That warranty has to be industry leading. For that price I think I could live with a few scratchy plastics too. Can't wait to see the full review when you get one on Irish roads.
Definitely a car I will test drive..love the design and size.
I wish KGM success. Hyundai & Kia have blossomed, I'd like to see Korea's #3 manufacturer do the same.
Welcome to İstanbul great city to test a car like this...
I like the sound of this! Big practical boot! Big warranties for piece of mind! Decent battery and range! Lots of mod cons! Looks grand! And not completely silly money! Love it.
Different yet somewhat familiar styling. Green is definitely the winner in colours on that IMO.
i also like da green
I would buy this, this warranty is really good! ❤
They need the following in my opinion to get this vehicle out there to a mass audience in Ireland…
1. Long term review opportunities to reviewers such as Derek
2. Brand ambassadors driving them
3. Very low rate or 0% finance
5. A 24/48 hour test drive option for people to get comfortable
Wow! That is an amazing EV for the money! Big enough battery (anything above 80 kWh is an overkill, in my opinion, cause it’s a deadweight carried around on a daily basis), bidirectional charging, huge space, and mind blowing warranty. Just wow. I’ll put the car on the list when time comes to replace my ID4
do you work for KGM?
@@tooltalkno, but if they are reading it and decide to present me with the car, I will like it even more 😂
@@tooltalkjokes aside, the competition for a reasonably big SUV with big enough battery not made in China and with ok price tag (€40000 would be just perfect) is slim, to put it mildly
Beautiful and Solid EV 🚗
Great vid and it looks like it mit be a great SUV with all the space in side and boot. Just one thing can you say it in miles as well as km cheers plus like the white one.
Its good cheers mate
Hello from Turkey me and father bought waiting delivery
This is the stuff we get but not the affordable A and B segment Chinese EVs?
Firstly, it’s Korean anyway and if you’re encouraging the import of Chinese EVs to Europe then more fool you.
What is the DC peak speed? Not mentioned in the video.
Do we know Euro NCAP yet?
Is there two or three Isofix? Korean cars normally have two which is a negative vs other brands
Unlimited mechanical warranty for how long? 10 years same as battery?
Battery warranty is for what remaining capacity?
700L boot measured up to parcel shelf only like most car stats or for the full boot? Need to compare like for like.
Looks to be a serious option if some of the specific details can be clarified. A used one will be a bargain. Three years old after a PCP with 7 year warranty remaining on battery and an unlimited mechanical warranty for the same 7 years (TBC)!
PERFECT CAR
Its lovely inside. Not sure on the outside. 😊
merhaba İstanbul a hoşgeldiniz. renk iron metal mi yoksa platinum gray mi acaba .teşekkürler.
With BYD battery and underpinning that boot and the warrenty it is worth a look. Interesting.
Thanks
Des
will the DC charger actually reach the charging port?
Morning mate
Seems interesting. Will it have an app for remote climate control and charging?
I would say the depreciation on these will be massive. Could be great fleet job with the decent battery and charging speed.
Marmite looks, not a fan. but a grand size bus.
Any colour you want as long as it's a shade of grey
Ah the green is nice!
Looking forward to a coast to coast to see the actual real world range. What's the DC charging speed?
Me too! Max 146kW DC
Hi Derek, when will we see your review of the Torres on Irish roads? Not much out there yet in terms of reviews across Europe
Soon hopefully. They are in the country with some KGM dealers
Yes, I went out to have a look. Looking forward to seen your in-country review 👍
From the front it has a Jeep look, side on, last gen Range Rover Vogue.
Not terrible.
Is there a voice control feature in it?
Yes! I'm getting it for a longer driving so will run through all of the driving in my detail
Serious warranty on it
Shows serious confidence!
The Ssangyong, in new clothes.
Still a Ssangyong. They’re trying to escape the stereotype of being a Ssangyong but they kept their logos identical. So it’s still a Ssangyong.
Another ev brand!! Hard to keep up with them.
But for the money, a fine vehicle especially as a commercial I suspect.
Not really an EV brand. It’s an EV from a manufacturer that has rebranded but has been in Ireland many years (Ssangyong).
How can I start a review car channel in Turkey?
One video at a time.
They are in Ireland now. Any sign of you getting your hands on one for a proper review??
Coming in a few weeks!
The blue
Nice!
how much , euros is fine . i can covert to pounds
£34,995 UK price
Really? for a top spec one? That sounds tempting doesn't it
Do not like the indicator sound at all but I suppose you would get used to it.
The concern with these brands is the servicing. Where would you go to get one of these serviced in Ireland?
Great question. 15 or so SsangYong Dealers around Ireland will be KGM dealers moving forward
@@NevoEVReviewIreland interesting. Good information to know. Do you know what the realistic price could be? Given its Ireland and we also overpay 🙄
We need a petrol and diesel also not sold on the all electric otherwise it's a missed opportunity to make it in Ireland
Has a very current gen Hyundai Kona look.
Some may say and South Korean look 😉
No way, a new suv ev that borrows from range rover n jeep
Wasn't expecting that
Grey
Cheapest Xpeng G9 is €58K here in the Netherlands. Would stretch budget to that.
I was really pleasantly surprised by this and had almost convinced myself to put it on my shortlist.... then I heard the indicators and the CONSTANT bonging 🤮
To be fair, you can turn them all off. I'll have it again soon
@@NevoEVReviewIreland that's fine but I'm someone who uses my level 2 autonomous driving everywhere so I can't be switching off the systems. Do you know if it's possible to mute the alerts but keep the tech active?
Ssangyong/ KGM have a sound suite in the settings, so you can set a preferred sound for various functions as well as adjust volume or turn off sound for some functions.
Wired connection? Huge C pillar! 460klms not great for a large battery. 152kW is on the lower power side. Screens look very low, but could be camera angle. Commercial would be popular. Price is more expensive than a 77kW ID.4......barely bigger. Will struggle, but nice looking car but needs slightly longer wheelbase.
Thanks for the comment.
With the ID.4 on 20" wheels and the Assistance Pack Plus it comes in at €52,075.
The biggest car, the shortest wheelbase.
Battery is whats letting it down... Should be a bigger battery option
A lot of 20 mph in Wales
Still around 30kms/h faster than the speed limits mentioned in the clip.
Another big suv
The car's good, but they need to change the logo and the name cause Ssangyong name is associated with low-quality cars in Europe.
That’s why it is not Ssangyong and they have rebranded as KGM…
According to a dutch journalist the standard tyres are too hard (no grip) and even dangerous in the rain or on wet roads. The maddening sounds are for me a reason to pass buying a Torres.
I wouldn't exactly call that a 'colour range'. It's black, white or several shades of sludge.
Thank you for the review, especially for a brand I did not really know. It looks pretty good value given EV costs though it does not quite excite me.
When your channel can afford it you really do need a helper to do the video to improve the media production quality. I imagine you are looking to Autogefühl and Electrifying as the sort of model for that.
Once the channel can afford one, absolutely! Sorry the quality is not great but working on it
@@NevoEVReviewIreland
Do not give up. It takes quite some time - years - to build this up. I will keep watching, and if you have a paid subscription option I will consider it. BTW I have a newspaper and media background, so I have been in the business.
amazing warrenty.
But there is a elefant in the room if this realy is going to cost 50K
with like 3k more you get a Tesla Model Y LR.
For ppl that think its intresting make sure the battery has conditiioning, Heatpump, and a routeplanning that includes charge stops based on the car itself.
Android or anny other 3de party app will not work with your cars consumption
If ty can price it under 40K then there might be room for this EV
If bot then its a good replacement for the Always U5
PS always U5 is a verry bad deal
overpriced like hell (Tesla Model Y price)
with consumption that drives you insane 21kW/100km
Brilliant copy of a large jeep, needs 4WD too
Thanks, unfortunately not going to come in 4WD. Maybe a future model
Pretty bland.
Almost German looking...
This would not fit on the puny irish roads...
I have it in a few weeks to drive on Irish roads. Video coming soon. There's one as a taxi in Dublin already
@@NevoEVReviewIreland…no driver seat memory? 🤔
Building a ground up ev without a frunk is just appalling engineering!
Not ground up, there's a combustion Torres 😞
You not paying attention ....
@@NevoEVReviewIreland ahh ok 👍🏽
I’m thinking he said “you can see this knoll, there’s storage in there.” So I assumed that was a lid with a little storage case beneath it.
Another waste on the roads. EVs have been shot in the head by screwing dealers screwing customers. Might need to put some juice in your channel as dino juice is making a huge comeback.
I really do not like this car
Other choices for you?
When will the Renault 5 appear in Ireland?
Pre-orders are big I hear
Next year sometime.
