Lovely build, looks absolutely fantastic!
Thanks very much, gives me confidence to carry on with scratch building. Cheers Graham 👍
Enjoy your railway when I see it graham
Cheers 👍
Hello Graham, you deserve a medal for what you have achieved with the building.
A lesson to me as to what can be done with your skill and patience, Bill.
Thanks for the kind words Bill, its much appreciated. Cheers Graham 👍
Congratulations on your build! It's convincing and impressive. The brutalist style shows post-war confidence and although not pretty does have a strange attractiveness!! Great stuff Graham.
Yep, studying it has made it grow on me. I must say I've got a certain fondness for it now. Cheers Graham 👍
Fantastic work. I'm inspired.
Very nice to hear, many thanks 😊 👍
You have the ability to model the entire station. Do the station and platform buildings too. Same method and it’ll look great. If it all looks as good as what you have done
Thanks very much for the endorsement and encouragement, it's really appreciated, cheers Graham 😊👍
Hi, great video, your extension looks amazing it reminds me of the Faller & Vollmer style euro buildings, it's such a shame the British model railway builds are so limited, you have done the right thing by building your own, thanks for sharing.
A pleasure, glad you enjoyed it. Cheers 👍
@@WHP1980s You have an amazing layout, your attention to detail is superb, keep up the great work.
@@StormmyStormmy thanks, very kind 👍
You've done a great job there, it's looking great 🙂👍
Cheers 👍
Busy watching it. What a cracking job, leave the black roof tops on as they finish it off. Yeh, the lifts would have been used for brutes. You could put small coffee shop & other stalls on the bridge, but would you be able to see them. 10 out of 10.
Thanks for watching 👍
A jolly good effort.
Thanks, it's still very much on-going. Cheers Graham 👍
Awesome job, it makes the station.
Thanks 👍
I have been looking for overhead station ideas for my layout as this is more appropriate for the space I have. I to have an attic layout, your station is so impressive I think it's brilliant. I've really been inspired by this and your complete layout. Great work!
Many thanks, I'm really glad to be able to pass on ideas and inspire other people in the hobby like yourself. As for myself, I can't put the project down and continue to work on the station almost daily in some shape or form. Will have to make another update soon. Cheers Graham 😊👍
Love the building equipment on site. I have said before on another layout when the guy was building houses, and I mentioned having some scaffolding around to show progress..😊
Try to add realism here and there if I can. Cheers Graham 👍
Graham mate superb work as I’ve said being ex rail staff you’ve cracked it lovely work ,you need to believe in your work mate you are a great modeller my friend your up there with the dean park and everard junction layouts as an experienced model maker and former railman you are ok in my book bud
Cheers
Mark 😊😊
Thanks for the very kind words mate. I am starting to think I can do more than I first thought. With this one, I've even amazed myself. I Keep looking at it and can't believe I made it now. Your endorsement means a lot with the real life experiences you've had. Atvb Graham 😊😊🍷🚂
Good Job 👍
Cheers 👍
Excellent video as usual. 😃👍
Many thanks 👍
What a fantastic job you have done, particularly when you showed the actual station. The station area nom looks superb.
Enjoyed studying the real subject, must do that more often. Cheers Graham 👍
That’s an excellent bit of modelling Graham, a lot of thought gone into it and the end result looks superb mate! 😃 cheers Darrell
Was a bit nervous about doing this, but it seems to have been a success. Can't wait to do some more now. Must go over and see what you've been up to on your layout. Many thanks Darrell 👍 @darrelldeltic807
Atvb Graham 😊
@@WHP1980s always inspiring to watch your progress Graham but think I’ve lost a bit of mojo on mine at the moment, not put much up and only been tinkering with sound on some locos but I have just purchased a class 50 fitted with the TXS sound decoder so hopefully it will nudge my enthusiasm again 😊
I'm sure your find your mojo again soon. Depressing time of year and hard to get motivated, but there's always the modellers man cave. 🙂😊👍
Looks great mate 😀
Thanks 👍
That looks fantastic. The way you have done it has encouraged me to have a go at scratch building.
Very nice to hear. Hopefully you enjoy the experience like I have. Cheers Graham 👍
Very nice. Scratch building is very rewarding. I love your layout. Hi from NZ
A big thanks from the other side of the world. Cheers Graham 👍 🍻
Brilliant job Graham. Just shows what you can do with a bit of confidence and enthusiasm. A real inspiration for us all in the model railway world. Well done !!!😀😀
Thanks 👍
That scratch build looks Excellent Graham. Really looks like your local too. 👏👏 certainly your patience and skills came to the fore building that. Thank you for sharing.
Cheers Mickey 👍
Great work Graham, great to also see the comparison with your local station, keep up the great works and videos, Cheers David
Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂
Many thanks for sharing this video Graham, can see the similarities now I have seen your video of Broxbourne station, well done. Like the idea of leaving the roof detachable to add detail of cafe, rooms, toilets and walkway. Will you be adding figures in and around the walkway, cafe and on the stairway? Just want I wanted, sit down with a beer (or two) and watch your video take care and looking forward to next one regards and cheers Barry..
Yep, figures will be added for sure. Enjoy your beer mate and thanks again for watching and commenting
Cheers Graham 👍 🍻
Superb effort there I think you really are capturing the essence and feel of the prototype, inspirational and a enjoyable watch, I look forward to further staton developments 😎
@@standclear502 cheers 🍻 👍
I thought that looked familiar, similar to Bishop’s Stortford pre-fire (mid 1980’s)and Harlow Town. Travelled through Broxbourne many a time and used the Lido swimming pool.
Nice you recognised it, yep shame about the Lido a big loss to the area. Still a good place to visit though. Cheers Graham 👍
Thanks for turning me on to Foamex. As an ex-engineer I love scratch building on my loft layout. Funny I am just starting on a three platform main station made mostly from 2mm grey card. I have ordered some foamex boards to see how handy this material is. Thanks Alan :o)
You won't regret it Alan, great stuff to model with. Thanks for watching mate👍🙂
Very nice Graham.... Must be a good feeling to bring this into being after so much planning, the station visit puts it all into perspective. Good use of modellers licence too. 38:05 I thought it looked so much better with the handrails, it needed that or lower panels i felt. But the rails are ideal, leaves all that detail inside visible.
Very watchable vids.
Thanks - Steve
Cheers Steve👍
Hello, great modelling that you've done with the station building. I was wondering where you sourced the brick cladding from and where you sourced the foamex?
Will add it to the more tab. Thanks for watching 👍
@@WHP1980s That's great. Thanks very much.
