This is so nasty on my floors I’ve had this on my floors for over 3 years and I am now looking for something to remove the patches off since you can see on the high traffic areas how it’s coming off.
Great video thanks. I have purchase this material for my floors. It would have been great though to see you prep the floor with the cleaning products also. I am doing about 1000 Sq Ft. I will let you all know how it comes out. Wish me luck and say prayers. ;)
Hi, do you have before and after pictures of your floor when you put the product?, im thinking toggle a try- also how the floor will be cleaned after the product is applied on regular basics?
Hey man can I use this stuff to fix scuffs in my glaze I got some porcelain tile I just laid down and the grout dried on it before we got it all off so used a wire wheel to get the hard dried grout off but kind of scuffed the glaze I recon
I recommend you try a test sample kit. You can use GlazeGuard for repairs but the callange will be matching your existing tiles. The gloss may be different. I don't now how big and area you have but it may be better to put a coat of Glaze Guard across the whole area so everything has the same gloss.
Hi CoverTec. We have matte black bathroom tiles and would like them to always have that "wet look" which is blacker, as opposed to the dark gray one when it's dry. Would you recommend this product? Thank you in advance!
@@valjephson8176 Actually we don’t know yet since the job isn’t done. I can say that it would be best to have someone that knows how to use commercial epoxy for grout. You won’t need to seal grout and it is made for heavy traffic since it’s for commercial use. I could kick myself for giving in on that but I won’t be doing the resealing…that was the deal. As I look under the paper covering the floor, it’s still a dark black vs gray…that was dumb luck in my opinion. I wish you the best.👍🙏🏻👍
Will this work on porcelain tile that doesn’t require a sealer ? I just installed Mediterranea Fossil Smoke matte tile in my new house . I like the way it looks much better when it’s wet , but I’ve seen sealers peel right off porcelain tile . It made a huge , scratched up mess on a friend’s floor when her tile guy sealed her porcelain tile . I don’t know what product the installer used . I don’t do tile for a living . But my boyfriend and I installed ours . Thanks so much 😊
Thanks for contacting CoverTec and your interest in our GlazeGuard product. This product has been specifically developed to bond on most porcelain and ceramic tile (with the exception of highly polished porcelain). It will put a tough clear barrier across the tile and grout that will make the floor much easier to clean. Keep in mind that the tile AND grout will have a darken wet look. We do sell small sample kits if you want to test a small area before sealing the entire house. For more information click www.covertecproducts.com/glazegaurd-information/.
md khan , I haven’t. But I should. Just cleaned my tile yesterday and remembered that I’d wanted to seal it . If I try it , I’ll report back here ASAP and let ya know 😊
Hello Dimitar, Thanks for your interest in our GlazeGuard sealer. Yes, the product is very suitable for outside applications. GlazeGuard is non-yellowing, durable and has excellent water resistance. The tile surface must be prepared with PreTreat before sealing with GlazeGuard. We also sell a slip-resistant additive called CoverGrip which when mixed with GlazeGuard will give you a high traction surface. Please see links below. Hope that helps! www.covertecproducts.com/product/covergrip-anti-slip-additive-for-sealers-and-coatings-2/ and www.covertecproducts.com/product/pretreatmild-acid-cleaner-for-tiles-and-concrete/
@@covertecsurfacesolutions4879 Lmao. You're just selling product after product. U can buy a all in one tile and grout sealer. You're scamming people with all your add on products.
The floor should be cleaned with a good quality tile and grout cleaner. If you use TSP or any high pH cleaner, then the floor needs to be rinsed thoroughly afterward with clean water and a little vinegar to neutralize the surface.
Can this product avaiable in.hardware store i have cermic tile with gloosy glaze coating but in 1 tile i have very big spot in it because of scatches and it's look veru bad because my tile is shinny and this spot look very bad any solution please
Do you have to keep buffering it ? I have glossy mirror like tiles and every foot print shows up, or even smears after mopping . Nightmare to keep it looking like new
GlazeGuard does not require buffing to keep it shine. However, the product was not developed to bond to very high shine polished porcelain tile. It sounds like that's what you have? If so please contact Technical Service at 754 223 2465 for more advice.
Can this product be used for nonporous tile ? We would like to have polished porcelain but can't because it might be slippery. So we are installing matte finish glazed porcelain tiles and so would like to also have a light gloss effect while protecting them from scratches
Is this product turns the dark grout to a whitest/light grout? There is another video of a 511 product claiming the grout changed once was applied. I don't want the same happening to my grout.
Thank you for your interest in our product. Yes, GlazeGuard can be used to seal the surface and bring back the shine to your existing tiles. You can learn more at www.covertecproducts.com/sealing-and-coating/ceramic-and-porcelain-tile-sealers/
The answer is yes you can use GlazeGuard on outdoor floor tiles. We have many customers using the product for this application. It will form a clear waterproof barrier across the tile and grout. The satin finish will give a medium sheen. You should mix in the CoverGrip slip resistant additive at the time of application to ensure the surface will have high slip resistance. Before sealing we recommend you lightly etch the tile using our PreTreat to give better adhesion under wet conditions. Hope that helps. Please visit our website for more product details www.covertecproducts.com
@@covertecsurfacesolutions4879 in the video, you use the CT-50. For outdoor wood look porcelain tiles, would you recommend using your pretreat instead or with the CT-50? Does the CoverGrip slip resistance still maintain the same "wet" look when combined with your glazeguard? thanks
@@cleansingforchange for outdoor you should use the PreTreat to microscopically etch the tile before you seal. I recommend you clean the tile first with some of the CT-50, rinse off and allow the tile to dry. Then use the PreTreat according to the instructions. You need to rinse off again and I would use a little CT-50 in the rinse water to neutralize the surface. I hope that helps.
