I've been desperately looking for current content for Song and for Lannisters, so I'm glad that this is finally there. I do agree, that if you're talking over it, having the music on loop serves as a distraction in the long run. Part of the problem is that it's only sound, there are visuals or other things we're working with, so we're having to try and listen to one thing while ignoring another.
Hey! thanks for the comment. Great to hear you're enjoying the content. It's our aim to have one out per week, just to bring it all up to date and relevant to the changes. Thanks as well for the feedback on the background track, I'll have a play with the levels and see if i can make it work. We're so immersed in the editing side that sometimes we become used to it and it passes under the radar, so it's great to get constructive criticism and allow us the opportunity to tweak. Thanks!!
That is amazing to hear! The game is brilliant, from a tabletop wargaming (predominantly WHFB Background) i cannot play this game enough. I wish you all the best as you journey into the world of ASOIAF
Hey Sean! Thanks for the comment! We have been discussing lots of ideas, so keep them coming. Anything we like the sound of is a possibility. This idea has me hooked!
@@YecatsminiaturesGreat material. Watched a couple times and looking forward to the rest of the factions and your commanders and tactics breakdowns. Keep it up please
For the MM, the low morale is to either guarantee you fail morale with Gregor, getting wild charges, and you want crit blow base to actually get enough wounds in to trigger the panic test at all, it isn't backwards, it just plays to their strengths and not to a typical standard infantry unit. Also they use UA better than several other Lannister choices, even making less popular options actually valid, opening up list building. They aren't OP, and aren't obvious, but fill a role most units in the game don't, which is forcing you to look at your choices with a broader eye and can't be treated with the same perspective as more standard issue troops
Loved the video. Lannister is my primary faction so this was welcome. My only criticism is the “background” music is way to loud. It drowns out words no and then.
Thanks Kieth, We have taken some criticism for the sound level in this video. But it's something we've taken on board and worked with, hopefully we've now found the right balance. Thanks for checking the video!
I started out on Greyjoys as they are my favorite house in the lore, but waiting for them to get some much needed quality of life changes I have commandeered my wife's Lannister collection and I truly enjoy them, both how they play and how they look! I have yet to go positive with them in a tournament but I have won a lot of my casual games 😅
That's great. Casual games are a lot of fun and my favorite way of playing. Tournament gaming is a different bag, but still very enjoyable. Hopefully this series will help you climb the to the top! :) Just make sure you give us a shout out in your victory speech from the podium?
Great video! I recently picked up the A Song of Ice and Fire tabletop game several months ago, and Lannisters are the faction I chose. I'm also a part of the community in Mississauga! I had a question regarding Cersei Lannister, Queen Regent. If, when using her Playing the Game ability, you happen to control both the Crown and the Wealth spaces on the tactics board, could you search your deck/discard pile for a copy of both Hear Me Roar! and Subjugation of Power at the cost of only one of her order tokens?
That's great to hear. You've got some great players in the local area, and one of (if not the) longest committed House Lannister bannermen in Richard. Once you're settled into the game, I'd recommend checking out ASOIAF stats for local tournaments or check into some of your local stores and sign up for some in-store tournaments. You'll love it! Cersei does indeed pull both cards for one token if the Lannister player controls both the wealth and crown zone. As per her character in the book, Cersei is at her most influential and dangerous when she has the crown and the money in her sights. Also, fantastic to hear you're enjoying the content!
Very interesting and enjoyable! As a Baratheon main I’m looking forward to that set of episodes to rekindle my enthusiasm for the game following the very disappointing patch.
Great to see you here Rich and thanks for the comment! Great to hear you're enjoying the vid! We're planning on the Baratheon Breakdown to drop next and we'd love to get your feedback. Baratheon players are some of the most loyal to their faction in the game, even when they're struggling people find a way through. Although there have been some questionable changes, I do think they still have a game to play. But we'll leave that particular discussion to the Bara video. For now, i hope this video helps you lead your forces against the Warden of the West and regain your rightful place on the Iron Throne! :)
Thanks for the comment Curtis. We could happily sit and talk about asoiaf for 24 hours straight. So you’re in the right company! We’ll do what we can to sate your hunger :)
Hey Jesse! Great to see you here, always good to see formidable Lannister commanders commenting their thoughts. I agree Baelish is an extremely important weapon in the Lannister arsenal, but these are more just to explore the options available in the faction itself rather than the neutrals. That being said, we could definitely look to do some "neutrals in...... " episodes? Perhaps we could get you on at some point to talk about your balance patches? They're great reads
@@Yecatsminiatures As Neutrals are currently implemented, they are basically faction units and are only limited by the rule that they can only be half your army. I am actually in the process right now of a large update to my alternative balance. I would for sure be interested in talking about it once it is done.
Most armies, play better with NCU's. Lannisters have extremely good NCU's available to them, not to mention a decent tactics deck so it helps to run 3 where you can. But try some stuff out and see what happens. Let me know what your favourite combo is, if you find any gems
are casterly rock honor guard worth it with qyburn? on paper it seems pretty good to me. best case scenario is potentially burn a weakened token, you get vicious, sundering, hitting on 2's and cant be weakened back. 8 points worth? someone good at the game lmk lol
Hey Jeremy! Thanks for checking the video out and dropping us a comment! Interesting idea and I’d definitely encourage you to give it a try, mostly because I love the idea of Qyburn powering up the honour guard for Tywin. My main worry would be him dropping the armour save of an already expensive unit. You’d only need to run into a decent missile troop and they’ll become battlefield debris quite quickly, especially crossbows where their range sundering would drop it down a further point.
Why do asoiaf content creators put music under their videos. Great content nearly bearable because of the annoying music. There is no improvement in music under voice

Great break down really enjoyed this i just started buying into the game and im excited to play Greyjoy so hoping they get a video soon
Really pleased to hear you're enjoying the videos! Watch this space for Greyjoy! 😉🐙
Very interesting, thank you. Could you do a video with an overview of all the other factions and how to play against them?
Glad you found the video interesting, we have recorded some of the other factions already and we have plans for the rest! Watch this space

We need a mounted Tywin. Its hard for me to picture the lord of Casterly rock going into battle on foot.
I could sit for 24 hours straight and just listen to new and better ways to play asoiaf

I think Neutrals should have been discussed. Petyr Baelish is one of the best Lannister NCUs.

Brett's Lannister expert????!?!?! what's next, Tom Tyler with Neutrals?!?!? 🤭
I’ve heard they have hit a gem with the Greyjoy guy!
