From a creativity standpoint yeah it’s kind of lame. From a gameplay standpoint it would be pretty frustrating to hear a sound that seems mostly natural and then just get grabbed from nowhere because you thought it was part of the ambiance.

Second spike was April 5th when they went from 7 to 40. And the third one on April 19 when they went from 40 to a 100 on May 3rd.

That first game actually had VERY good graphics. It looked exactly like you were filming in a woods at night, the trees, lighting, layout, and screen filters were pretty realistic. Even if it ran poorly, and even if the models were purchased assets, the developer has the potential to create an awesome horror game.
It wasn't any of that. It was a free scary forest map with everything included except for the Siren Head model. The path, the woods, the lighting, the fog, even the house, the "creator" of that one didn't do any of it. They just put Siren Head in there.
I want like a real ass, free roam Siren Head game, where you have objectives you are just trying to get done and you end up stumbling into him and having to escape while he is blending in with trees or something, like with ghouls in Death Stranding, I think that would be cool.
Especially since Trevor has hinted at the possibility of multiple siren heads. Imagine you’re just walking through a forest and all the sudden several trees start following you

It’s a mechanism to force the person to pay really close attention to the screen. Also, more likely then not, also compensate for the lack of general polish. It’s easier to make something dark with limited resources then light.

Likewise, a well crafted game needs to work with shades. 5 Nights at Freddie’s is an example of a game that presents a detailed, limited, but effective pallet. The game shows you what you need to see and provides audio cues so that the player can respond if they are aware, but leaves enough ambiguity to foster tension. Most of these cheaper games; just are awful viewing experiences, but can be effective if your forced to sit in front of them and look at 20% of screen in dim light

Around the time Siren Head peaked in popularity, the sound was changed to a classic wailing sound. Probably to avoid confusion. What I think would be really cool is a siren head that is set during the day, which is bright and sunny. The player is going camping with some friends, one of which leaves to “go get something”. After an hour or so, you start to get worried, and go looking for them. After searching in the woods for a few minutes, you hear the friend scream, or shout pleas for help. You run toward that sound. After traveling about a quarter of a mile, you come across their body, which has been disfigures to the point of being almost unrecognizable. You still hear their screams off in the distance, though. You start heading in that direction, ever more careful. You start seeing huge shapes flashing in the trees, though you chalk it up to paranoia. Your friend just died, after all. After a few more minutes, you come across a clearing, with a huge figure, with sirens coming out of its head. It appears that the sound of your friend screaming is coming from there. The sound then changes to a siren, loud and blaring. You start to run away from it as fast as you can, but it’s long, loping gait is too much for you. It quickly overtakes you. The last thing you see is the harsh sun being covered by horrible gnashing teeth, coming straight toward you. Wow that was a lot more that I thought was gonna happen originally writing this comment. I did this because I don’t actually know how to make games myself, but I would still love to see it

There are so many siren head games that are kinda the same thing. *Dark setting in a forest and running away when you hear the exact same siren everytime*. That's how i see all of the siren head games rn (maybe because i've only been watching youtubers play). So using sirens for mimicry as bait and not set at night would be nice for a change imo.
Great idea, but I think rather than the friend being mangled, I think it would be better to have blood around their bursted eardrums, or maybe even an entire bursted head if we wanted to go that far. With an interesting concept that switches things from the rest of the Sirenhead games such as yours you just presented, I think just going for "the monster attacks and mangles the body" would be a wasted opportunity for some cool and strange gore to add to the oddity of the situation. I think Sirenheads siren abilities aren't utilised much aside from trickery or just flat out using it for no reason. The most was in that one game where he'd scare the player with random screams. Just a thought, though. And I still love your concept otherwise!

Funny thing is, I found a page somewhere (today actually) on the SCP wiki site that recommended making Siren Head an SCP isn't a good idea. mostly due to their image use policy. There's also the fact that since Siren Head is so popular, readers who know of Siren Head might downvote it because the writer didn't make it himself, and too many downvotes will lead to your page being deleted. In short, it sounds like the Foundation doesn't want to be associated with Siren Head either.

Around the time Siren Head peaked in popularity, the sound was changed to a classic wailing sound. Probably to avoid confusion. The sirens heard in the particular recording most commonly used for siren head is a Modulator/DSA, but can also be made by the EOWS, 3T22 and Thunderbolt 1003.

What I think would be really cool is a siren head that is set during the day, which is bright and sunny. The player is going camping with some friends, one of which leaves to “go get something”. After an hour or so, you start to get worried, and go looking for them. After searching in the woods for a few minutes, you hear the friend scream, or shout pleas for help. You run toward that sound. After traveling about a quarter of a mile, you come across their body, which has been disfigures to the point of being almost unrecognizable. You still hear their screams off in the distance, though. You start heading in that direction, ever more careful. You start seeing huge shapes flashing in the trees, though you chalk it up to paranoia. Your friend just died, after all. After a few more minutes, you come across a clearing, with a huge figure, with sirens coming out of its head. It appears that the sound of your friend screaming is coming from there. The sound then changes to a siren, loud and blaring. You start to run away from it as fast as you can, but it’s long, loping gait is too much for you. It quickly overtakes you. The last thing you see is the harsh sun being covered by horrible gnashing teeth, coming straight toward you.
Wow that was a lot more that I thought was gonna happen originally writing this comment. I did this because I don’t actually know how to make games myself, but I would still love to see it
Yeah I really feel like the people making games aren't taking advantage of the idea of it tricking people with mimicry. That idea is so creepy and cool. Even just like that one scp that repeats the stuff people said before it killed them is so creepy

There are so many siren head games that are kinda the same thing. *Dark setting in a forest and running away when you hear the exact same siren everytime*. That's how i see all of the siren head games rn (maybe because i've only been watching youtubers play). So using sirens for mimicry as bait and not set at night would be nice for a change imo.
Great idea, but I think rather than the friend being mangled, I think it would be better to have blood around their bursted eardrums, or maybe even an entire bursted head if we wanted to go that far. With an interesting concept that switches things from the rest of the Sirenhead games such as yours you just presented, I think just going for "the monster attacks and mangles the body" would be a wasted opportunity for some cool and strange gore to add to the oddity of the situation. I think Sirenheads siren abilities aren't utilised much aside from trickery or just flat out using it for no reason. The most was in that one game where he'd scare the player with random screams. Just a thought, though. And I still love your concept otherwise!

Funny thing is, I found a page somewhere (today actually) on the SCP wiki site that recommended making Siren Head an SCP isn't a good idea. mostly due to their image use policy.
There's also the fact that since Siren Head is so popular, readers who know of Siren Head might downvote it because the writer didn't make it himself, and too many downvotes will lead to your page being deleted.
In short, it sounds like the Foundation doesn't want to be associated with Siren Head either.
