Also I love the fact Joey did the rituals for the ceremony and also Chandler played the Dad role . Pheobe was looking absolutely Princess. Phoebe's wedding is a little better than Chandler and Monica's. Joey was well dressed and remembered everything. And Phoebe's dress was more beautiful than Monica's. Easily one of my favorite moments on the show. So happy for Phoebe. I just wish her brother Frank and the triplets were there for her. But look on the bright side. She got to marry Ant-Man! Who has an integral part in Avengers Endgame. One of the biggest superhero movies ever made!

Chandler knew that pheobe is finally gonna have a family of her own and is finally going to be happy 😊. He knew how much troubles and sad life she has had since childhood. He realised the pain of not having normal things and the happiness after having normal things so he and all the friends were way too happy in this wedding. I don't know why but pheobe's wedding literally showed every friend just way too happy even more than mondler wedding. I mean mondler wedding was gr8 but pheobe's was just perfection truly.

The fact that Chandler walked Phoebe down the aisle was just beautiful. We couldn't really see much of Phoebe and Chandler's friendship. She had more sweet moments with Ross and even more with Joey, but this scene was just special. And also, Chandler bonded with Monica and even with Rachel more given their history, but never really with Phoebe

But if you look at it she is one with the largest family. 2 moms and 2 dads ( one died), a twin sister, a step brother and sister, 2 nieces and 1 nephew, 1 grandma, 1 ex-husband (maybe 2, if she had a fake vegas wedding, we don't know), A hell lot of ex-es, 1 husband and 5 greatest Friends!

I understand what you mean. "Chandler" knows of Monica's past, understands her defense mechanisms and helps keep her in the "now", while helping her relax a bit. "Mike" loves Phoebe BECAUSE of her weirdness, even though his parents think she is not of their "social network". Also, Mike is a Knight In Shining Armor. He quickly whipped off his coat and put it on Phoebe when she said she was cold. They both have a sense of humour that is not too abrasive.
I always thought Mike was a more toned down version of Chandler actually. They both had rich parents and fucked up childhoods (Mike's parents are really uptight so I am making an assumption here and Chandler's folks are deeply self involved), both of them worked jobs they hated (Chandler did Statistical Analysis and Mike was an attorney) but later find their true passion. Both of them have a good sense of humor (Mike is slightly less sarcastic but he is still funny). Both were apprehensive about marriage (well Mike 'cos he was divorced and Chandler 'cos his parents were, but still). I always felt they were more alike in more ways than one.
I know some people will disagree, but I dont give AF. I think that this is the best wedding in pretty much every show that someone has got married in. They married in a beautiful setting, at a perfect time, and Phoebe didn't care whether or not she could possibly freeze to death because she loves Mike too much. Such a lovely couple.
Phoebe had the best wedding on the show . It may not be as fancy as the other weddings on the show but the fact that it was connected with so many emotions makes it beautiful. The venue is just perfect Bcuz phoebe had many memories on the streets . The person playing instrument was close to phoebe . And all of her friends got to play a special role . Rachel was a bridesmaid, Ross was a groomsman, Monica was maid of honor, Chandler played the role of a dad and Joey officiated the wedding. The way this scene is executed is just beautiful.

This is my favorite scene of all the shows I've ever watched. It is my favorite character Phoebe Buffay getting married. There're so many reasons for which I love Phoebe that I cannot enumerate them all. Just to name a few: she is so generous, even in her unemployed days she lent money to Monica so Monica could start a catering business; she is so considerate, letting Monica pursue the dream of being a head chef even when she promised Phoebe to carry on the already heavily invested catering business; she is so selfless, agreeing to be the surrogate for her half-brother even though she knew it's going to be hard to give up the babies, on top of being an abandoned chid herself; she is so supportive, helping Ross and Rachel get back together, helping Joey rehearse and learn French, naming one of the triplets after Chandler so he wouldn't be so down. She is truly the person with the greatest heart of all. For a long time, I became so obsessed with her that I even picked my significant others partially based on how they perceived Phoebe. That is why this scene matters so much to me. After all the traumas she'd been through (losing her mother to suicide, father running out on her, learning later that she was abandoned, living with a drug addict, having to beg for money, etc.), she never lost faith, nor the sight of the beautiful things in life. She determined to love life and finally Mike, the man that appreciates all the lovely weird parts of her, came along and decided to love her dearly. She in return healed his broken heart. Unlike all the other love fairytales, this is the only one that I believe would happen. That is why it's so important that they declare their love for each other in front of all the people that they care and care for them, and they vow to love each other forever.

The characters lives didn't end when the show ended if you think about it; they continued to live on in the world they exist in, meaning that Joey could have eventually found someone. They each would need to be with somebody more adultish in order to offset them.

Their childish personalities did give them something in common, yes, but it made them good friends, and not necessarily lovers. For all we know, they wouldn't be able to handle the more serious side of what it takes to make a romantic relationship work. In all of their own serious relationships with other people, their significant other was always the more mature one. Which does seem to signify Joey and Phoebe's own needs in looking for a suitable partner.
Of all the weddings in Friends (not often you get to say that) this one is by far my favourite. Phoebe's such a quirky girl, not to mention beautiful and so deserving of all the happiness she can get. Her vows make me cry every time...

Phoebe was often written as the uncool weirdo in the show for comedic value etc., but in fact she has a very beautiful personality that was only constantly overshadowed with the obsession of Rachel and Monica etc. She is really underappreciated and this wedding was more or less the effort to finally fix that issue.
I love that Chandler walked Phoebe down....their friendship was so downplayed even though they had some very special moments together. And I also love that each of the FRIENDS had a special part to play in her wedding.

They both had rich parents and fucked up childhoods (Mike's parents are really uptight so I am making an assumption here and Chandler's folks are deeply self involved), both of them worked jobs they hated (Chandler did Statistical Analysis and Mike was an attorney) but later find their true passion. Both of them have a good sense of humor (Mike is slightly less sarcastic but he is still funny). Both were apprehensive about marriage (well Mike 'cos he was divorced and Chandler 'cos his parents were, but still). I always felt they were more alike in more ways than one.
I Just love how Chandler looks at phoebe just like a dad he just looks so proud of her it makes me cry everytime

I know some people will disagree, but I dont give AF. I think that this is the best wedding in pretty much every show that someone has got married in. They married in a beautiful setting, at a perfect time, and Phoebe didn't care whether or not she could possibly freeze to death because she loves Mike too much. Such a lovely couple.

Phoebe had the best wedding on the show . It may not be as fancy as the other weddings on the show but the fact that it was connected with so many emotions makes it beautiful. The venue is just perfect Bcuz phoebe had many memories on the streets . The person playing instrument was close to phoebe . And all of her friends got to play a special role . Rachel was a bridesmaid, Ross was a groomsman, Monica was maid of honor, Chandler played the role of a dad and Joey officiated the wedding. The way this scene is executed is just beautiful.

This is my favorite scene of all the shows I've ever watched. It is my favorite character Phoebe Buffay getting married.
There're so many reasons for which I love Phoebe that I cannot enumerate them all. Just to name a few: she is so generous, even in her unemployed days she lent money to Monica so Monica could start a catering business; she is so considerate, letting Monica pursue the dream of being a head chef even when she promised Phoebe to carry on the already heavily invested catering business; she is so selfless, agreeing to be the surrogate for her half-brother even though she knew it's going to be hard to give up the babies, on top of being an abandoned chid herself; she is so supportive, helping Ross and Rachel get back together, helping Joey rehearse and learn French, naming one of the triplets after Chandler so he wouldn't be so down. She is truly the person with the greatest heart of all.
For a long time, I became so obsessed with her that I even picked my significant others partially based on how they perceived Phoebe. That is why this scene matters so much to me. After all the traumas she'd been through (losing her mother to suicide, father running out on her, learning later that she was abandoned, living with a drug addict, having to beg for money, etc.), she never lost faith, nor the sight of the beautiful things in life. She determined to love life and finally Mike, the man that appreciates all the lovely weird parts of her, came along and decided to love her dearly. She in return healed his broken heart. Unlike all the other love fairytales, this is the only one that I believe would happen. That is why it's so important that they declare their love for each other in front of all the people that they care and care for them, and they vow to love each other forever.

The characters lives didn't end when the show ended if you think about it; they continued to live on in the world they exist in, meaning that Joey could have eventually found someone. And even if he didn't, its certainly not the end of the world. And I don't think Joey and Phoebe were meant to be, they were both too childish for each other. They each would need to be with somebody more adultish in order to offset them.

And as I recall of The One with the Red Sweater episode, Joey purposed to Phoebe with a ring and Phoebe was actually willing to marry Joey. So I still think Joey and Phoebe would made a nice married couple.
***** If Joey/Phoebe are your preferred couple, then more power to you. :) I used to like them together, but now I don't think, realistically, it would have worked out. Their childish personalities did give them something in common, yes, but it made them good friends, and not necessarily lovers. True, Phoebe was always hitting on Joey, and they've shared more than one kiss together, but that always seemed more like adolescent flirting. For all we know, they wouldn't be able to handle the more serious side of what it takes to make a romantic relationship work. In all of their own serious relationships with other people, their significant other was always the more mature one. Which does seem to signify Joey and Phoebe's own needs in looking for a suitable partner.
Of all the weddings in Friends (not often you get to say that) this one is by far my favourite. Phoebe's such a quirky girl, not to mention beautiful and so deserving of all the happiness she can get. Her vows make me cry every time...

Phoebe was often written as the uncool weirdo in the show for comedic value etc., but in fact she has a very beautiful personality that was only constantly overshadowed with the obsession of Rachel and Monica etc. She is really underappreciated and this wedding was more or less the effort to finally fix that issue.
