    New subscriber here. I love this. We really don't get the use out of a sergers that we should. Didn't realise it could cut through a zip like that. Excellent tutorial and easy to follow ❤

      I am looking to buy a overlocker. Not a air overlocker. But one that very easy to thread. I bought the cheapest pfaff one I sent back. I could not for life me thread one of them it was so difficult for me. 3 thread where easy last one a nightmare. . Anyone know a beginner easy threading. Overlocker , Not to expense overlocker ?

    I was struggling so much with threading my new overlock serger. I followed the instructions that came with the machine over and over again, but the stitches never turned out right. I was just about ready to give up when I tried your suggestion to move the knife out of the way before threading and it was the absolute key! I was so excited to finally be able to successfully thread my serger and produce perfect stitches!! Despite watching many, many videos and reading multiple tips from experts, I never saw that suggestion anywhere. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom!

    My first overlocker arrives tomorrow, and I'm now ready to go for the bits and bobs bag :). I never knew how to make a lined bag before, so very appreciative of the instruction. I only watched this because I'd already watched your Jaguar review (which I'm buying), and was interested in any differences of the Lidl Singer (that I missed out on). By the time you got to the end I'd completely forgotton this was a Singer performance video, until I re-read the title. Had never registered until now that overlockers can't do corners...I've saved this video to make sure I can find it again!

    • @AbisDen
      @AbisDen  Год назад +1

      The serger doesn’t create a stronger stitch, per say, but it is a strong stitch. I have made tight stretch wear, jeans, stuffed toys 🧸 and the stitch doesn’t pop or expose itself. So it works well with the correct settings x

    Love this cute purse. Great Christmas project too. I've just learnt to thread my serger so am
    looking forward to being creative with it. If I use a printed lining fabric which way on first step would I have to lay it over zip. Thanks for your help. Christine.

    Looks. Great! Did you know you can disengage the knife so that it isn't able to cut? Check your instruction book it's usually very easy to do. Thanks for a great idea 😊

    Nice tutorial. I have an overkocker and always have thread and needle issues. I don't use right needle for right fabric i guess. New subscriber is me 😁

    Thank you for this project it was very easy to follow. One thing - when I was taught to sew - over 60 yrs ago I was told NEVER to knot thread when starting to hand sew. This is obviously something from the past as I see Debbie Shaw doing it all the time👎🏻

    Hi Abi, I’ve recently discovered your channel and love it. I notice you just cut the ends off at each side . Would the stitching not come undone ?

    Where can I but extra presser feet for a Brother M343D please or are the overlocker presser feet universal for all Brother overlockers?

      All brother Overlockers are the same. The 1034 series of feet fit all. If you’re in the uk ask fabric mouse and use code Abisden for a discount

    I love your tutorials and have been recommending them to my sewing group friends here in Ireland. If using a patterned fabric for the lining, is it face up or face down?
