It is pronounced Tripura - as in trip+ura. Most Indian proper nouns are written phonetically - if it was called Trypura, then they would (usually) write it so. Just follow the lead of the folks around.

@@bjenks yeah it's written Ujjayanta everywhere but initially our king himself named it Nuyungma. After merged with India our Tipra kingdom became a part of India in 1949. After that no one care about the name of our Palace.
