I'm still not convinced that this isn't meant as some sort of parody of SpongeBob horror games. Frankly, Mark had every right to laugh when he did, unlike what others seem to point out.

I mean the show is literally about a talking synthetic sponge who lives in a pineapple who works at a burger restaurant that reuses a treasure chest ran by a crab with a fish-sized whale as his daughter, across a bucket with a robo-hand on top where an evil plankton resides in, not to mention a fucking squirrel girl who dresses up in a deep dive suit that looks more like an astronaut's outfit.

I think what would make this game a little more intense is if there was a scene of Squidward turning on the saw for patrick and you'd have a 3 minute time limit to stop it before it splits Patrick in half. Same goes for Spongebob, except it would rip his arms off and you'd have like a minute and a half for each machine.

I mean, if you ignore his mouth not moving at all
You can tell someone really tried with this one, it's got a loveably bad vibe to it, in a way nostalgic.
That's pretty easy to overlook once you study making games, that's a whole specialization in the industry of games/media. It's so time consuming and you rarely, if ever, make it look right without training and experience. You have to go into the modelling software and model poses for each individual syllable in the dialogue and the unique transitions between syllables.. while also maintaining the intended facial expressions and the variation in the same syllable that comes from the tone the character is conveying. It's insanely complicated.
