Agreed with the masses! Im following along with you easily before I even attempted to do it myself. I have full use of one arm only, but when I heal completely... I know I can do this! Thank you!❤😊
Great video! I was a little nervous with this new kit. My old one had a different support system and I didn't know how these would hold up in my laundry room. Once I found the studs I held extremely well. I'm very happy with it. Thank you.
Thanks, I'll use your technic here in my closet wire shelving project where the existing one in the home collapsed. However, in the garage I'd go with the bracket shelving setup and drilling the tracks directly into the studs.
Just installed two-3 ft wire shelves in my laundry room and followed the instructions in your video made it a breeze! Thank you so much for this video!
My dad never took the time to teach me how to do stuff like this. I recently became a homeowner working on my own improvements, thank you so much for this!
OMG THANK YOU - YOUR VIDEO HELPED A TON! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾I decided to do my closet and after watching others videos of the same thing- Put two holes in the wall that I had to spackle but AFTER WATCHING YOUR VIDEO - I FINALLY GOT THE HANG OF IT! Thank you so much for the step by step and letting us see exactly how you did it with options. YOU’RE AWESOME!
Very clear instructions make this exactly what I was looking for. But even better yet, Caesar has done a fantastic job of making a RUclips video. I say this because this video shows you ALL the work that goes into the HARD STEPS, then 'FAST FORWARDS' through the EASY stuff (e.g., every stroke of hammering anchors, drilling holes from beginning to end). So many videos show all the of hammering, screwing, drilling... but then jump from 'before' to 'after' on the hard steps. Great job Caesar. I have subscribed to your channel.
Great video, played it at 1.5x speed and could still understand everything easily. (People usually choose the shortest videos related to the subject.) 👍
Thanks for the video. I would recommend the metal stud clips you can buy separately. It does require extra expense and 2 holes for every clip instead of 1. Do these at every stud location and in between use the plastic clips with wall anchor sleeves. You have to cut off the clip expanders with wire cutters then as well. Our shelving fell as these plastic pieces fail. The plastic is not durable over time and will harden and weaken. It takes a long time, but they will fail. Your video is very helpful. Thanks for posting.
Thank you. The fellows that installed the shelf did something wrong as it completely collapsed and I don't think I had 60 pounds on it. The plastic things that the nails went into hadn't expanded as you said they would. I'm going to hang the shelf myself and try to make it more secure with more fittings for the shelf to hang on and more of the brackets. Fingers crossed this holds.
Just had one of these wire shelves fall down with this exact install. I didn't realize the installer didn't put any wall anchors upside down so as to keep it from flipping out of the anchors. It fell at 3 a.m. with quite a bang. Again install wall hangers from the top and bottom on the wall to keep it from popping out and falling.
I give this 9 of 10 rating. The only thing I'd suggest is to drill the pilot holes into the wall using a small bit like 1/16 or 1/8 so if you hit a stud you can adjust your plan. If you already drilled the bigger hole, you can't switch up your approach. Found this out the hard way on another project lol
You are amazing !! Thank you so sooo sooooo very much if it wasn’t for your clear instructions and video I wouldnt have been able to do this by myself. Thank you again from your girl right here trying to get her little apartment organized.
Mine flipped up off the clips on the back and everything crashed down. I rehung the shelf but I used two of the clips (hooks) upside down to help with counterforce.
What if we don’t have drywall? Would everything go straight into the studs AND would I still need to use the anchors?? I plan on putting these in the laundry room and there is no drywall in that room.
What you call adapters are Closet Maid Joiner Plates that come in a pack of two plates. They definitely give it a finished, even look to a row of wire shelves.
Don’t use the anchors, get wood screws and go right into the studs. We followed instructions and a shelf with t shirts collapsed. Now I can put a lot more weight on them.
ahh...so the wall anchor goes thru the hole in the support bracket, not directly into the wall...I was wondering why the pins provided were too small to secure the support bracket
I replaced the small plastic wall clips with steel "U" shaped hooks that took too screws to mount. I installed a 1/2" x 3" board to the wall studs. Then I mounted the hooks. They can handle a lot more weight than 90 pounds.
Can you give me the stuff I need to buy it separately and list them all here? I would appreciate if you can, and it would help many others that are new to this!
People will make their own choices but, for the reasons mentioned below, this installation method is NOT recommended. It is troublesome enough to take the time to explain why this method is NOT recommended. With VERY few exceptions, shelves should be installed using the strongest installation method when installed and taking material fatigue over time. Every method and material has its inherit weaknesses. Over time plastic hangers fail and nails work lose, etc. Future owners/tenants won't know if the shelves were installed into the studs or through the the drywall. In the end, it won't matter because whatever items they have that need to be stored will end up on that shelf regardless. They will just make an assumption about how strong the installation method is and throw whatever items they need to store on the shelves without bothering to inspect the shelves. It is quite possible they will throw two, three or more times the load limit on the shelves and then, when the shelves don't fail immediately, assume all is well. Then, perhaps years after the shelves were installed, when they are sleeping snug and warm in their bed next to their wife, husband or significant other, dreaming of that special someone they knew back in high school, they might feel the bed shake (which will conveniently match the theme of their dream) hear a loud crash without end and wake up and open their eyes to see their s/o giving them a strange look wondering why their own private Master Craftsman is yelling their high school sweetheart's name in the dark as the word appears to be coming down around them. That just seems to be the natural order of things. Lastly, tenants SHOULD NOT alter the structure unless they are absolutely positive they have the corresponding knowledge, skills and abilities to achieve the task correctly. Their confidence level should match the cost to make any necessary repairs should the landlord take issue with their workmanship and insist the installation and demand it be repaired. RECOMMENDATION: Buy a stud finder and USE IT. To verify you have located a stud, use a straight pick that looks like it came from a dentists office (because it did since you took it with you after the conclusion of your last visit) or bought as part of a Test Probe Set from Harbor Freight for $3.99 - which you also did so you would have a safety pick in case one broke. Locate a stud using the stud finder. Take the pick and push it straight through the drywall. The pick will slide nicely through the drywall if you have not - try again. You will meet resistance if you have indeed found a stud - congratulations you stud! Now, and this makes everything go much faster after you do it a few hundred thousand times, mark off the other studs knowing studs are usually located 16" on center. Measure from what you perceive to be the center of the stud you found. Check the marks with the pick. It only takes a second and avoids repairing wall ventilation from drilling holes in the wrong location. Hopefully, this provides adequate explanation of the concerns and a method to make you confident enough to install your shelves correctly.
I normally don't comment or like videos but you saved my life in less than 10 mins! Thank you!
Im 68YY and I have to rely on myself to do all of my handy work. I find everything I need on YT! Thank you for taking your time to demonstrate.👍
No problem. I’m glad I was able to help.
Of all the Rubbermaid metal shelving videos I watched, yours is the best and most straightforward. Thank you!!!!!
Just hung a shelf up in my daughter's closet while using this video. Super helpful and straight to the point. Thanks man!

Thanks so much! This helped immensely! My kit did not come with instructions so this allowed me to install it. Thanks man!
I’m doing this alone never used a drill either and this helped so much thank u !! Feeling much better with ur help !!

About to move into my first apartment and am definitely using this for the closet. Thank you. Straight to the point.
No problem bro. Thanks for dropping a comment
Great job Caesar! This is exactly what I needed as it is my first time installing closet shelves.
Perfect 👍🏻. I’m glad I was able to help you out.

Very, very helpful. I'm putting up one today.
Hello!
What a awesome explanations with all mini details.
If I use 20"x72" shelf , what size bracket do I need to use? 20"?.
Thanks.
Thanks brother, vid was perfect for what I needed!

Needed this! Thanks a lot!
Appreciate you taking the time. Helped me out!

Awesome!! I'm going to install one of these tonight. I needed quick easy instructions and you nailed it!!
Thanks 🙏🏻 so much Lydia
Sir thank you 😊. You made it so simple. I am going to buy one tomorrow. I click like and subscribe and share. You're great 👍 😊
You saved my life.THANK YOU!
No problem Lauren.
Thank you.
I learned good, I didn't know what to do.
But I appreciate your help.
No problem. I’m glad you found my video helpful
I did.
I bought some of those shelves.
With your video got it right.
Perfect
Nice video man. Thanks
Thankyou!!!! First shelf built
Don’t use the anchors, get wood screws and go right into the studs. We followed instructions and a shelf with t shirts collapsed. Now I can put a lot more weight on them.
Thanks for this video. If i wanted to install a shelf under an existing on, how much space should be between the 2 levels?
Thanks. At least 2 feet but remember that you will have the shelf brace kinda in the way the closer the shelves are.
ok so how do you remove it without destroying the drywall if you want to repaint the wall
Most safe and secure installation is to drill into the wall studs.
ahh...so the wall anchor goes thru the hole in the support bracket, not directly into the wall...I was wondering why the pins provided were too small to secure the support bracket
Trying to put them back up after the painter took them down. Are sll brands basically the same?
My hardware looks different….
Yes they r basically the same with all brands
I replaced the small plastic wall clips with steel "U" shaped hooks that took too screws to mount. I installed a 1/2" x 3" board to the wall studs. Then I mounted the hooks. They can handle a lot more weight than 90 pounds.
Thanks for the tip
The rubbermaid shelves are so much better than these.
Thank you 🙏
Very helpful!
Thank you!
You’re welcome Andrea
Do you have a link to the adapters to make the shelves line up and attach to eachother?
They are called joiner plates from Closet Maid. They are sold at Home Depot.
Good presentation, Thanks
No problem
Can you give me the stuff I need to buy it separately and list them all here? I would appreciate if you can, and it would help many others that are new to this!
very helpful
Could you please share the link for this self kit.
I wish I could but I have to wait until I reach 500 subscribers for me to share Amazon links. I’m almost there though
Thank you so much
Gracias
thank you! It was helpful
No problem Claudia.
Thank you.
You’re welcome
Thanks bro
Nice video, thanks.
No problem. Thanks for watching.
Where to buy this shelves?
Amazon or Walmart.
Home Depot, Lowes
The anchor messes up the hole
Thank You 😊
You’re welcome
Would have been nice had you showed us how you go about cutting it.
Sorry. I didn’t have to cut this shelf but it’s easy if you hace the right saw.
If you’re putting up those shelves, you better find studs because those things fall out of the wall
Thank you soooo much!!
No problem
Thank you. 👍🏾
No prob
Thank
Like it send me more vidoes in wat ur professional
Those wall clips suck and your shelf will fall after a year or two, despite not overloading it
That's right, I would hit the studs with those clips with wood screws and i don't need strictly put it in order i just need stud to hit them
That’s gonna fall off the wall if you put nothing into the studs

Yeah it’s off. Your line you drew wasn’t even close to original shelf. You can see that in last 30 seconds
There’s a much easier way to do this
Which is?
Get some audio! Can't hear a word you say.
Will do Tim
