I see this is very well elaborated, it has elements of 70;s disco, electronica and even new wave... but I don't see the italo elements here...maybe too well elaborated to be italo
exactly this is Italo - a fusion of many things, the beginning of the new music. True italo is underground music - the sleazy music companies just kidnapped the name because everything Italian was high-fashion in the 80s and they used it to market tons of shit. This is one of the best examples of real italo music played by the real italo DJs. Listen to Intergalactic FM to understand what real italo is.
As one well-known Italo Disco singer/artist once said, it was like a competition between the music companies to get the #1 hit, so a ton of stuff was put out -- not all of it good.
Very true I am picky when it comes to Italo synth. This is a masterpiece the fusion of sounds and gorgious synths. There allot of dross within the genre but I personally prefer and hunt for tracks from 79 to 83. 85 being the absolute limit. Instrumentals preffered some vocals tolerated Not keen on sampling. Also keep an ear out for baroque music patterns, geometry in composition. Also production quality layering and the space. My most fave years being 80 82 when there were real individual sounds and synth.

EMMEGI had a lot of special ITALO DISCO tunes in their repertoire like "Computer Monkey" / J.M.BAND and "Brother Martin" / FLOWBERT. Worth to hear!
