    I think many reviewer forget to mention one thing is that if you don't use AC, make sure you turn off the AC switch. Otherwise, the built-in inverter will consume around 15% battery per day, which is normal for inverter but I am sure you want to save that energy.

    That is a great piece of kit for anyone needing power off grid. Pretty handy as well when we had all these storms with power outages. We might be seeing a lot more power outages in the coming months so with one of these and some solar panels you're all set and can still watch tv, have computer on etc, Great review.

    I love the Delta MaxFlow 2000, and I’m looking to get another one because my home electric bill went from $150 in summer to $10, and $350-$480 in winter (depending how many cold months) to no more than $45 usd. Having the solar panel are great, trick is if you have those solar heating sky lights, put your panels in windows and the sun amplifies in mountain regions. Excellent video 👍 subscribed 👍🛎

    Remember if you fan cooker is on for 20 minutes when it has reached temperature it starts to turn on and off to keep an even temperature so the heater may only be on for 10 minutes. Also when running the whole van off it make sure you turn off the battery charger on the Sargent unit or it will be charging your leisure battery.

    Looks perfect for you guys, could only dream of getting a powerbank for our van. We're still saving up to get solar panel installed so we can venture into offgrid for more than an overnight. Smaller size would be perfect for us.

    To be honest I haven’t watched this one as it’s another powerbank video BUT I do have the smaller EcoFlow River and it is a fantastic little powerbank, really happy with the build quality, packaging and the battery life and what the thing can power so if this is a bigger better one then it’s going to be good!

    The amps aren't lower, the unit will only draw what it wants, whilst most house ring mains are 30 amps a standard plug has a 13mp fuse in so it can't draw more than 13 amps or the plug fuse will blow Pretty sure on Low charge mode you could be charging it up using your cigarette lighter in the van whilst driving, get a folding solar panel for when you are parked up, i'm definitely looking at buying one of these for my camper, real game changer, marvellous!

    12:30 fast charge only works if you are using a suitable cable and if the device can accept the additional charge your phone was most likely too hot/too fully charged or could not communicate to the charger that it was ready for the full 5v

    Excellent bit of kit, yep price is a lot but then you are getting a lot for your money. Think the diesel heater low wattage use is because its only having to power the fans and control panel while the diesel does the heating bit. Will be interesting to see how much power you can get back in on 12V when driving around.

    Good review Dan but I noticed your comment of 800 cycles which sounds somewhat low. I’m guessing it has Lith-ion or LiFePO4 battery cells inside but almost all of these offer 3000 to 5000 cycles.

    • @TravelTrollsTV
      @TravelTrollsTV  2 года назад +1

      No these power banks don't offer LiFePO4 yet. Its a NCM (Lithium, Nickel, Cobalt and Manganese) battery. 800 cycles for a power station is very good. You are comparing it to a lithium leisure battery which is a different thing all together. I will be discussing them this week.

    Great review as ever. As an electrician, your understanding (or otherwise) of domestic electrical supplies is a little amusing!
    Amps are not 'given" to a device, they're "taken" by the device. But that makes it a more real life review! Marvelous 👍❤️

  • @peterorrill
    @peterorrill 2 года назад +1

    If it was charging through solar 24/7 when sun is out ! how would it affect the 800 recharge ,my thought is to wire it to the hookup plug with a isolater for when on shore power

  • @welshpitbikes
    @welshpitbikes 2 года назад +1

    Your phone has its own management system and if your phone battery is getting warm as you have been charging it previously it will change its draw dynamically from the charger.
    Also nearly every domestic appliance has a 13amp fuse so your reference to being better able to charge might need checking..
    Also the estimated time left it the battery never keeps linear to the actual time elapsed.
    It may show 2hrs left but after an only an hour it will probably show much less than the remaining hour you expected.
    The power left estimation is very rarely linear they are dynamic.
    I would be very cautious of drawing high wattages (over 2kw) from portable power supplies

  • @marklang7029
    @marklang7029 Год назад

    The diesel heater only surges when the glow plugs are on initially (this is why you're having problems with your standard leisure battery's ) once running the heater doesn't consume much power ,it's only running fans remember 🙂

    a few factors here with the phone thing
    1 when a battery is nearly charged i.e 90% it goes from constant current to constant voltage ( lowers the current until the batery is full.
    2 Watts arnt pushed into a battery rather sucked in from the phone Battery, so if all your phone battery can draw from the charger is 10 Watts then it doesnt matter how many watts the charger can produce it will always be 10watts.
    Hope that makes sense.

    Hi in the Uk we could experience blackouts soon. I'm looking for a portable power station to plug in my Mac mini M1 & monitor. Is it possible to have the computer permanently plugged in to a portable power station, and have the portable power station permanently on charge (only when I'm using the computer) so that if we get a blackout my computer will remain unaffected or at least until the portable power station runs out? I already have my Mac mini set up to automatically transfer from home wifi to 5g if the wifi goes down. If it is could you recommend a portable power bank please? Hope you don't mind me posting this on your page but I have no clue where to start. Thank you.

    your iphone can not accept "fast charge".
    usb 3.0 (blue ports) fast charge depends on a more demanding phone/tablet and a fast charge cable, not or!.
    more demanding phones are capable of charging at 20v/3.25 amps (66watts)
    my Huawei Mate 20X 5G accepts supercharge at 5v/5amps 40 watts
    newest Samsung devices are super fast charge around 15 watts to 45 watts, a bit late for 2022.
    we've had super fast charge 40 Watts since 2018 on huawei devices, only with original authentic plugs and original authentic huawei cables.

    I SHOULD of bought TWO of those that would give me 4000w joined. I have bought the Delta Pro 3600w. oh the lead you dont know what it is? its a solar lead I snapped mine by stupidly standing on it. My 3600w takes 1.9 hours to charge. not sure if you have solar panels Oystade solar panel are £165. fit in my window screen where I leave it when I am driving and still see my wiper blades. it does say 100% the text just goes smaller. too funny. ECOFLOW are the leader in electric generators. winter I can charge mine at a EV station at 1.7 hours lasts about 18 years. Get the app use your phone to turn on off and control the ecoflow. I have a hook up adapter that came with my Auto trial scout 06 plate that just hooks into the electric port you have out side then plug it into the front of the English 3 pin socket and thats it it runs your van. I am out today to but a double hook up 1ft long, one for hook at camp site the other for my ecoflow to charge the van wish I could send you pics to show how simple the set up is. I also have 2x 1000w Jackery's in case I need the ecoflow charging up till I find a EV station. Thanks for sharing Ray K UK. YNWA.
