderful, I've been looking for "salsa dance videos free download" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Miyyan Wenacob Bulldozer - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my mate got excellent results with it.
This is the best free video with so many cool moves and really well explained. I like both the dancers too, they come across as friendly and modest at the same time. Great job guys!
This is amazing - the best salsa course on youtube, I should think. Thank you so much! Someone has asked me out to a salsa club and while I did take standard and latin classes for a couple of years, I never learned the salsa. With my previous dance experience and this video I‘m no longer afraid to embarrass myself.

Thanks. i needed this. I am taking beginner classes and they don't call the 3 and 7 steps "together" steps and that was throwing me off the entire time - was doing cha-cha trying to keep time, lol. 2 minutes into your video and now I have the pattern down cold now. Thanks! Now I can go back to class feeling like a boss, lol.
QuinceaneraChoreographerGeno great video although it was published without your permission. As for what you've done here... crazy... fabulous... incredible... and it's on RUclips... lol so it can't be that bad... free publicity and I hope your hard work has paid off in Pheonix, AR - Geno & Kristin!!!!
rosswoodshire I already submitted an ownership affidavit with RUclips :) because Geno tried to not pay for the completed video among making many racist, extremely rude remarks after violation our contract terms as far as length of production. I own the full video because I was never completely paid for my work. So I made the video available for everyone online for free. Thanks.
Lucrative Pictures Why are you submitting an affidavit now, because the video has reached almost a 1,000,000 viewers and I WAS TOLD you guys get some money when any video reaches the million viewers. If this is truth, it is a very tricky and smart move rosswoodshire. WHY YOU DIDN'T SUBMIITED ANY THING WHEN THE VIDEO HAD 200,000 VIEWERS. VERY SMART I HOPE GENO SUE YOU.
roberto santos No, actually. I submitted it when the video was first uploaded to RUclips last year. I appreciate all donations received & we're working to create more future content like this. And as for Geno suing me... haha. He broke our contractual agreement & in turn, doesn't own the rights to any of the media that I created. If he was interested in suing me after trying to steal my work, then I would love to see him in court. Truth is Geno is a rude, racist scumbag that tried to screw over a young producer out of just a couple hundred dollars. So instead of me pursuing legal action against him, I made the video available for everyone online for free.
+Lucrative Pictures As you don't own the copyright of the persons included. Unless your contract states that in case of a violations it grants you special rights (like the right to redistribute), you don't have the rights to do so. In case its a regular contract with no such statements it renders your actions illegal. Why? Because any picture/video of a person that does not render you as not important (like in any holiday video) the persons own the rights on the pictures, i.e., you are not allowed to do anything without their permission. So better really check what your contract says.
I started salsa dancing many years ago and had some classes to get me started, and learned the rest over time from observation and RUclips videos. I had stopped for a long time and wanted to get back to it and I find this video a fantastic tool to refresh on the basics and fundamentals while also adding a few moves to my repertoire. I like your way of teaching and thoroughness. Do you do club style cha Cha as well? I would be interested in any lessons you have on that. Most videos on that subject seem to be more of a competition genre. I would be interested in anything you produce on that subject
Hey, I just want to say that you both do a really nice job of covering basic movements and transitions. I have been dancing salsa for many years, but I am not a shamed to say that I come back to basics every once and a while to see if I can pick up something new - even within the basics. It's also very cool that you place movements and the time where those movements show up on the video. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video! Anyway, just wanted to say that this is very cool!
This comment is towards Yadisha. First as a Ballroom dance instructor this is definitely a salsa not a tango, so you must be blind. And second the women is beautiful. So just because you don't like your own image don't take it out on others. Great job both of you and keep up the good work.
This has got to be the BEST instructing I've ever came across...I will recommend this clip to my friends...none of us know how to dance Salsa but after watching this...I know I can at least get on the dance floor. Great job!! Thank you!!
I am so glad I found your video... I know this stuff But I could never organize it in my head... Your video and presentation is simple and straightforward. Now I get it thank you
This is the best video I've seen, it's easy to follow, you guys do a great job. Thanks so much for taking the time. What i like the most is that you repeat the steps over and over again and you do it slow so one can follow along then you do it from different angles. I recommend this video to my friends who want to learn Salsa as well to anyone who want to learn Salsa. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. You both make a great couple. take care
Geno and Kristin, thanks for this excellent beginning Salsa vibe! It's a detailed video with detailed instructions (i.e. counts, quick-quicks), demos of moves with music, and tips. Additionally, you provide the names of dances. There are many dance instructors who don't know the name of the dance patterns they are teaching! I will check out your book on Bachata. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for sharing this! I am a physical education teacher and used this video 3 times today to teach to my grades 4,5, and 6. They all loved it! Easy to follow, and you give us enough time to practice each move.
Salsaaaaa! I have been dancing Salsa since I was 13 and I'm 54. Yeap, I saw all the great salsa musicians of the 1970's(Fania All Stars) and the others that followed. Great tutorial. You captured all the right moves and made it very easy for newbies to learn. Maybe I will do a video and send it to you. I'm certain that you will be able to teach many people with this tutorial. Congrats!
Geno, Kristin... you guys rock! Thank you for teaching with such ease and simplicity. Your video has given me some hope and a little inspiration to continue learning salsa.
Excellent video an style of teaching. I thought I had it all together, now I realize I didn't. I learned a lot from your video. Liked your style, wished you danced all the steps towards the end.
Great lessons, thank you! I'm still a beginner and I like the different angles and especially when you show how the count works with the arms as well as the legs. When you demo the different movements to music, please repeat them more times, so we can practice more without having to back up video.
This video IS applicable for beginners. You CAN perform these moves on a social dance floor.... especially to LA Salsa (On 1) just as they are demonstrating in the video. What dmtrchr is probably referring to is the guy in the video and his lack of smoothness and swagger.... but that may be because he's teaching separate moves. Bottom line though, this video IS applicable, even though it's not the best demonstration. Richard Alan Try Addicted to Salsa youtube page. If you want a motivating vid to what you are aiming to look like, check out Terry Salsalianza and click his first vid. He's dancing with Amely (I believe Terry dances mostly mambo aka salsa on 2)
Been using youtube salsa vids on and off for the last few years....this is by far and away the best video I have ever used for breaking things down and for me to learn moves easily....THANK YOU!!! :-)
I consider my self a very seasoned dancer. I've dance on the stages of PR salsa congress and NY salsa congress, but one thing I keep in mind and always come back to are the basics. Very complete Basic course. Thank you for posting!!!!
This is by far the best salsa dancing video/class I've ever seen. You guys make it very simple, easy and the best of all, not boring at all. I like the way you cover both parties (woman and men steps) foot work. Great job you guys!!
Nice Moves..and very easy to understand ..Both of you great..and thanks for your instructions..Its very good for biginers like me...I like your way and style..
Geno & Kristin....thank you for a fantastic salsa instruction video. This is one of the best I've come across on YT! This is perfect for intermediates like myself so we can easily grow our repertoire of moves!
Mil gracias por todas sus instrucciones y también sus explicaciones, especialmente los detalles acerca las vueltas. He disfrutado y entendido bien. Están ustedes maestros excelente!
I'm a beginner and I have to say that your explanations and directions for Salsa are very easy to follow and adapt. I think just after watching your video I feel more comfortable with Salsa. Thank You Both! Great Job!
Kristin, Geno. Thank you for a simplified version of the basic movements. You are great and my partner will appreciate my attempts as she is very good but I’ve only just started!
I just completed a salsa cubana beginners class and after watching this i cant wait until my next class starts so i can apply everything that i learnt from this tutorial. Thank You so much!
I don't know how to say for both of you, that is very easy way to learn , thanks sooo much , thanks for that video to learn people and you make the people happy...
An excellent compilation of movies and their variations in one video. Especially as it starts from beginner and progresses in clear, gradual stages. Naturally you might add some extra moves/variations along the way but this takes the dancer to improver / lower intermediate level. Don't need to go to classes. Just watch this video and then practise with a partner.
Just taking the time to say that this video is pure gold for a beginner who wants to hit the dance floor. I appreciate that you showed each step slowly from each side and then with music and took the time to reiterate the counts and what foot or hand you were using. Good job, great instructional video!
wonderful. I cant wait for my boyfriend and I to practice this together. Thank you so much. I am mixed with Puerto Rican and so his my boyfriend. I have taken paid Salsa lessons before in the past. I know the basic, where my boyfriend does not know his right from his left (I always joked that I have two left feet, he in the other hand must have 3) for he is horrible at dancing... anyway thank you so much for posting this..... God Bless....
This is a great video. I really appreciate how you guys broke each move down as opposed to trying to show us a bunch combos. It gives me an opportunity to figure out each individual move and then on my own I can kind of play with moves and stringing them together
For someone who is just now learning Salsa, I have to say this is the best video I've seen so far. It gives you a large variety of moves that aren't super complicated and if you get through all of this and retain just half of it you will have no problems getting on the dance floor and doing Salsa confidently. Thanks to you for making this!

I LOVE how you just TEACH and don't try to make yourself all cool and self ego pumping. Brilliant. Thank you.
This got to be the best Salsa video for beginners! If you master all the 36 moves, you will not be a beginner anymore.
This is by far the best Salsa video out there, which is why it has soooo many views!
This is worth paying for and it reminds you of what RUclips was made for.
Absolut
I have learned much more on RUclips than actual lessons. Open dancing with a partner helps greatly
As a critic I must say your salsa tutorials and the teaching methods you adopt are perfect for the average beginner. Your directives and video are clean and crisp keep it up.

This kind of lesson I call generous. Not every teacher does it this way, because they wanna stay still the best. Thank you very much. Good luck. 🕺💃
best salsa lesson I have seen so far on the internet^^

Very good and clear instruction. This is how dancing should be taught.
Finally someone who counts by 4/8 instead of that weird timing must peope use to teach me by. Thanks for sharing.

There are plenty of videos but I find this video is the best for learning movements and combinations. Thank you so much!

Superb salsa video instructions. A lot of people can dance it, but few can teach it -especially this well.
Excellent video an style of teaching. I thought I had it all together, now I realize I didn't. I learned a lot from your video. Liked your style, wished you danced all the steps towards the end.
good teaching, nice and clear, easy to understand
Every one else has said it. Fantastic video. I'm going over this again and again.
Great lessons, thank you! I'm still a beginner and I like the different angles and especially when you show how the count works with the arms as well as the legs. When you demo the different movements to music, please repeat them more times, so we can practice more without having to back up video.

This is by far the best salsa dancing video/class I've ever seen. You guys make it very simple, easy and the best of all, not boring at all. I like the way you cover both parties (woman and men steps) foot work. Great job you guys!!
Excellent!
Awesome! Really this should be named The Complete Salsa Hand(Video)book. Thank you!
Before I watch this video my dance is like a ninja turtle strokes , now i am in love with Salsa.
best beginners lesson so far!!!!
Nice Moves..and very easy to understand ..Both of you great..and thanks for your instructions..Its very good for biginers like me...I like your way and style..

sei un grande unico .....unico che sappia veramente insegnare le figure. complimenti a voi due
Excellent work guys, very nice explaining, difficult for me, but when you guys do it, it look so simple. Thank you for your lovely work.
Geno & Kristin....thank you for a fantastic salsa instruction video. This is one of the best I've come across on YT! This is perfect for intermediates like myself so we can easily grow our repertoire of moves!
This sums up all the basic lessons I learnt over 20 years ago! What a refresher! Thank you 😊 Very good instructions 👍
Love seeing all the moves in one instance like this. Great job.
I don't know how to say for both of you, that is very easy way to learn , thanks sooo much , thanks for that video to learn people and you make the people happy...
The best teaching on youtube
This took so much time, energy and patience. Thank you so much guys. Your contribution allows me to dance with life!
One of the best free videos out there to learn , thanks.
Amazing job!!! Hands-down best beginner / intermediate video on RUclips
Yes it's the best broken down in simple segments...giving the names of each segment...learned more here...then from my tudor...x
this video saved my life!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely INCREDIBLE! You have new flower in me. THANK YOU
This is a great video. I really appreciate how you guys broke each move down as opposed to trying to show us a bunch combos. It gives me an opportunity to figure out each individual move and then on my own I can kind of play with moves and stringing them together
Best salsa lessons!!! Thank you very much
