    I heard players are purposely tanking there performance to go lower in the draft that way it’s more accessible for the spurs to pick ‘em up during draft night. The Wenbanyama effect is real

    I think the Spurs should keep 4 and 8. It's too good an opportunity to get lottery level talent to geow with Wemby. I'm hoping for any of Castle, Sheppard, and Risacher at 4 and any of Carter, Knecht, Salaun at 8. Sure there's not a sure fire superstar in this years draft but there's still a lot of talent. Several guys look like high level role players at least.

    I’ll wait on drafting Risacher and Butzelis next yr draft has Copper Flagg better player and same position Sheppard would be ideal great shooter floor space for Wemby and Castle or Cater at 8 is fine also wouldn’t mind another big

      They would have to trade up to get both… And knowing very well both frenchmen Risacher & Salaun I’d much rather have the Spurs get Castle at #4 and Salaun at #8. Sounds also a lot more realistic to me tbh

    I would not necessarily have the same picks as you but I wouldn’t be that mad if the Spurs do that…
    Great arguments I agree with you on the reasons for your picks.
    That being said I strongly believe that Castle will turn out to be the real 2-way superstar out of this draft, a bit similar as Kawhi did, being drafted as a locked down defender first and over the years became an offensive threat. His Bball IQ is what gives me confidence in his capacities to achieve this. So I’d pick him at #4.
    For #8 I wouldn’t pass on the incredible potential Tidjane Salaun has, athletically he’s a freak of nature, if everything goes well he could turn into a Giannis that’s how high his ceiling is… Right now though he’s still very raw so you’re just drafting him on potential but he has all the attributes (his mental especially, he’s a dog). Worst case scenario he’ll turn into an Aaron Gordon I believe so not that bad anyway..

    Alien in the Mask... Great Video. And just my opinion but with this much uncertainty in this draft ... Why not combine out picks in both rounds just to get who we really want.... 4 and 8 for Sarr, Risacher Reed.... And our second round picks for any shooter with upside like Pacome Dadiet... Or whoeveer

    I don't think that the Spurs can afford to pass up on Nikola Topic at 8, he's probably getting drafted in the 7-10 range so if he's there at 8 you just take him. If not I don't mind Cody Williams, it's likely that the Grizzlies would grab him at 9, although I like Ron Holland better regardless of fit but just potential wise on my own big board. Sheppard comes down to what the Hawks and Rockets end up doing, I don't rule out the Wizards drafting Clingan either if the Hawks decide to go with Sarr, all top 3 teams worked him out.
    The 4th pick will be determined by the course of the draft, if Sarr, Risacher and Sheppard are gone it might not be a bad idea to trade the pick or to draft and trade Clingan. I would personally reach for Holland at 4, I'm a bit more positive on him than on Buzelis, although Buzelis and Topic would still turn out fine I think. I could see Castle getting drafted at 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 if Sarr goes 1, so if the Spurs pass up on him at 4 to go best player available and highest ceiling (which again I think is Holland in that range over Castle), then Castle could really fall down and still be available at 8, in which case it questions the Topic pick at 8. At that point I would probably go with Castle, because he's healthy, ready to play now and it looks like he's more capable to stretch the floor then most people think, that's also why he's be shot up in draft boards.
    You could really toss up a coin between Castle and Topic, I really believe that they're that close regarding long term projections of their games, depending on where they both get drafted. Neither of them are falling past the Jazz and it's actually the situation that I like the best for Topic or Castle other than the Spurs. Topic healthy was a lock in the top 5, Wizards might have even considered him at 2. People don't realize how special Nikola Topic is and what he's done in Serbia at 18 years old.
    Holland is also getting slept on.

    Risacher and Topič are the perfect fits around Wemby. Both of them are already playing ball in Europe so they already have pro level experience. Also trading Sochan for a PG like Fred van Vleet would be a good move.

    If Hawk gets Clingan at 1, Wizard gets Sarr at 2, Rocket gets Reed at 3, than Risacher available at 4 is a no-brainer choice.
    If we really want Castle after getting Risacher,
    Maybe make a trade with Hornet is a bold choice.
    Hornet gets: No.8 pick + 2025 Hornet's pick back + Zach
    Spur gets: No.6 pick + Micic
    Piston won't pick Castle.
    They have to extend Cade's contract for Max.
    Hornet gets their 2025 1rd back and a backup center good at high post.
    Spur gets Castle at 6 and Micic for backup PG if Tre opts out next year.
    Castle - Vassell - Risacher - Sochan - Wemby would be a very morden style team for sure.

      Thanks for your message!!!
      2025 Hornet's 1rd pick will be lottery protected.
      Do you think how many chances it will convert?
      IMO it's almost two 2rd picks.
      It'll valuable only when we make a trade and give it back to them.
      Clingan is good, but we have Wemby.
      I hope we can ALL IN for next year's Nolan Traore, but Castle is still a good addition for us.

    There's a real chance the Spurs could actually get Risacher AND Dillingham.
    The Spurs SHOULD trade #4, Collins and #48 to move up to maybe #2 or #1 if possible. Pick Risacher.
    They should then trade #8, Keldon Johnson, Trae Jones and Devonte Graham for Lonzo Ball Alex Caruso(well, Ayo D instead now that Caruso got traded) and #11.
    Use #11 to pick Dillingham.
    Then sign Isiah Hartinstien, Bol Bol, Drummond and Nic Batum .
    Backcourt becomes elite with 6'6 Ball and 6'5 Carruso(Ayo), 6'5 Vessel, 6'3 Dillingham
    Elite size, elite defense, elite passing, excellent shooting and spacing.
    Super sized, super versatile frontcourt
    7'4 Wemby, 7' Hartinstien, 7'3 Bol, 6'11 Drummond, 6'8 Batum, 6'8 Sochon, 6'9 Risacher , 6'8 Osman
    This team is a legit playoff contender with depth. It would have elite level defense. Shooting at every position. It fits the cap. Enough core remains to have good chemistry. The players fit the style of play Pop likes.
    The gamble is Ball's feet/ankles. If he can be 90-100% by Feb the gamble pays off. This is somewhat less of a gamble than picking a 19-20yo rookie without NBA experience. Ball says he's about 70% now which means he's likely closer to 50-60%. He could be 70%-75% by training camp and 90%-95% by Jan. Ball was an elite player before the injury. Ball and Caruso made up one of the best backcourts in the league before the injury. They had the Bulls humming towards real playoff contention. Together, they played elite defense. With Wemby that defense gets exponentially better. They shot the ball well too. Add Dillingham and Vessel and it's a deep, versatile, extremely complimentary to Wemby backcourt.
    Bol Bol is very underrated. Grouped with Wemby,Hartinstien and Drummond, he becomes the best version of himself. 7'3 with most of the attributes of Wemby but less drive and confidence. With Wemby he pushes harder to be his best(I believe). Regardless, it gives a great, versatile C/PF group(Wemby and Bol could potentially even play SF for short spurts).
    Vet Batum, Osman can tutor Risacher and Sochon while putting up solid minutes.
    This Spurs team could become better than the Giannis Bucks team that won the Chip within a couple years.

      @cortezfernandez7475 4 месяца назад

      @jack.charlesc4750 Ok, OKC obviously see what I do in Carruso! They just traded to get him. Bol Bol is very similar to Wemby in size and skillsetl but without the drive, confidence and COMPETITIVENESS of Wemby.
      Drummond...well he still is an excellent rebounder with size to keep opposing bulky centers from bullying Wemby. He's worth 10 quality minutes per game

    • @kayvee7541
      @kayvee7541 3 месяца назад

      I would take Lonzo but only on the cheap. 2 picks and thats it. Popovich is the king of managing minutes for players. Lonzo would be great with the Spurs if he gets his old self back.

    • @cortezfernandez7475
      @cortezfernandez7475 3 месяца назад

      @@kayvee7541I wouldn't trade 2 first round picks for Lonzo. I'd trade Trae Jones and Keldon Johnson (to make the salaries work)along with a switch of #8 for #11, and Ayo Dosunmu. Maybe throw in the #48. Ayo is underrated. He shoots the ball well, defends very well and can play either guard position. The backcourt of Ball, Ayo, Vassel and Dillingham would be deep, young, and elite.

    • @cortezfernandez7475
      @cortezfernandez7475 3 месяца назад

      @@jack.charlesc4750OKC obviously loved Caruso.
      Bol Bol is 7'3, can hit the 3, has an inside and face up game and moves his feet on defense and blocks shots. He is indeed a poor man's Wemby.
      Drummond is an excellent rebounder but if the Spurs get Sarr instead of Risacher there's no need for Drummond even on the vet minimum
