- Today, we received a call to rescue a mama cat and her kitten who were left alone after their owner went abroad. The owner hired a guard to take care of the mama cat and her kitten. The guard took them home and took care of them, but sadly, he came to know that the owner passed away. It became difficult for him to bear food expenses on his own, and the mama cat and her kitten started to go in streets to find food for themselves. Unfortunately, they got infected by a serious viral infection, and hence, he called us to rescue them. One our way we found a grey cat whose hind paw was severely burnt, and we rescued him, too!

Thank you Animal Cottage for rescuing Petals and her kitten, Mark; and Oliver. You didn't notice that Petals wasn't letting Mark eat the food you placed for both of them. Please give Mark food in a separate bowl. Thank you to the Veterinarian who treated the two adult cats and the one kitten. Thanks for saving these cats from the streets. Please feed them with separate bowls and please give them more to eat. Mama cat was so hungry that she didn't share with her baby and was scratching at the food bowl to make sure she got every bit out of it. They need more food, more often, and in separate bowls. I also noticed that Mama cat was looking for a scratching post. Perhaps this could be added to the cat room.

Pets are not toys... people throw them out when they are fed up (not in this case but still... RIP owner)... Pets are like family members! They should be treated with respect & care. Even if you can't care for them PLEASE find another nice home for them don't abandon them. Just think how would you feel if the person who you trust the most abandons you. The momma cat is very cooperative. She’s truly domesticated. She looks to humans for help. I’m glad they got it! She was in terrible shape! She is a beautiful cat, and a gentle soul. I’m so glad she and her kitten found safety and security!

Thank you for rescuing all three cats. Thankfully the guard cared enough about mama cat and her kitten to call you for help. All three would not have survived. Bless you! Although I do think you need to given the kitten a separate dish of food, because mama is eating it all, and not allowing the little one to eat.

Years back, I moved into a house and noticed an old black cat always hanging around it. I learned from my neighbors that the cat's previous owner abandoned him when he/she moved away. As an older cat, the stray would have had a had time competing for food with the younger ones but avoided starving because my neighbors were kind enough to keep feeding him until I moved in. The cat wouldn't let anyone else adopt him but stayed inside and around the empty house by going through a small pet door. No doubt he was waiting for an owner who would never return. It was so heart-breaking to see so I immediately adopted the cat and named him Puma. He was the sweetest cuddlebug ever and brought me a lot of joy. Sadly, he only lived about a year or so longer before passing away from age and illness. Its been 14 years since I lost Puma and I still miss him so much...

I feel the same way..my Cat Charlie passed away last May and not a day that goes by that he's not on my mind, l couldn't bear it to be without him..just after he died..l went and adopted 2 adorable brothers, Zorro and Chip, can't imagine my life without them.

Please make a separate food bowl for baby, as Mama, understandably, eats it all in the one.bowl and baby can’t squeeze in to get any food, so he eventually gave up and walked away (still hungry). Each time the mother cat and baby cat were fed, the baby did not hardly get any of the food....I hope you noticed that! The kitten was not getting any of the food. Why weren't they fed in two bowls, because the mother cat wouldn't let him have any food. I hope you see that. Thank you for rescuing them, but I hope you see that the little kitten was not getting any food in the video.

I absolutely agree that you can provide food for the kitten even on a paper plate if need be, both the mother and baby suffered starvation so the fear of having no food will be with them forever. Also, were they actually taken to a Veterinary hospital because the doctor was not wearing any protective gear like gloves and the larger gray cat was not given any pain medication before having his wounds cleaned. Who is the doctor, I would be more than happy to go into my savings account and send to the hospital gloves and whatever else is needed that I can afford including food.
