You guys are amazing. For those of you that don't know these guys personally, they are truly some of the very best people you will ever run across. The knowledge they have at such a young age is very inspiring. They are as authentic as you get. Please follow them and share their stories with your friends.
Simple Living Alaska, Off Grid in Alaska and now Holdfast Alaska! You all are fantastic! Alaska tourism should be funding your vids, what a great representation of the state!
Watching again! One of the reasons I am enjoying your videos is because it reminds me of SIMPLE LIFE ALASKA RUclips . Forging, cooking, hunting, fishing, creating projects from available resources, and much more. There are so many similarities to SLA. Yet, each has a distinct personality! I look forward to each video.❤ Thank you for sharing!
Hello from Idaho!! Your chickens would likely benefit from a white light bulb set on a timer. The red is great for heat but does not mimic the daylight hours. ❤ Love your channel and thanks for sharing!
Thanks for explaining the steps you take, and sometimes the reasons why. As a 68 yr old retiree, living in a small town in Oklahoma, this is all new to me. I am catching up on the past episodes. If I were 30yrs younger, I would be finding a homestead of my own.
Would you do a sourdough video? I love your messy jar of sourdough. I would love to see how you feed and care for yours. I think I over think mine. Thanks
I lived in the interior of Alaska for 13 years in a dry cabin tok and Fairbanks and delta junction its a rough life but congratulations to you and your family I could not handle the cold and eventually wound up leaving but if I can call anywhere home It would be Alaska
I live in Sri Lanka where you never get a seasonal variation, and we don't get snow either. This is a totally different experience for us. I really enjoy all your videos. Thank you very much and stay safe and healthy.
Great content. In regards to your chickens they need more daylight in the winter. I would try a regular bulb on a timer. Chickens will be able to regulate their own body temp. Biggest factor to keep chickens safe in the winter is drafts, you have a nice coop set up. Try the white light. Happy holiday to you and your family.
@helenegelle RUclips is new to our family, and so is filming our private life. At this point, we are choosing to leave her out of the filming as she is too young to consent. This is a small snippet of our daily life; not its entirety. Thank you for your understanding
Awesome drone shots 👍, You have such a beautiful place with such an awesome view :) Love way you keep the wood up off the ground for blocking it :) I made different tools over the years to help me do the same with big full trees works great ! My video S3,E88, Hope it helps :) Stay warm take care"

Somebody has a knack for editing because these videos are really good. Also, after watching your sourdough starter video I dug out an old 80 year old Kerr brand mason jar and made a starter for myself. Im gonna try it out. How long does it take the starter to ''activate'' to be able to use it?
Nice update! Are you interested in reviewing our 6-in-1 drinking water tester? It can test bacteria, virus, microplastic, heavy metal, and weed killer, etc! We're sure that you'll love it.
Idk why but every time you use the chainsaw and get to close to it, I always get a little freaked that you might hurt yourself. I also ask God to protect you, 😊

Stihl stump vice, stihl 2 in 1 sharpener. The saw was still dull, nice saw though.

Thank you for the kind words! Good luck with the starter. As soon as you see regular bubbles after feeding, you’re ready to bake! 😊
Not sure if " that's interesting " is a positive or negative review of the cranberry pizza....
It wasn’t Dennis’ favorite, but I definitely liked it!
