1:18 The comments under the last trailer lead me to believe that most people are very excited to have Nathan Fillion back as Cayde. There's just more important things to focus on with this DLC.
Tbh i just hope they update the main subclasses and prismatic throughout the final shape Year. So new strand and stasis supers, grenades and melees Same goes for some of the light subclasses. Not all the light subclasses have all 4 aspects and are lacking in abilities (like void warlock and hunter having 1 melee and only 3 aspects instead of 4 like darkness subclasses have) I just would really like if all the subclasses had an equal amount of abilities/aspects/fragments.
Betting the Main story missions are us basically finding a way to weaken the Witness, and the Raid is us basically Slicing the Witness into different parts. It could also be a 3 part boss fight vs the witness. The first two being the witness using Light/Darkness abilities, and the Final phase is his using Prismatic. I imagine the raid being called the Final shape or something simple
its usually in a 3-4 word structure, something of the something. Vow of the Disciple, Garden of Salvation (3), even the dungeons have a similar structure
I feel like the narrative this year weren't weak, sure they don't advance the story as much since we already expect what would be leading up to the Final Shape, but I feel like the seasons of this year still made for some really cool character moments like Eris briefly becoming a Hive God and Riven and Mara's back and forth and others. These seasons definitely built characters more than they gave super crazy plot revelations (aside from Xivu Arath being mortal now)
With the raid specifically I'm hoping for visual spectacle. I already know the music, art, and backdrops are gonna be epic but I want there to be some insane massive set piece moments with The Witness. That feeling the first time you drop down and see the full scale of Riven on her perch, the first time Oryx rises up in front of your raid, that type of thing except even bigger.
@@Koto.Sleezy its certainly run its course and i would just rather wait 6 weeks for a story beat that actually wows me instead of 7 weeks of stuff where only maybe 1 or 2 of them are big moments
I mean that's basically what's happening. Every act we get new activities, armor mods, weapons, story missions, etc so it'll feel pretty fresh every 6 weeks
What I hope for in The Final Shape The campaign isn't just super upbeat. I want moments where I'm just bawling my eyes out. Like Red Dead 2 did with Arthur Morgan. I don't want this raid to be a cakewalk. I wanna struggle. I want it to feel like its the grand finale.
2 things. 1 I think they are taking the dreaming city approach with the pale heart to me it feels like every clip we see in it is either in the d1 tower or an area that won’t reveal much and I think that was proven by the trailer we go earlier this week most dlcs we get a direct destination trailer showing us all sorts of areas this trailer was titled journey into the pale heart. 2 I have a few things I hope happen for tfs/ this year. 4. No power level increase or we start out contest ready. 3 days is a short turnaround to get ready for raid day even for people who can play non stop before the raid. Combine that with potential server issues for launch day and having a full campaign to complete you are realistically looking at maybe 24 hours to focus power leveling to get raid ready, and people who are unable to get off of work for that week probably won’t be contest ready in time. 3. Prismatic needs to evolve with each episode meaning with each episode each class should get another aspect or super augment to use with prismatic 2. Loot needs to be worth chasing this should come as a given, but we saw a perfect example in season of the witch activity was awesome and story was pretty good, but loot wasn’t worth chasing and it resulted in people like myself taking a large break. 1. As you said the raid absolutely needs to pop vow of the disciple proved that it is possible to make a good 4 encounter raid but that to me is a one off all of the other raids that have blown people away have been 6 encounters and I hope they had the foresight to give us the best raid they have ever made
I hope they explain how it is that The Witness isn’t able to just snap its fingers and instantaneously remove us from existence in the Raid like he did in the trailer with that Titan in the ship. How are we protected from that happening? It would seem pretty odd that we can fight multiple forms of The Witness with it getting more and more pissed off…..yet, it doesn’t just end us with a single thought. We need some explanation on how we prevent that from happening.
Big agree about the raid. One of the two main reasons why I loved Witch Queen so much is because of the raid (other being the campaign). Day 1 vow was such a fun and amazing experience, especially Rhulk given how different he was to other bosses and to this day is still a fun raid to run (after the opening encounter). If they make the raid the best raid they've ever released, it'll easily be one of the best expansions ever for me
Aksis Prime wrath of the machine had that two part battle you are talking about which you are right on with. I hope that happens. Edit: in terms of the battles getting trippy, it would be neat if the Witness was like a final fantasy multi stage antagonist. His first form is like he is now. Then by the end, it goes to some insane form with different creatures assimilated into him for some terrifying visual spectacle.
If the destination weapons are craftable (which they most likely will be) I hope that they won’t be such a pain in the ass to grind as Witch Queen and Lightfall.
Hopefully there are some twists in the story and having Savathun in there gets my hope up that there will be. Also once the pale heart fully opens up i want real secrets while exploring and not just chests and collectables .Finding missions and quests in the wild and not through an npc would be great
I'm hoping we don't kill off the Witness, I hope instead the Campaighn has a decent amount of dialogue and interactions with the Witness as we explore the Pale Heart, and it ends with us somehow removing from the WItness it's ability to enact the Final Shape, and we basically trap it in the Pale Heart, this way the Witness can remain an enemy we deal with in future story arcs but more of commanding it's forces across the system. Hopefully the Raid is just us challanging the Witness, kind f liek the Leviathan Raid, canonically being something we can do over and over again.
I hope they do something like with the taken events from taken king or the nightmares replacing lost sector bosses in shadowkeep. Like the witness permanently damages all the destinations and they all have some form of broken terrain with the dread appearing in those spots.
I think it will be Dread/Taken or just Dread for the raid however I can see the raid being on the “simpler” side due to the 3 day prep but it still will probably be insanely hard
Call me crazy or hopeful, but the recent cinematic work we've seen (especially in the final shape trailers) leads me to believe bungie might currently be working on a destiny tv show/movie series, and maybe they would announce it when the final shape releases.
I feel like the witness will be something more like the majoras mask boss from majoras mask, just insane cosmic horror type stuff, just really new, weird, and crazy boss design and mechanics. I really hope its not like the vow gauntlet where they just rehash old mechanics for nostalgia
It would be great to see them go back into older content and update them. Maybe for campaign they could add they big story beats into the older campaigns, why not have 12+ missions for them, a lot of seasonal story is missed for people that missed it
I have a bunch of concerns about new dread enemies. As a new type they are cool indeed, but as the time goes, I think they will end up being the most annoying race to go up against. When literally every second mob is able to somehow apply CC effects on you, there will be a ton of situations when you will find yourself in endless stunlock and die no matter what just because. I can be wrong but I am 90% sure that I am not.
1. Make our choice for season of gambit matter (only the OG players know what I mean) 2. Give us secret things in the new patrol zone that actually lead to meaningful loot not just some lore and a triumph 3. Make the new patrol zone dynamic with lots of things happening and changing
2:30 completely get ur comparison of Revelations as its one of my favorite maps, imo the Pale Heart already has much more new & originality than Rev as Rev only had 3 completely new areas, yea there's familiar stuff in the Pale Heart but it looks more distinct imo, & there's a ton of new areas especially related to the Witness. Visually Rev is my favorite Zombies map cause it's just like beautiful chaos & the Pale Heart gives me that same vibe too. Personally I hope they do the Witness & it's raid justice, it was my favorite part of LF & now that it's in the spotlight I hope it's gets the time to shine that it deserves, I've been looking forward to "the Darkness" since D1
i remember 2 months ago, i wasn’t hyped for Final Shape at all. i thought it would be LightFall part 2. but im ngl, im hyped. curious what the story will be, how hard the legend campaign will be, and most importantly, the raid needs to combine, Last Wish, Vow, and Spire of Stars to be truly special
I was definitely cautiously optimistic, especially after the layoffs. But Bungie’s marketing and Inti the Light the last couple of months have me so hyped it’s unreal
I agree with most people here. A balance in subclass abilities and supers. I am tired of Titans having in your face supers. Warlock either needs a new stasis super or a different one because it sucks so bad. Titans need some love other than strand in terms of abilities and supers. I really hope they buff and tune more exotic armor pieces. I really hope we get blown away. The ritual play list needs lots of love (which i know they said they are changing), but i hope it isn't just changing the way the strikes are. It needs more than that. And yes, it needs to hit hard narratively. The story really has to be new and different. I also hope they expand on onslaught as well and don't just forget about it. It has huge potential to be a staple core playlist.
what i hope for: personally im going into this expecting it to be mediocre like the last few expansions, meaning im either not disappointed at all, or i will be absolutely fucking floored by what they do
I hope in the year of TFS, we get to see shinies be used more often as a reward for those who chase these hard RNG drops. Bungie heavily leaning into crafting these past 2 years has made me lose interest in the chase for drops, but into the light brought that back and it feels very good.
6:27 - A Tormentor was spotted in the Dreaming City during a public event, a video proves. Probably some end of season mission malarkey. Would be nice to see more often though
i kind of wished inside of the traveler would look more etherical, and have those vines/branches from the tree of silver wings that we saw in RoN. kind of bummed that all of inside the traveler is just destination places, and not just a sort of "Heaven". but, i am excited for the story
1.) There's definitely nostalgia bait all over Final Shape, but i dont think that's inherently a bad thing. Most shows or movies that have an ending have callbacks and nostalgia bait through their final showings. I think the key here is to make it nostalgia bait that can still stand on its own, which i do think Final Shape *looks* like it will do. We go inside the traveler, yes. But the entire landscape is shaped by memory and thought, something fairly interesting and unique. Cayde seems like he's back from the dead, but he probably can't leave the traveler and is acting as more of a guide. Plus, he's more D1 Cayde and not Quippy D2 Cayde. There's reason to be concerned, and we dont have the dlc in our hands yet. But from what we've seen, i think they've got it. 2.) I'm definitely looking forward to what they can do with episodes too. Though I don't agree that the narrative of Lightfall's seasons have been bad or boring. Other than Defiance (mostly fine, but not directly telling us the why of taking the prisoners and the way they killed Amanda was pretty bad), the seasonal narratives have been pretty good. And pretty good at feeding into each other/the next one. The activities have been interesting or experimental too, it's just that we're stuck in the same content delivery method after so many years that makes everything feel worse imo. 3.) SAME. Though I don't see any nostalgia bait in the secret mission really? Outside of Ashers, which was closing up his storyline before the (first) series finale. 4.) Fully agreed, and love the idea of a RoN retcom refresh. Maybe they could fix the cheese/well spots too? 5.) YES
I can already see that this will not even be close to Forsaken or even the taken king. The raid dropping 3 days after the launch says it all, you have to complete the story and it’s attached mission before you can even do the raid. That’s not much content, with another “final” mission after the raid is completed. I predict it will be like all the recent content- it will be fun for about 1 week of total gameplay. I hope I’m wrong but history is in my side…
I want the new raid to have several big bads we’e beaten and several new bosses. I also think an encounter with 2 bosses like the daughters in oryx would be nice
I’m hoping the witness is as tough as he has been built up to be. If he’s the darkness incarnate, I want to know what that kind of power is like to go up against. I also hope the raid has dread and only dread cause if I see fallen or something in there imma start tweaking.
Not only that but I want the raid to look beautiful. In the sense that when I step into an encounter I want to be able to say “this place is cool as hell.”
I still refuse to believe they scrapped our final darkness (red) subclass. I honestly feel like Prismatic has been shown prematurely, this level of ascendance only makes sense after acquiring all 6 making it the 7th in the column. I swear they did this for the sake of just having something in TFS.
Because it was lol a prism is a 6 sided triangle. It’s not complete. Prismatic is a combination subclass at best. A combination of 5 when resonance is the final subclass for darkness smh
They had to add something to keep players playing after the campaign and this was probably the cheapest way to do that.Trying to find that perfect roll on the bond for a build will keep players busy for a while
I'm hoping that the raid incorporates Caiatl, Miisraaks and Savathun. I could see an encounter where Savathun gets killed, her ghost gets trapped, we free the ghost through mechanics, Savathun rezzes and stuns a boss for us to kill, an encounter where we summon more and more cabal in order to press forward in some sort of bridge encounter, an encounter where we need Miisraaks to unlock doors/vex walls/boss shields for us to dps, all culminating in summoning/empowering all 3 of them to start damaging the Witness somehow. (I'm not saying make the Witness health gated like og Oryx, more just they stun we kill kind of thing)
I WANT 1 THING: Icarus aspect for prismatic Warlocks. All it takes for me to personally use my credit card for TFS. Otherwise, get fuc@$d, lightfall was dirty af to have even dropped as a dlc.
I agree with you skarrow. I'd like secret quests, but not timed. I hate timed missions. While the new normal whisper mission is fine at 40. Legend being even harder w/ less time is some elitism bullshit that I will never like.
I hope there is a dreaming city sized surprise, buttttt the fact that they had to lay people off means they probably dont have that kind of budget anymore. I would be glad to be wrong but i suspect this is how its going down.
They kinda are as the full pale heart will only be accessed after the raid.We will be limited to a linear path in the campaign before the rest opens up
In general I’m with you on nostalgia bait. For me Cayde coming back as a Virgil-type guide is cool though. But the real key is Fillion coming back to put a bow on the character.
I think prismatic is missing something important. A sixth subclass. Prismatic should follow the 7 is symbolic of perfection and completion trope, meaning that 5 single element subclasses shouldn't be where it ends. Since solar opposes stasis, and I assume void opposes strand, what opposes arc? We'll I think the lightning came, so now must come thunder. They should call it rupture, and it's a kinetic subclass. Sound is the weapon being manipulated. Or maybe it's something else? Since we have hot (solar) vs cold (stasis) and we have creation (strand) vs destruction (void). What does arc or lightning represent, and what is its opposite that would make a viable opposing element worthy of a subclass? Maybe lightning is life, (reference to frankensteins monster) and the last one must represent death?
There's a lot of redness on the right side of your face (your left) that I think is just something from your camera where you might need to adjust some settings
i hope the nerf they do to well of radiance makes it not a must have in high lvl content and we can be able to use other warlock subclasses and prismatic and not be that "well bitch" in the raid
1. We see winnower and gardener meet to compare the flower game notes. 2. Vex have been waiting for this moment and they gain paracausality(we get our butts shoveled) vex centaurs mothergoosers!! 3. New Gambit/Onslaught/Game mode on the worlds the darkness took but without the witness we battle for them daily. 4. Torobotl wars 5. Kells of War with Crow, Caitl and Mithrax third person shooter. 6. Space battles
Ya about people not being excited about Cayde I'll have to disagree. Way back when they introduced he's coming back the internet went nuts. We've all known since the first promotional info of the final shape way way back so ya maybe now after a year or 2 it doesn't hit as hard. I just want new strikes for once.
I just want some 18+ things it’s time they added in gore and some real serious tones to the game also can get out of our solar system given that destiny will survive after this
I honestly hope our Guardian Dies, They said That The last campaign mission #8 Will release immediately after the final shape raid which means whatever happens in the raid will carry over or lead into the final mission & i hope our guardian dies but we end up somehow coming back without our ghost resurrecting us, therefore fulfilling the Corridors of time saint-14 Speech about Us, And we find a way to come back in the final campaign mission to truly kill the witness cuz let’s be honest i think megamind’s to strong & that the raid still won’t be enough
Hope and bungie in the same sentence is a recipe for major let down . Let’s just expect the expansion to be mid or like lightfall and be pleasantly surprised . Forsaken and witch queen don’t happen every other game. It happens every two bad expansions lol
Im so sick of nostalgia bait and reused areas:Rivens lair/ coil were almost all repurposed areas which was a major turn off for me. I really hope they stop using reused assets as much and that’s their idea of “brand new content” that’s personally why I was a fan of season of the Witch over wish. As for nostalgia bait, yeah it’s cool to see old weapons and locations like the old tower again. But really? I’d way rather have something new.
I don’t really mind reused themes and aesthetics, especially if it’s something I really enjoyed the first time like the dreaming city. I am ready for some great new stuff though.
The problem is they kept too much “close to the heart” when in reality that wasn’t going to cut it for most players especially the dedicated who’ve been through the drought seasons and their repetitive content. (Just be aware they are literally re-packaging the DCV and selling it back to us with a little bit of extra stuff. It’s scummy but what can you do except take it or leave it.) Imagine if the lesser Dread enemies released in Lightfall along with majors in RoN and now the full on gun-bats/field bosses in TFS. Now that is a great way to sell new content an extension of an enemy race. But like I said it’s really not time to be keeping things close to their chest. Overdeliver in the actual content NOT in the false promises or on “hope”.
@@omarlocke4351I haven’t deleted any comments. I’ve already explained I’m not Doxxing myself to you and I highly doubt you know enough about native membrane nanodiscs to understand it anyways lmao
@@Skarrow9 i doubt YOU know anything about that. i know how to find out about it because i do more research than you could ever dream of. i know you’re not on any bench in any lab that matters. so you claiming you made over $150k was a total lie. i know tenured professors top in their field that don’t make that. yet, the fact is, you’re not a doctor. that wasn’t your area of study. you googled that. try again, phony. link your dissertation or state your thesis. if you can’t do that. you never did any of that.
“The Final Shape needs to avoid nostalgia bait at ALL COSTS, except it should also be Forsaken and the raid should be like my favorite childhood Zelda game” is certainly a take
If you want narrative and secrets d2 really isn't for u. The player base wants to kill stuff and get loot. 99% of players would rather have a few guns versus a useless cutscene
let’s not make any stupid expectations yeah? if not met you’re gonna shit all over the game and blame bungie for it, but in fact you your self is the one to blame 😅 let’s just enjoy the game for what it is when it comes out.

Imagine if a traversal section in the raid requires us to pilot our ship like that amazing mission in Halo Reach.
i kind of wished inside of the traveler would look more etherical, and have those vines/branches from the tree of silver wings that we saw in RoN. kind of bummed that all of inside the traveler is just destination places, and not just a sort of "Heaven". but, i am excited for the story
5:35 where did the mention Gambit?
I need that 3rd darkness subclass: Resonance.
I need a resonant subclass in one of the episodes. I wanna shoot beams like Rhulk
So we need bungie to OD on hallucinogens to make the raid. Perfect
EXACTLY
I still refuse to believe they scrapped our final darkness (red) subclass. I honestly feel like Prismatic has been shown prematurely, this level of ascendance only makes sense after acquiring all 6 making it the 7th in the column. I swear they did this for the sake of just having something in TFS.
Because it was lol a prism is a 6 sided triangle. It’s not complete. Prismatic is a combination subclass at best. A combination of 5 when resonance is the final subclass for darkness smh
They had to add something to keep players playing after the campaign and this was probably the cheapest way to do that.Trying to find that perfect roll on the bond for a build will keep players busy for a while
@@jagg3722 I said the same thing
I WANT 1 THING: Icarus aspect for prismatic
Warlocks.
All it takes for me to personally use my credit card for TFS. Otherwise, get fuc@$d, lightfall was dirty af to have even dropped as a dlc.
I’m still not sold on this expansion. I’ve been baited too many times. I’ll wait for the launch and see what’s what before I buy.
I agree with you skarrow. I'd like secret quests, but not timed. I hate timed missions. While the new normal whisper mission is fine at 40. Legend being even harder w/ less time is some elitism bullshit that I will never like.
I really expect a 3rd dark subclass
I mean, it's fair. Isn't it?
Light has 3, why does Dark only have 2?
dude wants bungie to make two subclasses with this DLC lmfaoo
I bet we’ll get it eventually but almost certainly not this year
@@ExistentialReignthey should and easily could but hey, it's bungie😂😂 lazies
@@SmokinTonic easily could? Dude knows nothing about game development at all.
@@ExistentialReign ima game dev, n yea they could it's pretty simple. they got the money too so, shiiiii you're jus wrong kid😂😂
when i watched the final shape stream i got so happy from all the releases that i got a headache
i really hope that the new supers are not a prismatic exclusive.
I believe we already have confirmation that they are not!
I hope there is a dreaming city sized surprise, buttttt the fact that they had to lay people off means they probably dont have that kind of budget anymore. I would be glad to be wrong but i suspect this is how its going down.
They kinda are as the full pale heart will only be accessed after the raid.We will be limited to a linear path in the campaign before the rest opens up
im hoping we get a gardener and winnower reveal
Yeah I’d love a concrete distinction between those and the traveler/witness. I find all of that lore to be super confusing
I would like to see Amanda Holiday become a guardian and help us in the raid or something.
They should make Taniks the final shape of the Witness 😎
Are you dumb prismatic is the 7th super bro like what you said dont make sense
I hope they do away with sunsetting episodes like they do with seasons right now
I WANT AN AUTO SPRINT OPTION PLEASE!!!!!
There's a lot of redness on the right side of your face (your left) that I think is just something from your camera where you might need to adjust some settings
He’s got the 3rd darkness subclass 😂😂
I hope bungie makes Destiny 3 and merges it into Destiny 2 so we can play Destiny 5 😶✨
i hope the nerf they do to well of radiance makes it not a must have in high lvl content and we can be able to use other warlock subclasses and prismatic and not be that "well bitch" in the raid
Should put dread and tormentors in PvP mode lol new IB
That would be absurd XDDDD
Ahhh what’s the raid exotic? All raid guns are bangers? What do we want? I want a strand hand cannon maybe silly 180 precision am I crazy?
Xur rework better be on this list
We already know that’s coming!
I am gonna say it honestly. They have gameplay down. They just need to focus on story and raid. Simple as that.
I hope icebreaker return
4. Torobotl wars
5. Kells of War with Crow, Caitl and Mithrax third person shooter.
6. Space battles
honestly i pray for the destiny 2 come back
Ya about people not being excited about Cayde I'll have to disagree. Way back when they introduced he's coming back the internet went nuts. We've all known since the first promotional info of the final shape way way back so ya maybe now after a year or 2 it doesn't hit as hard. I just want new strikes for once.
Thumbnail got a giggle out of me
Raid better take over a week to beat
I just want some 18+ things it’s time they added in gore and some real serious tones to the game also can get out of our solar system given that destiny will survive after this
Go into it being cautiously optimistic. I still haven't pre order it yet thanks to them showing the same thropes
Can they just fix the menus so we’re not constantly being ripped out of them just as we got to the page we needed?
Skarrow gained weight (in a good way), I remember watching you when you was skinny lol
Final Shape raid cannot be any less than King’s Fall length and detail with way higher stakes. Combine Vow and KF and you’ve got at least a start.
Ron is a fun raid theres no reason to make a fun raid a horrible raid.
People that still have hopes for this game are delusional
I am just hoping the game is good. OR absolutely terrible so I will stop playing. I am tired of it just being good enough to keep me addicted.
6. bring back gambit prime

“The Final Shape needs to avoid nostalgia bait at ALL COSTS, except it should also be Forsaken and the raid should be like my favorite childhood Zelda game” is certainly a take
I was using Forsaken as a comparison to how the DLC should house a lot of secrets, not that it should be similar in story lmao
Bro it can have Nostalgie is should just not be only Nostalgie is that too hard to understand?
If you want narrative and secrets d2 really isn't for u. The player base wants to kill stuff and get loot. 99% of players would rather have a few guns versus a useless cutscene
? Destiny’s most popular moments have all been secret and narrative based
let’s not make any stupid expectations yeah? if not met you’re gonna shit all over the game and blame bungie for it, but in fact you your self is the one to blame 😅 let’s just enjoy the game for what it is when it comes out.
I don’t think a single thing I said here is unreasonable, save putting the Dread in RoN which I pretty much say isn’t going to happen.
Listen my friend you are hoping for a new game...I mean look they cooked the dlc just enjoy it or quit the game...
Bungie making the final shape raid the most difficult would be the most incompetent decision any game studio could ever make.
