Ahhh great camp. Very relaxing. Jam and bread for me straight after school sometimes with a digestive in the middle mmm delicious Looking forward to your dunking clip rich tea biscuits for me with hot tea. Thanks for taking us along all the very best Pete 👍⛺️🚴
Hi Pete, many thanks for watching and commenting, glad you enjoyed it. Living your best life with your bread, jam and digestive combo! I might have to try that. Rich Tea have gotten a lot of love in the comments, which has surprised me somewhat. I will of course be busting them out for an upcoming camp. 👍
Loved the Barneys Bimbles Biscuit Break segment - Gingernut dunk is the way forward!! Jacks (Tescos?) chocolate digestives are bullet proof when it comes to dunkin!! but obviously best enjoyed with a Darjeeling coffee ;-)
Cheers Rich, the biscuit reviews are here to stay. I'm pleasantly surprised to see that I've not had any comments from the ginger nut haters, I always thought they were a divisive biscuit! The Digestives are probably a video in themselves and I shall come to them in due course and give them the reverence that they deserve. I'll politely ignore your final comment! 🤬👍
The Brompton got you to camp in good style Barney and the tent for a change seemed to work in the woods. A nice chilled evening it looked - warm as. As for pudding the bread and jam no doubt went down a treat. All in all a worthwhile trip. Mark
Another enjoyable watch and good to see the Brompton on the trail too. Love the idea of a Biscuits and Brews feature - Ginger Nuts are a firm favourite (unless over-dunked, of course!), Go for it! 👍🫖🍪
Thanks Amanda, glad you enjoyed it. The biscuit reviews seem to have gone down well so they're here to stay. I think a ginger nut is highly underrated! 👍
@barneysbimbles versatile for all sorts too... bandage, turnequet, tea towel, emergency poo roll, eye patch, cold compress (if you happen to have ice nearby or very cold water) loads of different multi uses for a bandana
Cheers matey. I'm really pleased with the Bobcat, can't wait to take it out to a more exposed location for a proper test. Glad you enjoyed the biscuit review, plenty more of them to come. 👍
I am taken aback by your Ginger Nuts, Barn. Really a disgusting biscuit may I say 😁 Chocolate HobNobs or, Custard Creams would be my preference. The Schwalbe tyres. Are they made by the WEF and Klaus Schwalbe? 😊 A pleasant looking night in the woods there, Barn. Funny a Scout group walked through though 🤣 Looking forward to your next outings 😉👍🏼
Hello Tim, always a pleasure to hear from you sir. I'll accept that ginger nuts are an acquired taste. I like them and I don't care who knows it! Custard Creams though are most definitely biscuit royalty, very impressive dunkers. Blimey that Klaus Schwab comment was very niche, didn't have you down as an economist! Looking forward to seeing your vid from last week 👍
i have to say, when i first clicked on your video, my first impression was " bahhhhh hahahaa"... as in....your bike, your setup, your build, etc.........BUT...now having watched it, KUDOS !!!! nice stuff, nice setup ( i have the originator to your oex bobcat tent ) and nice everything :-) you use the same pillow construction as me.. i also like to take that soft bundle and lay my micro fibre towel over it for a bit of skin softness :-)
Ha ha, glad you enjoyed the setup. The Brommy can seem like a bit of a clown bike, but it's a great bit of kit and really well made. Not so good on the off road trails in the wetter months though, but then again it has no right to even be going off road! Those stuff sack pillows are great aren't they, I honestly don't know why more people aren't using them instead of the inflatable pillows that seem to fail so often! Many thanks for checking out the video and commenting, it's much appreciated 👍
First-time visitor - liked and subscribed. Very nice trip. I think it's great that you search for and seize the opportunity to get away for a bit. Well done - self care.
Lovely biscuit friendly video Barney, great to see the Brompton out and apparently people go for a 39 or 40 tooth chain ring for hill climbing assistance, might be a good idea to put a lock on the bike if you can't get it in the tent as you never know ! Lovely breakfast, great tent and set up, thanks for sharing 👏👋
Hi, glad you enjoyed the video and that is for commenting. Yeah I think I'm definitely going to get a 39 tooth chain ring for the brommie. I live in a hilly area and need all the help that I can get. Fair comment about a lock too, generally the bike doesn't leave my side, especially when I'm commuting with it, but I have been known to tie it to my shelter when camping! 👍
Great video on the bike Barney. Looking well despite all the sweat 😂 Lovely location and what are the chances of being discovered by a group of scouts. Loved the biscuit feature, I am a bourbon fan, so top marks for including it in the first session 😂😂 All the best. Lee 👍
Deffo keep the biscuit review mate, choccy digestive for me 👍 I’ve just put a 39T chainring on mine and it’s made a massive difference. Glad to see how much gear you got in the front bag , I picked one up off eBay when I knew I was getting my brommy. Another cracking camp even if it was a tad warm.
Cheers Dave, the biscuit reviews will definitely make a return. I'm going to save the Digestives for a special video though as they need a bit more reverence! Yeah I think I shall follow suit with the 39t chainring, will do that soon when I change the chain. I don't know if you think this, but filming when on a bike is so much harder! All the best 👍
Cheers Joel, I've heard nothing but good stuff about the Bobcat and that's why I bought it. I'm looking forward to using it in some more adverse conditions, need to take it down to Dartmoor too. I was expecting it to be a bit stuffy overnight, but I just left the door open and it was fine. Many thanks as always for watching and commenting 👍
Great video, got to keep the BBB reviews. Every biscuit is better after being dunked. There is always a bit of jeopardy dunking a Rich-tea as it may plop back into the brew. And Fig-rolls seem to be indestructible no matter how long they are dunked for.
Cheers John, glad you enjoyed it. The biscuit segment is definitely here to stay. I've had a few Rich tea comments so maybe they'll be the next biscuit of choice. The Fig rolls have also just generated a bit of conversation between my wife and I. I love a fig roll too, but are they a biscuit? It's like the Jaffa cake debate all over again! 👍
This was my first video of yours I've seen. I like the calm feel. I thought u had coffee until u said it was tea. What kind of tea? Also u got another subscriber. Cheers.
Hi Nathan, thanks for checking out the video and subscribing, really glad you enjoyed the content. That was loose leaf tea (Yorkshire Tea) that I was using in a tea infuser that I got off Amazon. I'm quite partial to a nice cup of tea!! 👍
I've had you on pause for like 2 hours! 😂 You can't beat a Stanley Hip flask... I'm sure they are about 330 ml? Nice camp Barn, shame about the dib dib dobbers 😂😂
Cheers Lee, many thanks for all the comments. All the Stanley products are awesome and worth every penny. That hip flask is just a small one, about 230ml, just enough for a decent glug of scotch. 👍
Great video. I've just changed froma 44t to a 39 having been defeated by Bristol hills with camping gear. Off to the peak district to try it out later this week and I'm hoping to glide up hills! Can you sit up in the Bobcat if it was raining? To read and stuff?
Excellent, I'm thinking the 44t might suit my needs and the hills in Kent. The Bobcat is great, it's still only a 1 person tent so is not exactly a palace. But, I'm 5'10" and can sit up in it with no issue. It also has a very generous vestibule and a really clever door with four zippers allowing you to configure the door and vestibule area in multiple ways. I've not used mine in the rain yet, but I'd be content to spend a bit of time inside if the weather did close in. Hoping to get it down to Dartmoor later in the year 👍
I will have to say rich teas as im a boring bast#^d or a close 2nd as mr burton said coconut rings 😊 glad you had a good camp mate looked a nice place 👍
Hi, that's the Evernew 6.5inch titanium pan, and have been really pleased with it. You can get them from Tamarack outdoors or Ultralight Outdoor Gear. Unfortunately they're quite expensive, I was lucky enough to get mine in a sale. 👍
Cheers Tony, appreciate the feedback, I think the biscuit reviews are here to stay! As for the ginger nuts, I've no idea where that name comes from, damn fine dunkers though! 👍
Bob cat is a great little budget tent! If you want one for free, head over to Julie Phelan's brilliant posts, she's giving one away in a free draw. It's a no brainer and gotta be worth a punt for a free tent!?!?😊
Ha ha, depends if you're asking the tax inspector or not! I don't think they'd dunk too well, but I can make a pack of 12 disappear faster than you can say Jaffa Cake! 👍
Coconut rings from Aldi 👍👍👍 Not too much time for the dunk... literally just a millisecond dip, totally transforms the taste. 9/10
Yep I've had them too, really nice. I'd actually suggest that the coconut ring possibly works better with a coffee than a tea 👍
@barneysbimbles Not tried them with tea yet, I'm a coffee man mainly but will try later with a cup off gods finest and report back
Thanks walking to the shops now for coconut rings 😡🫡
@Treeclimbercartel86 Too f ing right you should be 🤣

@@barneysbimbles A pleasure Barney. Good to hear of the camp mate.
Very nice my friend😎
Cheers Herb, glad you enjoyed it 👍
Loved this wee adventure bobcat and a brompton 👌🚴♂️🏕 all the best ...colin.
Cheers Colin, glad you enjoyed it. Really impressed with the Bobcat, looking forward to taking it out again 👍
Deffo, keep the BBB in Barn... I'm just commenting as I go or I'll forget.
It'll also keep your engagement up 😂👍
Cheers Lee, I had a feeling BBB would be up your street 👍

Really enjoyed watching this. ❤
Thanks Oliver, glad you enjoyed it 👍
Sweat rags are so underrated 👍I have two of them for raving, just cotton bandannas but in a hot sweaty club they are a god send 👍
I never camp without at least two bandanas on me! Fact! 👍

Great tent mate, I've had my bobcat for a few years now, smashed it for all 4 seasons, albeit a bit stuffy in the summer months!

Which frying pan is that one, dude? Seems like a good little pan and a decent size too.
