    Such a shame that Jackery doesn’t recognize that all companies should stand ready to hear all opinions, so they can make good changes and stay competitive. As I was researching, I noticed another company responded correctly when another reviewer noted some cons. The CEO recorded a short video stating that he appreciated the honest review and planned to get busy making improvements to assure the customer that they are interested in what the customer actually wants. A good opportunity for growth! ☺️

      Hey, just an honest question why were you going to buy the Jacory to begin with if you have done your research? Or maybe you’re saying that you didn’t because of doing your research. But the Jacory is clearly inferior and I don’t know why they don’t just bring their product up the specs Every time I see a video and Somers got a Jacory and it used it not a review video but some of it on to Jackie I think why did they buy that? Why did they buy an Eco flow or a blue Eddie.

    One correction, if you plug into wall AND solar, the Jackery does not increase charging voltage. You are still getting 800 watts max, tho it will favor the solar over the AC input.

    Good to know about the kind of company Jackery is, not that i would have ever bought any of their products simply because they continue to use the 20+ year old battery technology (because it offers a higher profit margin). Eco Flow has "seen the light" and are switching most of their product line over to LiFePO4, which is great for the consumer. Thanks for your honesty and going out of your way to talk about the positive things the Jackery has to offer. I hope your station prospers in the future!

I own a Jackery with panels and I like it ...but I don't LOVE it because frankly there are simply better more robust better bang for your buck products out there now. I was recently in the market for another solar battery and although I would have preferred to go with a Jackery because I already HAVE their expensive solar panels, when I compared my options , I STILL decided to suck it up and go with the ecoflow delta2 .

    I was a Jackery fanboy until my 2yr warranty ran out and just 3 months later my 1000 Explorer decided to just turn itself off and won't turn back on. It was fully charged when I plugged in my 37 qrt ARB fridge to ready for a camping trip. An hour later the unit had turned off and no amount of resets, attempted charging, etc.... it won't turn on.
    I contacted Jackery to see if there is any after warranty support in the way of a repair facility that I could ship it to and have it repaired (on my dime). Nope, and doesn't look like they plan to bother. So, now I am holding a very lightly used pretty $1000 brick.
    A five year warranty would have sufficed at this point as newer technology would most likely be available by then and worth an upgrade regardless if my Jackery was still running or not.
    Currently chatting with other brands (including EcoFlow) regarding after warranty product support.
    Wish me luck!

    • @insaynbcr
      @insaynbcr Год назад +1

      @@joeglennaz Honestly, I hadn't heard of EcoFlow 2+ years ago. Jackery did an absolute brilliant move by jamming their products into every RUclips channel that could possibly use a power unit like these. EcoFlow popped up later on in RUclips channels, but I feel that they are still more selective as to who they sponsor on RUclips.
      Had EcoFlow been in my crosshairs in the beginning, and I were to do a cross compare between the two (and other) companies, Jackery would not have been so lucky with my money. I got 2 years, and a few months out of it before it decided to never turn back on. And after Jackery basically telling me to go kick rocks, I will not promote their product to anyone. I learned my lesson, and it only took one time.
      Hopefully others that read this, heed my advice.

      Short answer - maybe. First you would want to know how many watts your fridge pulls at startup (surge) and then running. A simple watt meter from Amazon (about $15) can tell you that. Just for an example I will use my fridge - full size, about 10 years old, standard model with freezer on top. Surge at startup is about 600 watts, running is about 110 watts. You also have to remember that a fridge does not run constantly - it shuts down when it's cold enough and only runs when it needs to. With the Ecoflow 2, I could probably stretch my fridge run time for 24 hours with a little planning - being smart and only opening it when I have too. Now if you have a 5 year old that likes to stand there 20 minutes with the door open deciding what they want it would drastically cut that time down. With enough solar panels (and sun) to recharge the Ecoflow you could repeat that every day.

    • @larryc1616
      @larryc1616 Год назад

      Yes you can easily since avg fridge only uses 100w so about 20 hours continuously or longer if it cycles on/off

    I recently bought a delta 2 and got some free solar panels when I was buying a smart panel for a job. Love it so far, have used it to run an Iceco AC/DC fridge in our Jeep, boat and bus. I have also used it to recharge some large 8 d batts and batts in diesel trucks as well as some weekends on the boat keeping 2 small fridges running. It’s nice to not worry about spoiled food or ice for drinks when it’s over 100 degrees, it charges quickly and Works great. the iPhone app… amazingly adjustable and is more useful then you would think .

    It seems Jackery now has a 1000 plus with LIPO4 battery, expandable, 4000 cycles and an app. It is too bad they don't want people saying anything negative. I have a Jackery 1000 Explorer which I use a lot in my motor home.

    Sorry I'm a little late in commenting. THANK YOU, for your transparency and honesty. So refreshing to see an upfront and honest evaluation. I recently purchased a an Ecoflow Delta 2, very impressed with it. I purchased it so I can power a portable refrigerator/cooler and charge personal devices, while camping. I decided on this unit as it has more than enough capacity to last several days without charging. Thanks again, from a new subscriber, looking forward to watching your other videos.

    To all potential buyers, please avoid buying Ecoflow products. I recently cancelled my 2 orders of Ecoflow Delta 2. They are refusing to refund me. I've never received the products since they have recalled the shipment. They took away my $2,600 . Custoemr service are not responding at all. Please avoid Ecoflow products!

    This is the perfect example of ‘’if you are willing to pay the same amount of money, you will get things made in China better than made in US”. I love how people shit on Made in China stuff when they ordered some 2 dollars product on Wish, the product was probably made by some Chinese kid as homework project. LOL

    Just the fact that EcoFlow uses LFP is enough for me to make the decision. Another thing is that I have the choice to use whatever solar panel with the EcoFlow units but not with Jackery. In conclusion, EcoFlow units are by far a better product.

    That settles it. Going with EcoFlow. Lost respect for Jackery for trying to moderate your content. Will be forwarding to would-be buyers.

    The fact that Jackery is limiting free flow of opinions about their products is horrible! I wonder what they thought about you revealing their sneaky ways on this video!

    So Jackery wanted you to make a commercial for the price of two solar panels, when they would have to pay an advertising agency thousands for a professional commercial. I don't think I'd want to do business with a company that tries to do everything on the cheap.

    I can't see doing businesses with Jackery they don't seem to be an honest company. Eco flow seems solid up until you have to download an app on your phone to even use the entire suit of features they have. What on earth is that about? If you have those features, build them into the control panel and stay out of peoples phones. Phones break, they get upgraded, people switch phones. A phone is not a remote control it's a phone. Also there is the obvious risk of data harvesting. Any company pushing an app could be sharing data with who knows who. Data about your power consumption, location, and God only knows what else. So very bad move by Ecoflow there, very sketchy.

    Jackery is ok. It's like competition with cell phones. Some cell phone are more up to date than others. Same with batteries. Stay honest. I don't like a paid off system. We see that in Congress and big corp business. Thank you

    Thank you for your honest opinion.
    I had been looking at a few backup battery systems and came across the EcoFlow Delta 2 and was sold for the LiPo4 battery. One thing that you didn't cover or mention is that the EcoFlow Delta 2 has an EPS (emergency power system), though not a true UPS, but after the lost of power it will switch over to the EPS in 30ms and for what I wanted, it was perfect. I have it connected to my pellet stove and wanted to be sure that it was running in the event that we lost power while we slept or out and about. Winters in New Hampshire is unforgiving at times.
    Purchased the EcoFlow DELTA 2 and the EcoFlow DELTA 2 Smart Extra Battery and worked as it should.
