- Make fitment adjustments first as the use of pliers may mark the metal. Once the scrolls are tight but can slide on the post nicely move on to polishing.
Stay aware of the delicacy while polishing. Its a very light polishing job only.
If working in white gold the scrolls should be rhodium plated to finish. Plating will likely change the feel and the scrolls will need another small adjustment to work as before.

i like this vid quite a lot actually despite not really learning anything new, its extremely important to adjust the backs to the posts so its not too loose or too tight as major problems can occur from both cases. the companies jus throw the tightly made backs in the tumbler and send em out right away, so they need to be adjusted and lightly polished to be made usable. not sure why the post divit was left out but thats a very important part as well to make sure the back has a place to sit and click in properly on the post.
