Description:
Spider bites can sometimes turn you into a superhero, as in the case of Peter Parker in Spider-Man: The Movie. Assume the role of Peter, a good-hearted teenager bitten by a genetically engineered spider, which gives him muscles, incredible strength, and spider-like abilities. You'll have to learn how to control your powers including Spider Sense, web-slinging, and wall crawling, and the all-new aerial combat moves. Toby did not give a single f*ck when he recorded these lines. Like he recorded the entire game in one take, took his $20 dollars and ran out of the building.
He's hit and miss. Some line delivery is great.

The back and forth is so good between both of them. It almost sounds like they're friends at some points in the early parts.
To all that doesn't know, you can ride on Goblin while flying his glider by landing onto him and holding the jump button. You can also disable his grenades by just tapping the web button.
Huh.. didn't know that about the grenades.
You can do the same thing for Vulture
Willem Defoe really kept that green goblin alive in the game.
You can tell Toby didn't have much experience with pure voice acting and was just kind of getting through his lines

I always thought goblin was one of the hardest bosses of any Spiderman game. His melee fighting is on par with spidermans, he dodges constantly, and that damn choke hold...if he gets you in that, just accept defeat
Magnus Malo I always thought Venom was the toughest even Wilson Fisk in Spider-Man 3

All you have to do to get out of the chokehold is spam all the buttons really quickly, I would continually spam square triangle circle and X for PlayStation and he’ll let go,same deal with Xbox just different buttons

@@trevorphilips9065 for me green goblin was the hardest i beat venom in first try while green goblin probably took me like 5 or more tries.
Yeah that tackle move with Spider-Man is extremely helpful against Goblin. It allows you to stay out of his melee range.
Yea it was cheese but the best way to beat Goblin on higher difficulties
Goblin is strong in hand to hand and has some invincibility frames
The number of people who didnt know you could get on his glider is amazing. I guess it wasnt well spelled out but still. It wasnt hard to figure out.

Actually a lot of them didn’t suck
The voice work was most likely added to coincide with the part in the movie where he makes him an offer to join him. That's why there is no cutscene.
I’m weird this way but I watched the movie and played the game simultaneously. Sam Raimi and Treyarch were at their best having their take on Spider-Man in the 2000s decade.
I remember accidentally riding the glider once and forgetting how I did it years until I realised "just press X when you're above him lol" Now I do it all the time.
Why didn't they use the Goblin's theme from this Game in the film? It's badass!

@@portiz6283That’s unlikely to be the reason, as not only could the film be terrifying when it needed to be (after all, Sam Raimi directed The Evil Dead before Spider-Man), the movie and the game had different development cycles, with the game designers not seeing any finished visuals from the film until its release. Not to mention, the Goblin’s theme in the movie is pretty terrifying, just in a more creeping and subtle way.
So funny how Tobey Maguire quipped in these games more than the movies.

This is the level that made me realize I had a sailor mouth at 10 years old. If I’d known you could get on the glider, it would have been SOOO much easier!

Given, it’s actually a bit justified in the first movie that he doesn’t quip as often since he’s only starting out.
Still better a few memorable quips than a whole lot of shitty ones.
Spider-Man 3 has a few good ones.
I’m sure that if Spidey 4 happened, his quips would be gold by then.
@@Pooper he actually quips more than Andrew if you look into it. The knife scene is just prolonged. But Tobey's has had memorable quips as both Peter and Spidey in all 3 movies. It's just more subtle and clever than the others. Ik you weren't comparing it to the others but I just wanted to put that out there. Also this is a game so of course he's gonna quip more than the movie and over the gameplay and have some of that commentary. In comics and games you can have more of that vibe but in movies since it's live action you have to kinda put in a little more of a realistic setting y'know? But I do agree we could've had a bit more back and forth banter between him and the villains in the movies and some more quips placed at the right places and when it suits the scene. But he can definitely pull off that classic spidey banter. You also don't want just a shit ton of quips for fan service otherwise he just gets annoying and overbearing and causes more destruction or just says goofy shit for the sake of saying goofy shit lol.

Best way to beat him is with a 2x web gloved haymaker, you can kill him in three shots on the hardest difficulty.
This is literally the "Eventually they will hate you" scene from the movie expanded into a level.

After the fight:

(Goblin’s glider comes crashing down through the large roof window and he jumps onto it) Throughout downtown, our bombs have planted, filled with a deadly gas. When they go off... well, use your imagination. [laughs again] You might be able to stop them! Or you can try to stop me. The choice is yours, hero. (With that said, the Goblin takes off into the skies, leaving the frustrated Spider-Man with the dilemma.)
SPIDER-MAN: Agh! I can’t let him get away! But if I don’t stop those devices, the results could be catastrophic! I'll have to deal with the green menace later. I can’t let those bombs go off. (Having decided that saving innocent lives from the gas bombs is more important right now than chasing after the Goblin, Spider-Man leaps into action to go and defuse the bombs.)
