The Egg quest in the desert is the one that got me the most.
For the forest you can actually take shortcut from Rath's cave backdoor and descend carefully step by step so the egg won't break.
The desert in other hand. . . . I love Mega Dash Juice.
Also Eager Cleaver, Siegmund, Ancient Blade are the GOAT

thanks for reminding me the pain of playing MH:FU. Side note: if you're doing egg quest/heavy item delivery, wipe out the preys in the area you have to go through. there's a finite amount of times they respawn.

I thought everyone knows this because eventually, at some point, all hunters would commit a species-specific genocide out of sheer frustration until they stopped respawning
I only ever had myself to play any of the games up until MHFU. I started on the first game and tried to convince friends they needed to play it with me. After MHFU they were hooked and two friends and I played them all. We're down a man but my buddy and I still play to this day, feels like ages ago I was playing with the claw on PSP lol. Some damn good times playing on PS3 via Ad-Hoc Party, though. Met a lotta cool people.
As someone who played Freedom, freedom 2 and freedom unite growing up, finally getting to World and NOT seeing a Velociprey really fucked me up honestly
lol I remembered when I was 15 yo, the first time facing velocidrome, man I was terrified. MH is one of my childhood games that thought me to be brave and well prepared
nah velocidrome was ez, my first roadbloack was rathalos...it took me about 3 weeks to clear that mfker without refering to any faqs...tried all kinds of weapons against it and finally managed to take it out with a hammer because i discovered that superpound allowed you to smash through the monster no matter what sharpness you had..the sense of accomplishment was indescribable when i killed it for the first time, even took a picture of the carcass on my little nokia phone too..
Worst part about old MH tail swipes is they look like they're just turning sideways so it makes it weird to predict not hard just weird as hell not to mention that fucking hitbox

MH was a god like Game for me, i remember having a war with rathalos, took me year and a half to win with the equipment i had, remember i won with 5 mins or less and become so confidente i went rampage with the rest of monsters left, monovlos, diablos, gravios, khezu, a troublesome pair, all of them i wiped the shit out of them after i defeated the rathalos
I guess that your war with Rathalos was the quest which called, 'Attack Of The Rathalos'. 😅
As a Rise starter (now i play World) this feels like one of those war stories from veterans lol

Monster Hunter 1, my first and only Monster Hunter game until MH World + Iceborne. Man I loved that game, playing all night with my PSP in bed my mom scolding me for it. And how happy i was that I solo'd Fatalis as a young boi, and how much I hated Golden rathian and silvern rathalos in that Arena...
It's impressive to me how much MH changed over the years, sadly i didnt got the joy/pain to enjoy the first gens of it, my first MH was Tri (i had a wii) and since that day i loved it so much.
Maybe because pure nostalgia or the fact that MH Tri was my first one I loved underwater combat lol, i wish they bring it back but better, Lagiacrus the lord of the seas needs its kingdom to kick our asses 😂.

Im actually playing MHGU again with my buddy. He started on World. Hes adjusted pretty well and actually is having a ton of fun. I started a fresh file to go through it with him. Its a great experience lol

Bro generations is the least old of the old MH. Its actually really easy to pick and go back. You should try it
frustation when the egg broke becoz of that fucking bee after coming out of the cave, (bonus there is another route through 9th section in map)

i remember that i played this game on ps2, without knowing nothing about it, i remember going to the game store, and the guy who worked there was nice with me, and recomend me games, he told me about this game that was really hard, and you could craft armors with the monters you hunted, i was totally in, i try it out, and though the graphics look beyond believe at that time, the game looked so different than other games, and i was playing it non stop, i remember captuirn rathalos like 25 times to finally get his complete armor and his sword, and then thinking that there he was the final boss...encounting PLESIOTH was the worst thing i ever saw, i remember reading on the internet about a strategy to beat him using long range weapons, so i had to farm for the other kind of armor. and the main theme still make me tear up, nowadays im playing rise, and im loving it so much, and i cant play sunbreak because im from argentina and its became really expensive on steam lol, but i sure will get it when i can. And i have to say, the original monster hunter sure is hard and its hitbox is bs, and its looks like crap now, but it deserves mass respect either way, he had to walk so the series could run, and to all of us who loved monster hunter in its begginings and suffer with it, so capcom would continue doing more games, i just wanted to share a little about my feelings for this gem, so if anyone wants to reply and share his about it i would love to read it
Remember that powderstone quest which would just suck off your health if you hold it for too long or explode if you drop it by accident. You had to deliver 3 of those in a fuckin volcano whilst dodging 10000 bullfangoes on the way to camp. Yeah those are some hours of my life im not getting back.
I remember that shish, my own saved data didn't finished that shit but luckily I finished my friend save data when he asked me to do it 💀

there's a trick about the egg quest to be honest......take many times you have to come back and kill all the enemy until they never respawn unless it's rathalos yes......

Looking at the gameplay of 1 and now Rise it still confuses me sometimes if monster is walking will turn around or is that some kind of attack.What i mean is that i expect monster to turn around at me and it's some kind of slow ass tail attack.

@@ararira but you need to complete it to unlock a troublesome pair quest which is rathalos and rathian with HR HP and damage. You can also get rathian plate in that quest with very low chance

MH1 Wyvern Egg quest is way more stressful than Iceborne Fatalis
OG 😊 no leg up or easy version low lvl. Every monster in this game, would whoop you if you hadn't the skills or necessary equipment. What a learning curve it was, but the scence of achievement once you learnt the patterns and defeated your foes

Golden fish quest: they can't respawn again always has a limit

Took me two whole 50 minute attempts :/
I spent the first attempt trying to fish in the swamp area 1 before checking online to see they only spawn in area 7 :/

@@arariramy favorite part of egg quests is when the put a random boulder in the way. Also my most hated quest was the goldenfish catching quest.
It hurts m, heart when i see the old game and remember me and my brother playing freedom unite together for weeks or longer and then... some months later my file was gone it went down the drain and everything was gone. It felt truly saddening.
Seeing mh today its become toooo easy. I ran through sunbreak alone if that acc was gone the only difficulty would be getting the anomaly level back. Everything else not that big of a deal. I pulled 2 friends to the endgame in less then a week.
