Hopefully you will find something of interest. Quite a lot of this video is common sense, with the occasional hint that may surprise.

Lots of good points. Thanks for the mention. I remember a French tour where one of our group had one of those toll tags. Not sure why (perhaps positioning), but it didn’t work half the time. I just keep the credit card in my tank bag back pocket. Easy to access even wearing gloves.
We use those solid state drives, work brilliantly, and I can edit directly from them on return home
I do recommend the Anker 6 port USB charger.
My top touring tip is to take a Carol. A Carol will carefully investigate the best places to stop. She will plan twisty routes and put the GPX files on your sat nav. A Carol will remind you if you're riding too enthusiastically and save you being heavily fined by the local police. A Carol isn't a touring must, but I rarely leave home without one.

Stop trying to earn brownie points!!!! 😆 Interesting stuff about the toll tag! More investigation and research needed! Thank you for your support and comments as always! I don’t have a Carol but I do have a Sally O Kins, we are both lucky!! 👍

2nd top tip I take a 10 ft long 10 mm thick cable and padlock so if we leave our bike we can thread it through our sleeves on our jacket and helmets and lock it to tje bike ..And a night it loops through the wheels for added security.

Great vid buddy, agree with everything you said. I also recommend the Emovis tag which i've used for years, removes all the faff and through tolls without stopping usually ( some are a bit slow detecting the tag). I also carry a spare one now incase i need it in an RFID pouch so the tolls can't detect it, so i can lend it to a friend who's travelling with me and they can pay me back when home or whenever. You can view your toll charges online in your account. I avoid peages whenever possible but sometimes its just more practical to get to a certain point much quicker ... but watch those motorway fuel prices, extstortionate like uk motorways ! I also carry a disc lock and a litelok moto ( long version) to lock the bike to an immobile object etc but will curl up inside my topbox or stow on top of it with a rockstrap etc. Oh and a peg or similar to attach your boarding ticket to the screen. We don't carry hoodies or jumpers etc, but we carry our keis heated jackets because you can wear them anytime, even to go out in the evenings if its chilly etc and of coarse our bike powers them, can save lots of space especially on long tours !
Anyway, i'm sure all your tips will be usefull to many and remember google maps on your phone or a paper map can be lifesaver if your sat nav dies ! 😊

Thanks for the shout out buddy I did a similar video last year away learning what to take . I have a top tip or two to share if you wear a water proof over suit take a carrier bag to pop over your boot and the suit will slip right on with ease..

See it’s the simple tricks I like! I love the bag idea. In hindsight I made this too long I should have just considered on the tips instead of waffling! Cheers Andy🚜! 👍☘️

I have just bought what I consider to be a game changer of a camera! If you are looking for compact and good quality have a look at the DJI Osmo pocket 3! But if you want something with a good zoom go for something like a Song FDR AX53 hope that helps! The DJI is better for vlogging!

thats a LOT of moneys worth in just 2 jackets and a pair of trousers ... HideOut aren't cheap at all, must have set you back about £3,000 just for those 3 items 😬

@@the_mad_leprechaun for sure, it's top quality kit, no doubt about it - you get what you pay for ... a worthy investment indeed. It's just a shame it's way above most peoples kit budget.
