In California, If you are UNDER 21 years old, you cannot have any alcohol in the car with you, open or unopened (except for a few exceptions). If you are 21 or over, you can have UNOPENED bottles in the car with you, but any OPEN bottles need to be out of the reach of passengers - like in the trunk (there are also a few exceptions to this rule). Hope that helps!

If you are under 21, there is "Zero Tolerance", which means that any amount of alcohol in your system is illegal if under 21 . @rikinishu is 100% correct: "under 21 is 0.01% but 21 and over is 0.08%" Thanks!!

I have a question im taking my permit next week I need to know what do I mainly need to know on the test for tennessee I want to pass the first time
For the blood alcohol concentration question, i was taught that it’s 0.08% for Cal, what’s the difference between 0.01% and 0.08%
Great question! The age is what makes a difference for Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) Limits:
• BAC of 0.08% or higher, if the person is ** 21 years old or older **
• BAC of 0.01% or higher, if the person is ** under 21 years old **
Here's the complete BAC limit breakdown:
BAC of 0.08% or higher, if the person is 21 years old or older.
BAC of 0.01% or higher, if the person is under 21 years old.
BAC of 0.01% or higher at any age, if the person is on a DUI probation.
BAC of 0.04% or higher, in any vehicle requiring a CDL-with or without a CDL issued to the driver.
BAC of 0.04% or higher, when a passenger for hire is in the vehicle at the time of the offense.
I’d prolly say about 0.07%
❤thank you
You're welcome!
Gracias!!
De nada!!
This for new Jersey
