I thoroughly enjoyed your trip report. Loganair are an absolute joy to fly with. One slight error in your report though, at 5:44 you say the incoming aircraft arrived from London City. This in fact should be London Heathrow- Loganair have never offered a Teesside- London City route and the E145 aircraft aren't certification to operate into London City. Looking forward to your next video, safe travels!
Nice video pal. I’m from Teesside, and I think your views on it are spot on 100%, respectable and honest. Good video again, I’ll subscribe. Take in Dalaman from Leeds sometime with Jet2. I do that route very often. Keep up the good work.
Been livin ere 6 yrs now and bein from Luton i missed a good hub ... Nice to see teesside Airport is now lookin like u could go somewhere and enjoy the experience
Nice review Jamie! I can't wait to enjoy a flight on Loganair with a regular cabin service. As for Teesside, I am certainly going to give it a visit soon!
This video is super helpful thank you :) I've never been before and I'm super anxious to pick someone up from Teesside airport this week because I don't know the layout
Good video. This is my local airport and I love it. I agree that it could be packed if there are more than a couple of holiday flights at same time. But I don’t think it’s too likely. The airport is so much better than it was when Peel ran it into the ground. Thanks for choosing Teesside for a video. I’ve subscribed 👍🏼
@@JTsJourneys Maybe... I know that there is a daily direct HUY-ABZ flight that is bookable at a high sum of money for just one way. I have seen the Teeside to Humberside flights - and returns - in the air as I live on the flightpath after all, but from what I can make out they seem to be used as training flights or merely to keep the currency for pilots. They did used to run the service, so I think perhaps its also a handy way of keeping the slots.
Another brilliant one Jamie! Great overview of Teesside, although I think I have to agree with your point about how crowded it could get with a couple of fully-loaded 737s about to depart. It looks clean, fresh and comfortable, but I couldn't help thinking that it reminded me of a conference centre, or a large community medical centre (if you removed the shops and bars 😄). I've never flown Loganair, or on an ERJ, both looked pretty decent. I think the lopsided nature of the ERJ would take a bit of getting used to for me. That's one smart uniform Loganair have got there though! As always, looking forward to the next one. 👍 P.S. Not sure how my comment ended up down here as a reply to another, I'm sure I typed it at the top level! Oh well. 🤷♂️
Nice one Jamie, very informative as usual. FYI, I was moaning about Loganair’s rubbish service the other day and they promptly informed me that “from September, water and a biscuit is available on board, no hot drinks though unfortunately at the moment”.
Great report! When did you fly? I ask as I flew on LM in August and had service onboard, albeit a cup of water and a tunnocks wafer. You’re right though, as an avgeek, I loved flying on the E145 and sitting so close to those engines was a real treat. I loved being able to film out of the opposite windows whilst on takeoff and landing, gives a different dimension to it. Look forward to the next vid
It was an SAS 737, that & the Fiji airways 737 you can see the tail poking out of the hanger behind the SAS aircraft, were both at teesside for dismantling with Wilis Asset management
Middlesbrough is not a big city, it’s not even a small city, though it probably should be; it’s a large town. I spent a few days holiday there just before the pandemic and I like the place. I seldom fly; to Newark New Jersey in the early 2000s and before that to Russia in 1974. I really don’t like the biggest airports, prefer the medium sized ones, though Teesside is probably a bit too small, with only a few flights and a very limited range of destinations. The airport’s biggest claim used to be it’s totally useless, and now closed, railway station. It had one train per week in one direction only. Even when it had more of a service almost nobody used it as it was a long walk from the airport entrance, with buses providing a better service. In some years it was Britain’s least used station with just a few tens of passengers per year, mainly rail fans just wanting to visit the station. Maybe the airport cafe should sell parmos!
Teesside airport is a gigantic waste of public taxes, it loses £12 million a year, for a handful of passengers a day Place is always empty and all its flights within England have all been permanently cancelled, due to zero demand but you can fly to Aberdeen , 😮, and we paid £40 to buy a useless airport
It does seem a bit unnecessary given the proximity to Newcastle which already has an established set of domestic and international connections. (and Manchester too?) More of a vanity project? If it looses so much it's hard to see a future
@@JTsJourneysthe trouble is this airport is costing the local tax payers a quarter of a million £ a week to stay open, it's losses are huge, and not getting any better, they have lost routes in the last year, the question is can they do better next year, the airport can't simply go on loosing 12 million every year, one newspaper article said the council was effectively paying every passenger £820 to come through the door, sobering thought

Thanks for the comment, and cheers for pointing out the Heathrow route! I had no idea the E145 couldn't operate into city
Great review, would love to see a Ryanair or TUI trip report from Teesside at some point. Or maybe even a TUI trip from Humberside?
Thanks! I’m hoping to get to Humberside airport in 2023, unsure which airline that’ll be on yet :)

Thanks! I need to get on jet2 again. Always a solid airline

a really good airport, much better than Luton!

Thanks! Well worth a visit, especially on a nice day when you can spend some time outside!

Doesn't look like you're picking them up from Teesside
@@skyline_supra_guy3756 Eh?
Thanks! Hopefully it was helpful, and hopefully you managed to pick them up following the incident at the weekend
All reopened now I believe

Thanks Dave! Really appreciate your support :)
A great review Jamie👍👍
Glad you think so!
Great video Jamie love exploring these little small English regional airports. DSA and HUY are my local small airports
Thanks! Those two are high on my list! Hopefully later this year or early next year I'll get to them
The profile needs to be raised more on Teesside , because even locals are unaware of the services available .
Funny fact about the destinations board at 2:57 - the flights to Humberside are not bookable
Yes, I think that's the flight that goes onto / comes from Aberdeen?

There seemed to be a "strobing" effect on the video of inside the lounges. Apart from that , I enjoyed that , great viewing area
Thanks! Yes the curse of the incorrect go pro setting with the new LED lighting!

Thanks! Its not the be all or end all really, but it's more that it was there, and it went away for far too long without being brought back!
Great report!

Thanks! I flew back in July. I'll have to try them again now service is back, worth it for a wafer!
For clarification, it's Teesside with 2 S. People get a bit touchy about these thing 🙄
Thanks! I've updated now :)
Great video! Random question but do you know where the 737 parked next to you was owned by/travelling to? 😊
Thanks! Sorry not a clue about that 737 next door!

Flying in July'24
enjoy the ride

Maybe the airport cafe should sell parmos!
The addition of Parmos would certainly upweight it as a destination airport!

Logan air certainly didn't make any profit on your flight.....looks nearly empty
Not many seats sold on this one, it was in covid times though
