    He is not trying to say that you should learn from mistakes. He’s saying you have to figure your body out by pushing hard during your beginner period when you’re still learning. Your form is not going to be perfect, it’s better to sacrifice form in some capacity in order to push harder when your new, because your body needs that experience of intensity to adapt to move the weight properly. In other words when you first start really pushing hard in the gym, perfect form is going to follow behind that, given you have at least some basic understanding of how to move your body. Hyper fixating on perfect technique before becoming an intermediate lifter is probably just going to hold you back.

      I think tht would have been an ok statement, but he didnt say that. I can only judge what he said , not what he wanted to say or maybe meant to say.

  • @jason2014
    @jason2014 8 дней назад

    I get what you're saying, but you're a little weak with your wording. "Lifting like an idiot" is sort of an assumption. He wasnt necessarily heaving the weight like youre imagining.. If 1 rep maxes are done with proper form, spotting and warmups, its not as "idiotic" as you think. Ive seen his squat form and it is absolutely perfect. His point is that he was able to conquer the hurdles of heavy weight training early on, where he was forced into good form to avoid injury and even made the neurological adaptations to it. He didnt preach that its the best way, he's just saying this is what worked for HIM. He even states we all have to find our own way..
    I partially agree with him.. the best bodybuilders seem to have at least some powerlifting background where triples and doubles are a daily thing. The ability to recruit maximal motor units can only be done under heavy load, and in the long term this will have excellent crossover benefits into hypertrophy training in the 8-20 rep range

    I’m not sure you understand what he is saying. He started and was very ignorant about what was most efficient. He means you have to mess up sometimes to be able to get better and learn from your mistakes. He is literally the best in the world. You should open your mind and take his advice and learn from his mistakes before you make them.

    • @overcome.podcast
      @overcome.podcast  9 дней назад

      exactly. and he recommended: do the same mistakes I did... he is right when he just have said : dont overthink it, but he actually advocated for bad form and getting injured and then adjust. Those are HIS words.
