I managed to go from almost complete beginner to learning this whole song in 3 days. There's still a LOOOOT of practic ahead e for it to be actually playable for me. But I know it all now and that's all thanks to you!!! My first proper piano song Thank you so much ❤
I think the beginning of the chorus is: middle note, lowest note, highest note … g-e-c, then f-d-b. Try it out! See what you think. Great tutorial though and to learn by ear- amazing!
alguns detalhes do vídeo, na hora do "Yoooooou" as notas certas estão na ordem reversa e na parte "i am the women who want you to win and i've been waiting, waiting for" fiona toca 3 vezes na original, igual no "bang it bite it bruise it"
Very cool, but I'm pretty sure the reason you're hearing Fiona's voice go sharp is actually because you're hearing the C# of the A7 she's playing on the piano, not Am7 like you're playing. She plays the Am7 for 2 beats, then goes to an A7 - this works because the flat 3rd (pedal tone C) would be in the blues scale anyway. That's the best part of the song IMO.
@@CodyHazelleMusic Cool, thank you for the acknowledgement. I am a much wonkier piano player than you are, and watching your correct RH fingerings for the verse gives me something to try to get better at (believe it or not I have to play those thirds with my thumb and pointer - 1 and 2 on the RH because I never learned how to alternate 1, 3; 2, 4; 3, 5 - as I'm presuming that's the proper way to do it), so thank you for that. But I do know theory so happy to help affirm that for you.
Sorry this reply is a month late: Do you have any other songs/compositions you're particularly interested in the inner workings? My well is a bit dry at the moment and I like suggestions :)
@@CodyHazelleMusic No worries! I'm super glad to have you replying. I would love to see a video tutorial for The Brothel by Susanne Sundfor. It is such a beautiful song and I can't find tutorials or scores of it nowhere. Other suggestions that I got from the top of my head are Sufjan Steven's "Concerning the UFO sighting near Highland, Illinois" for a more simple song, and also Bjork's "Pagan Poetry" as it would be very cool to learn more about it or even how to play it! Thank you so much for your answer!! Hope to see more of your videos in the future.
@@ramon5342 I just did a bit of listening and transcribing of that Bjork song. The whole thing is in A lydian so the notes are A B C# D# (the raised 4th, making it lydian) E F# G# A. She starts that first motif on the G# giving it a phrygian kind of sound. The chords throughout the whole song are A G#m C#m B. All normal chords in a song based on A lydian :) The other two I'll have to listen to more and see if they warrant a whole video
I learned it by ear and got as close as I could :) I'm sure some parts are wrong, but I played along with the recording many times and nothing caught my ear. What stands out to you?
@@CodyHazelleMusic okay with only ear to follow, it was really good!! just that at the "youuuuuuuuuuu to love me" the notes should (this is only a guess too haha) be G - E - C (repeat) - F - D - B (repeat) - G - B - D - G - D - B - G - !C#! - A - G - C# - A - A - C - E - !F#! - E - C - G - C# - A - G - C# - A - A - C - E - F# - E - C. I might be wrong tho. But I really enjoyed your analysis, thank you for this video !!
BANG IT! BITE IT! BRUISE IT! This video was fabulous.

Magnificent. By far one of the best tutorials I've ever seen. Thank you.
my piano hasn't got enough notes for me to play this accurately:(

This is so amazing! Do you have the sheets for this up for download or sale?
No ma'am. I generally don't write sheet music, I use my ears and then play it. You can of course look at my fingers and figure it out that way.
@@CodyHazelleMusic I definitely will! Thanks for the video 😄
Buen video
i think there are a few notes that should be different

i think it’s A7 not Am7
